For cheaters, the idea is to BUILD rep, not destroy it...of course, if someone does exploit the system just to drop their rep, then they're being stupid. Then again, they're being stupid by trying to manipulate the system in the first place.

Aw man I had to miss everything when I was playing DFO... -_-; well anyways. Wow thats sucks Gin so you didn't get your rep back? Well since you don't really care about it that much I guess that's fine. And its great to see things worked out for Rbz as well. And lol because I think I know that "Snakeinabush123" guy, I have him in my friends list on xbox live I believe. He doesn't go onto the Fakku forums much from what I heard, but we have played together before.

Anyways what a bunch of idiots +repping themselves with alternate accounts, there really is no point in that it's all just a big waste of time because rep isn't what makes you who you are on the forums. It's making friends and getting to know your fellow members and being a part of the community or at least that's what I think.

Uh, I'm not sure but I think what the admins originally wanted was to use it as a way for appreciation of a member's contribution to Fakku. That's just what I think, but then it turned into something that people just want to have because it'll make them look special and that they can -rep whoever they wanted whether the reason was good or bad.

Can't believe I didn't see this until now but since people have been talking about changing the rep system why don't we get rid of the " -rep" option since It isn't like "+rep" which encourages people and is easily abused

example:

it's stupid people who exploit loopholes in the system that make sites look bad, and for fakku!, hentai as well

I've already spoken to Jacob about having a feature that allows users to disable reputation entirely. He seems to like the idea and will probably implement it later.

And again, to those who think the rep system is pointless, it's not. I find it better to have it than not simply because when someone earns it, they earned it. (In most cases) People who are being dicks and assholes and idiots on the forums will get de-repped. It's an indicator of status (depending on what scale you use because certain users/classes-of-users are excluded) and though there've been abuses, it's still working.
