ALL OF YOU ARE SOOOO WRONG!!!!!That not the new movie... that are not the poster of this new movie... etc.. and if you don't know there are already several movies.. most of them fanmade... and there is an official one, 100% Japan...
But the new one is been made here in México with all the actual effects... with all the... you know HOLLYWOOD thing..., and it say that is coming on 11-2008.
And the rumors said that Spielberg is on of the directors....
I'm eider know much about it... But what I know is that don't be fooled... and investigate it for yourself... or wait until you can actually see it on TV announced...
Wow... fail, massive fail.
Anyway, I'm actually looking forward to the movie. Through past experiences, I've learned to be a bit apprehensive when approaching live-action Dragonball movies, but there's something about this one that seems like it could be satisfactory, at the least. Even if it fails, I think it might still win.
I think Chow Yun-Fat as Master Roshi is epic, not to mention Randall Duk Kim as Grandpa Gohan and James Marsters as Piccolo, I mean that just sounds kind of awesome to me. Throw in Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, and Eriko Tamura and you got some nice eye candy. Even though they have a cock playing Goku and Joon Park, who I'd like to beat with a large frozen fish, playing Yamcha, I'd say that there's a lot of potential for it to be a semi-respectable movie.

Well, I feel I've read enough to make a formal comment on this subject, so therefore, I shall..... ok where'd my speech go... ah, here we go, ok, when I first saw the rumors of a "live action" DragonBall movie, I will admit, I thought it’d be a totally epic utter fail fest, but after reading a lot, and I mean a LOT of information about this movie, I can honestly say that I think it’ll be interesting, granted, it might not be what everyone wants it to be,, but people, it’s a adaptation so it’s not going to be EXACTLY like the cartoon or the manga, but I believe that it’ll be at least half-way decent. The only real gripe that I actually have so far (about the movie anyways) is the they chose Justin Chatwin (or whatever the dumbfuck's name is) to be Goku, but meh, it might work, who knows. Although I have to admit, the first time that someone in the movie, (and I’m sure this’ll happen once or twice) says “I’m looking for the dragonballs” there will be massive lulz. At least by me. as for going to see the movie, (whenever the hell it does come out) i have every intention of seeing it.

not to mention the Speed Racer movie which is widely believed to be excellent)?actually speed racer is widely thought of as crap.
i mean look at this http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/boxoffice/ it has done worse then what happens in vegas. it did 22 million its first week when it had nothing big opening with it. critics gave it an average of C and users gave it an average of B- on its yahoo page. not quite excellent.
as far as dragonball Im curious to see what Spike from buffy the vampire looks like as King picollo.
It ranked #3, and only because it released on the same weekend as Iron Man. And I don't consider critics' ratings to be reliable ratings for nostalgia movies.
Also, guys, this is a Dragonball movie. Martial arts, not beamspam. Goku losing to Master Roshi because his legs are shorter, not because of POWER LEVELS or BEAMSPAM. Stuff like that.

Stuff like that.Actually, the level of beam spam is up to the director. It's the Piccolo saga and that's where beam spam originated. They could make it a DBZ throwaway and ruin their chances at making it decent, or they might actually get a good balance.

I am not shure what to think. I hope it does well, but I think we're looking at an EPIC FAIL. I have known about this for about 8 months, And there is stuff about it on imdb.

I believe most viewers have been influenced by the so-called failures of past movie adaptations relating to anime and games. Assuming that 9 out of 10 live-action adaptations fail to meet expectations, the remaining one could be a success, and therefore, we should not judge the forthcoming Dragonball movie that harshly.
Some may claim that most of the cast are not of Asian origin, but if they were, would anyone take notice of the movie in the first place? *unsure*

Would anyone take this movie seriously if THIS was Master Roshi? This is from a Chinese rip-off of DBZ and it looks like shit. I'm glad Chow Yun-Fat is Roshi.

Yeah, I've already watched that, Not so bad when you watch it 'cause it's the exact COPY of Dragonball, with Pilaf, Oolong, and the China Roshi is the same bald-headed perverted Roshi from the original. My question is can Chow Yun Fat be as perverted as the real Roshi? because his "aura" just emits waves of wisdomness and virtue. :D

This is going to be horrible, honestly, I would give it more hope if they would of actually gotten Goku's race right (His ethnic background is supposed to be that of Asian, not Caucasian) then I don't have any belief's this movie will go anywhere.
I don't know what they did to get Akira Toriyama to allow this however, I remember he wouldn't allow for a DBZ to be made simply because he wanted an asian actor to actually play Goku.
That's my biggest beef, Bulma being white is reasonable, because that's what she is in the manga/anime. However, for Goku to be played by such a person, it would be equivalent to having an asian go being cast as Aragorn for Lord of the Rings.
I'm not even going to bother watching this at all, I'll just stick to the manga's and the animes.

"Goku" beats him by feeding him the seventh and that causes him to explode. So the question to ask is "why the fuck was he eating things that would blow him up and kill him?"
