[Locked] DONATE REP TO G-MONEY

@PersonDude: Don't waste your time and mine by attacking my examples, which I note do nothing to add to the core of discussion. Difference of opinion - so what? I note that with each counterargument you make, they dodge my own points.Without a strong evidence/examples, you don't have a solid argument/your core point. You don't have solid examples making your core points flimsy at best. It's an argumentative technique to attack the evidence. It's a high school English level, you should take it some time.

As for uploaded material, if you believe that everyone here uploads material on the thought of purely gaining rep, you're wrong. How many uploaders here actually gain rep?ALL the repeat uploaders gain rep. Please, spare me your naive outlook that people do shit out of charity while expecting no returns.
I do realize there are problems with the rep system, but people are turning a mole hill into a mountain. It's not that big of a problem, and most of the shit people use as examples as proof that our rep system is broken isn't even notable.

The fact that he was banned, hostile or immature, and told off by Raze doesn't really have anything to do with the fact that I think he's a funny guy. He's got the skill to be funny and if he gains rep because he's funny, then he got it legitimately. On the flip side, if he loses rep for not being funny and being annoying instead, then that's legitimate too.
And I've got no problems with that. Just make sure you aren't telling me it's right or wrong on how I should rep a comedian, acceptable joke or not.

@TMS: learn a new joke kiddo.
@Warr: I don't really like your implication that I -rep lolz as this is something I rarely do and have only done to counter +reps that he got that I felt were beyond the normal level of bs that "earns" him +rep. Perhaps one should consider the theory that less outspoken people also find him tedious and unpleasant?

Bleh, I know lol12 doesn't care about his rep, it probably was veiled satire. I also believe lol12 is funny most of the time and enjoy his work. I think the reason for his low rep count is due to his open hostility (even in jest) generates negative opinion of his character. Ramsus is one example of someone who may feel slighted by lol12 (though I don't know if Ram has anything to do with lol12's negative rep), it's just an example the reputation lol12 has created. (never believed I would see the day; I'm with Hina on this one.) really dude? Did you bother reading anything after I made the example? You of all people... I expect more from you, especially when trying to interpret one of my posts.

You're entitled to your opinion, and I'm entitled to mine. And don't tell me how to argue - I've been in debate club and written plenty of essays and speeches on persuasion. If you weren't so damn busy looking for logical fallacies or contradictions in my examples rather looking at the content, maybe I would actually take your words into consideration. If you can't appreciate what I'm doing here, then get out and don't come here. It's your prerogative to come in this thread and get something out of it, and if you're so annoyed by my use of examples and arguments, then why bother? If I knew any better, you'd be trolling me. Also directly attacking the oppposing user is a sure way to tell that the argument has gone beyond the civil level into a personal-insults slugging contest, so good job at discrediting your own arguments.

Did I not say that the upload/rep system works as a give and take relationship? You think I believe on a general whole that people upload stuff for charity? No. But I do believe that people upload stuff simply because they can to help contribute to the community. If everyone was as selfish as you have implied, it only strengthens my argument that said rep-contests are even more despicable to gain rep since that is barely a give and take relationship from what I've seen.

So, if lollollol12 said that he was a racist person, and mind you his beginning posts were plenty racist, you would rep him on that too, right? Knowing that he wasn't serious? Or maybe he was, before the community complained and the admins decided to take action? Is that acceptable, to be racist on the internet and get away with it? PersonDude, as far as I'm concerned, your arguments do not even touch mine because you are so subjective in defending lollollol12 and his horseshit antics. In fact, from a serious thread, he managed to poke his head in and disrupt the flow by posting nonsensical shit that I choose to ignore because it is bullshit, and in return he got negged rep - his actions only goes to corroborate my arguments. If he is so damn funny, why don't you +rep him back? Either way, you'd be supporting my position.
And as I mentioned before, I'm making a general plea to community to get their heads strapped on right and set their hearts in the right place. I can only do so much to fix a system that deserves some saving since it still means something.

