This was linked on the Twitter thread, anyone know if this is legit or just some random dude pretending to be important?

If it is real, a fix might take a while, or never come at all.....

If so then FAKKU should remove the game from sale and refund everyone who bought it(or the patch) cause this release doesn't uphold the original promise of being uncensored.

There was never any mention of the game being uncensored (mosaics removed), all promotional images had mosaics and the game was tagged as censored on the main page (meaning it would include mosaics). That's not what the problem here is.

I'll work on getting an official statement prepared for today/tomorrow, right now we're still just waiting to hear the next step to fix this.

Summary: Hey guys dovac here. I don't like the game, so I didn't research anything about it and half assed my job and guess what, we merged the 18+ and the all ages release haha. Also we aren't allowed to touch the game so don't expect a fix any time soon. Pls don't be rude to me :(

That was posted by the CEO of Sekai Project, known as "Dovac". Though it sorts of puzzles me that he says he was "assigned" to the project, as if someone else outranked him.

Thanks. The way the post was written made me think something like that, but since the Twitter account linked to verify it didn't even mention Sekai Project or the accountholder's occupation I was unsure.

I mean uncensored as in it has all the contents of the 18+ version, that was poorly worded on my part.

Edit: My post might've been kind harsh, sorry, but I've paid 15 dollars for something that I didn't get and I'm kinda upset

Well I imagine getting the license to publish the game does not mean you have free reign to do whatever you want. That said, I have no idea what the process is for localizing a game. Why is code being touched at all? Unless the UI and such are hard coded for the Japanese audience. Who's doing these massive branch merges and are they reviewing their work?

My real gripes are that there wasn't a proper QA job prior to release and that the release was botched instead of delayed. Of course nobody likes a delayed release either, but I think there's a lot more frustration now than there would have been had they pushed it back.

In any case, I don't see why he'd lie about it. Let's wait for another update.

He's drawn flak in the past for abrasive public comments. I don't think he (or Sekai Project) wants comments on the account associated with the company. But well, you asked.

In that case it seems pretty stupid to make posts like that on it.

No problem, as is always our policy, if you're unhappy we have no problem giving you a refund.

Question how long is the return policy good for? I wanna give fakku a chance to resolve this before I request for a refund? Because at this point I and many others have been screwed over by sekaiproject so much that I don't want to support that company anymore.

I'd also like to know that. If this is going to take a long while, I'd rather get a refund.

I was looking forward to playing this, but I don't want to wait years for Sekai to fix this, I've done that way too many times now.

Yes, I don't have to get it tomorrow. But I'm also not willing to wait months for the game in its correct state that I pre-ordered.
2
Ditto, If I have to wait months for the actual version i paid for, I'd very much want a refund for a game I paid $30 for.

I don't have very high hopes really, do you guys know SP haven't fixed any of their past releases yet, right? Chrono Clock, Hoshimemo, Leyline... and it just keep happening, they just apologize and forget about everything. Dovac is a liar and SP just doesn't care about their customers, my only tiny hope was FAKKU putting pressure on them to actually do something this time, since they can't just ignore FAKKU, but I don't really know anymore. FAKKU clearly isn't at fault here and I love Lose so fucking much; those are the reasons I haven't asked for a refund yet, but like many of you, I'm not gonna wait for months for a simple patch/fix.

This is a big yikes, sucks that fakku is in this situation, this is the first time i've heard about Sekai Project and people do not have nice things to say about them on here and on reddit. So my only question is, how bad is it? How close is it to the original game and how much content is missing? I haven't had time to play the game yet so I wanna know if it ruins the experience.
2
As someone who has been in the situation of preordering a game that ended up being censored on release (Shiny Days) and waiting for an indeterminate period (3 months in that case), my recommendation is to take the refund. You can always re-buy the game once the problem is fixed. One very possible scenario is that you wait a long time and the game goes on sale at some point, and then you really feel like a tool. That also happened to me.

You are basically playing the all ages version with the h-scenes slapped into it. Missing CGs and sprites, script changes, missing voice lines... It's pretty fucked up.

And Dovac goes to fucking Disneyland instead of working on fixing his shit https://twitter.com/dobacco/status/1013483938726096896

From my experience with SP I can say that. It will take Year (if not more) to fix issue. Unfortunately they become very irresponsible company.

So... those of us who have already bought the patch... do not need to buy it again when it is fixed yes?

Of course not. Once fix is out (which I doubt be soon) everyone who bought it gets for free
