Dovac too busy fucking around in Disneyland to care lul. Just wait another year till SP does something about it or some random 4chan user will fix it

The publisher is currently in talks with the developer in Japan to resolve this issue. I'll update this topic as soon as I know more. Once we get the fixed version of the game, we will automatically update the Maitetsu and Maitetsu (18+ DLC) pages with new downloads in addition to posting an update in this thread with more information.

As with all purchases on FAKKU, if anyone would like a refund you can email support@fakku.net and we'll take care of it immediately.

Can you give us an ETA? Obviously I don't expect a concrete number but at least an estimate if we're looking at <2 weeks, a month or longer would be great.

Hello. First of all, I'll give you some context. I'm a first time FAKKU client. I haven't heard of FAKKU before the Maitetsu release. I was very happy to see some company stepping up for such a release, and even bought two copies of it, one for a friend, to give as much support as I could.

The next, all of you know already. What was expected from sekai happened, this time involving FAKKU too. So this days I've been waiting like everyone for updates (a fix is likely to take weeks or even months, but maybe we could get AT LEAST an estimate for something we paid for). Well, nothing of the sort on twitter, so I did go ask in Sekai Project's discord.

A discussion on the meaning of "censorship" was in time. Because apparently in their eyes, explicitly dovac, the same guy that twitted dovac's post this (TL;DR is he didn't care much because he don't like the game anyway), explicitly this guy thinks it is not their fault. It may actually be FAKKUs fault, for saying the game was going to be 100% uncensored. It was a communication problem between Sekai Project and FAKKU. Here is a capture:

So, I'm now very dissapointed. I'm dissapointed because I was glad FAKKU had joined us in such a fashion, even dreaming about games like monobeno, as many others did as far as I can read in your forums and Maitetsu page, and now I'm sure we'll get nothing. And we'll probably get nothing else regarding what we bought last week, because apparently in Sekai Project's eyes this is all a communication issue with you guys at FAKKU, and not something to fix.

Best of luck next time you make deals with other companies @Fakku!, and sadly thanks for nothing.

As far as I'm aware we did not market it as 100% uncensored as you described. If it got posted as such somewhere please let us know so we can correct it.

On our promotional page for Maitetsu, I specifically made sure to write it as uncut.
https://store.fakku.net/pages/maitetsu

I even made sure it had the censored tag on it's listing on the main site:
https://www.fakku.net/games/maitetsu-english

I personally asked for confirmation if it had mosaics or not before the preorder even went up. I got confirmation that there was mosaics, which is why it says uncut on the pages and has the censored tag.

In regards to the issues with the missing assets and bugs in the game, as stated here https://www.fakku.net/forums/posts/4736251#4736251 the publisher is currently in talks with Japan to resolve the issue on their end so that they can provide us with a build that is working.

I'm feeling a lot of anger and frustration from this thread. I get it, it's completely warranted. But please try to keep calm. If you desire a refund, go for it. But spewing negativity all over the place does not help anyone, nor does it do anything to fix the situation.

This includes attacking the publisher and their employees. Even if it's their fault, do you honestly believe that blasting negativity at them is going to fix anything? How would you feel if when you make a mistake at work, your boss decides to start micromanaging you and scream in your ear for every last thing? Do you think you would be able to work better or more efficiently under those conditions?

It is absolutely important to express your concerns and criticize where necessary. But if you're just going to blow up with negativity you're only making things worse for everyone.

I am relatively new to VNs in general. I made a Fakku account just to buy this dlc (which I'm waiting until it is fixed to do so). The only prior experience I had with Sekai Project before was buying a couple other VNs. They didn't have any issues. But from what I've read this is a common theme with them, apparently. However, the Fakku support seems to be watching the situation so they can correctly get the uncut version. I am fairly patient, but hope for a timely fix, like everyone else.

I read the FAQs (maybe I'm blind), but still have a question about the platform. Do I have a limited number of downloads for purchases?

@Kisuka & @razisgosu
Sorry, replying to clarify, I made myself not clear by stating that FAKKU store said 100% uncensored, which isn't true. As can be seen here it said "completely uncut with no scenes removed.". My bad for not being precise, but as you can see in the example I gave in their discord, I was reffering to edited scenes and not mosaics (which are to be expected), which doesn't really comply with "no scenes removed".

TL;DR: I was reffering to the bugged version on my post, not mosaics.

