People exploiting systems?

To my knowledge you're a good person Rbz, whether or not you did it is irrelevant, I can't claim to know since I didn't see the logs, but if you did do it, I'd say you're lucky Jacob is being lenient, and the best thing you could do is manup and just accept it, apologize, and move on.

However if you didn't do it, Jacob feels he has proof, he wouldn't accuse you without something solid. Fighting it is just isn't going to do anyone any good, I suggest letting it blow over and just continue to be a good member of the community.

Respectfully, no. Rep shows something different than a post count does or title does. Take Klown for instance, the massive amount of rep klown has shows that he is more than a person who uploads or post a lot. It shows that KLown is a HIGHLY respected member who contributes GREATLY to this site, and those contributions are of high quality.

I find it funny that everyone accuses each other of caring so much about rep points though. There really isn't anyone that makes a HUGE deal about it, and those small amount of complainers shouldn't invaildate a good system.

For what it's worth I don't think you're the type to pull shit like this. Not only does it go against your character but I can't see any motive. You're already a big name throughout the community, you wouldn't need to abuse something like the reputation system.

I don't really like any rep system, and doing away with them generally is for the better, however, some people do a lot of good for the forums. Those people deserve to be recognized, and for a place like here, where it's content is user driven, rep does make sense.

I dunno, I'm just a lurker. However, those guys who spend their free time getting stuff for lazy pricks like me deserve a pat on the back.

The reputation system is a pointless and useless feature. the case in question shows that is shouldn`t exist in the first place.

I'm never surprised that it's always the people without rep are saying that rep is useless. It's a major motivation to people who do things for the community, especially user uploads.

It's quite disappointing that most people who post in the request section never even use the rep system. If they did, Teclo would have well over a few hundred reps by now (seriously, he deserves way more than what he has now)

Wow this is unexpected but I for one do believe Rbz is not guilty of rep abusement. He's been here for a while and he knows better than to pull such a pathetic stunt. And Tranquility, who are you to say for him to accept this? Are you telling a valued member of the community as well as an older innocent user to accept such an unjust punishment?

PLUS: on the topic of RBZ I say we do not discuss it as nobody here knows the facts and it is a matter between the two of them. Discussion will only lead to flaming and a one side looking like an ass when the truth comes to light.

You missed the point of my post entirely, I said I do not know either way but offered a friendly suggestion. I didn't put a gun to his head and tell him to fess up or I'd blow his brains out.