There's no download limit once purchased!

And its a bug and will be fixed. Not sure where or how you got the understanding it wont be. Thats what i meant. You're spreading misinformation.

It's OK if you choose not to read my post/screencap or not to understand it deliberately and also ignore other peoples points on twitter & internet message boards on why the bugged version won't likely be fixed. After all you were in their discord trying to befriend them for whatever reason you have. I hope they are giving you tasty cookies and some pats in the head as a reward at least.

Thanks for your opinion, please don't continue to argue with me if you don't agree, it was not my intention to argue here, just wanted to post their attitude with a screencap, and how it is perceived by some of the people that bought the game and why.

While I agree that there is a level past which anger becomes counter-productive, I do think that it is very important for people to express their frustration at this issue, in order for the parties involved to get the point and treat the issue seriously. If this had been a slight mishap (e.g. not catching a misspelled word in editing) the situation would have been different, but what this issue shows is an extreme level of negligence in the release of a commercial product. The fact that nobody on the publisher/vendor side noticed missing content which is blatantly obvious within the first hour of playing the game is absolutely astounding, or it would be, were it not for Sekai's already tarnished record. It is important, therefore, that buyers express their frustration in an effort to drive across the points that:

A) this is a serious situation and must be addressed quickly
B) this sort of situation should never happen again

I think most of us would love nothing more than to show full support for the companies involved in releasing games we love, but sadly this has lead to some publishers abusing the trust we have given them.

How can you affirm that it will be fixed ? Especially considering Sekai Project hasn't fixed some of their past releases yet ( And probably never will ) It's funny how Sekai Project's official twitter account hasn't acknowledged the issue with Maitetsu release, in fact they haven't even mentioned Maitetsu at all since the release.

Yeah but unfortunately this has devolved into some people attacking a certain someone on social media and nitpicking everything they say (they need to quit responding too). It's become rather petty and a waste of everyone's time. I don't want this behavior to spread. It's unbecoming of the community. If you want to send a message, withhold your purchase or refund, cite your concerns, and encourage others to do the same. All this petty feces throwing does not benefit anyone and only helps breed more useless negativity.

You're also clearly misunderstanding SP here. They arent saying this is a comms issue. Not even once.

The last line in the screenshot literally says "I'm saying there were communications issues".

And before he said "No porn ---> 100% censored. Porn ---> 100% uncensored" which in the current context could be understood in the way that the non-porn CGs are intentionally censored.

So how can you say they aren't saying there was a communications issue.

Hello raymaptives,

Apologies, we are currently away setting up at Anime Expo and will be able to handle the refund or trade request when we return. Sorry for the inconvenience caused by this!

From the very moment that I heard about this project I knew that it epitomized the meaning of the phrase "too good to be true".
What with the controversial content keeping us from seeing a steady stream of public updates till the very end, to the absolute dearth of tie in merchandise being brought over from Japan.
(I personally feel that had Fakku been involved with this project from the start we'd have seen at least a couple of physical Maitetsu merch pieces make it over to the US, but I digress...)

Sekai should have never worked on this project, and Dovac extreme lack of professionalism in his mini manifesto detailing Maitetsu as well as mutiple other games over on his twitter is the nail in the coffin for me and many others.
He literally admitted to not being interested in his work and now the consumers who had love in their hearts for the product; have to suffer for it...

Manga Gamer on the other hand has already successfully put out 3(!!) VNs that include loli content, 2 of which are exclusively that content, and has had no problems marketing or selling them. Imouto Paradise is even one of their best sellers! They should have been the ones to work with Maitetsu and forever after I'll wonder why they didn't...

Sure I hope it get fixed. Do I think it will? I don't know... I'm just glad we have Fakku on our side....gosh what a conflicting time.....

Yea I am in the same boat tbh. Still disappointed so far, and hoping it will be fixed asap. Maitetsu getting a totally uncut release would have been - and still could be, maybe - a huge win.

I think the quoted Discord discussion reflects your own confusion over messaging indicating "has mosaics" and "has content alterations from the non-adult version". Dovac seems to have been referring to a potential misunderstanding over whether the game had mosaics by FAKKU, leading to misleading marketing. But, in reality, this misunderstanding does not appear to have actually occurred--he may have been misled to this conclusion by your leading questions? You can see how use of ambiguous terms leads to unnecessary misunderstandings and potential conflict, so try and keep this in mind for the future...