Conflictions, discrimination, different views. Happens.
TBH, get rid of rep. Ive said it at the start and ill say it again. REP ruins communities that are not ready to embrace that it is a joke and a failure system of a reward.
I currently very strongly follow three forums (not including fakku.). Out of those three, one has a rep system while the others don't. The two that don't are the most fabulous, hilarious bunch of people i have every meet. You never get major confrontation or discrimination in these two forums, it makes the forums a fun place to interact with people. With he absence of rep, no one feels upset or "lower" than someone else.
In the forum with rep, the community has recognized that rep is a joke and take it as purely a joke. This is apparent because the rep comments are shared openly.
If the fakku community isn't ready to proclaim the rep system as a joke, and by the looks of it we are far off it, than the only option is to get rid of it entirely.
My 2c of experience.

Rhode Island and Providence Plantations,[3] more commonly referred to as Rhode Island (en-us-Rhode Island.ogg /roʊd ˈaɪlɨnd/ (help·info)), is a state in the New England region of the United States. It is the smallest U.S. state by area. Rhode Island borders Connecticut to the west, Massachusetts to the north and east, and shares a water boundary with New York's Long Island to the southwest.
Despite the name, most of Rhode Island is in fact on the mainland. The name Rhode Island and Providence Plantations derives from the merging of two colonies, Providence Plantations and Rhode Island. Providence Plantations was the name of the colony founded by Roger Williams in the area now known as the City of Providence. Rhode Island was the area now known as Aquidneck Island, which now comprises the city of Newport and the towns of Middletown and Portsmouth, the largest of several islands in Narragansett Bay.[4]
Rhode Island was the first of the thirteen original colonies to declare independence from British rule and the last to ratify the United States Constitution.[5][6]
Rhode Island's official nickname is "The Ocean State", a reference to the state's geography, as nearly one tenth of the state's inland area is covered by salt water.

Give and take. Though Waar doesn't hand out rep nor does he ask for rep, he's renowned for creating the waifu game. People want this type of reputation and create games for it and if they think it takes rep as a prize to make it more interesting, then so be it.

I disagree of abolishing the rep system. The rep system is one of the motivators that lead users to contribute to fakku even uploaders. They may deny it or disagree with what I will say but beneath everything there's always a desire for recognition. If a story writer write stories and noone gives them a sign that their stories are appreciated will they still continue to write? I've seen many forums which lacked the rep system and I observed that almost noone uploads in their uploads section. All they talk about are episodes of an anime or chapters of a manga which made the site look dorkish.
The rep system as you say invites chaos once in a while but behind the chaos also lies advantages. Besides tell me exactly how rep negatively affects the users? In theory no matter how big a person's rep is the only thing he should gain is the satisfaction of knowing that his works are appreciated. This should not affect the people around him at all, there should not be any chaos. But why does trouble ensue? It's simply because some users make a big deal out of it. If we can ignore it for a while I'm sure it can do wonders. The only people that should be affected by reps are the people repped and -repped themselves. Why should anyone else be affected? Are they intimidated? Jealous? Until now I have found no reason why people let rep get into their skins when in reality it's merely a token of good work.

Lol, if that's the only fault you were able to find in my argument, I'm fine with that.

@PersonDude: for arguing for the sake of arguing, which I believe you to be doing, you've failed spectacularly.
As far as I can tell, you aren't attacking any fallacy or contradictions in my arguments of examples as I see it nothing as a defense to someone you support. Subjectiveness does nothing to build your argument, and neither does insulting other party.
If I was part of the administrative staff, then yes, I would be telling you how to exercise your rights on how to use rep. Since I am not, I am only exemplifying what I consider to be an appropriate usage of rep, which is something that I feel still has value. This is not and was not supposed to be an argument, but thanks to you, you've made it a personal one, and one I intend to fight because you can't appreciate what I'm trying to do, which is nothing more than throwing caution to the winds about using rep wisely. I never said nor directly implied that your use of repping lollollol12 was wrong. I mentioned that people de-rep him because others find what you find amusing to be offensive. You're arguing points that are irrelevant to my argument, which means that you need to study up on how to argue. Two people arguing two different things is guaranteed to go nowhere. Like us.
What the hell is passive aggressive agreement? You've made an oxymoron that only cuts down your argument.
One, using Waar as an example is wrong because he does not give out rep, and it has long since he's been repped for the creation of the waifu game. His intent behind the game was not to gain nor give out rep like the so-called rep contests that I'm lambasting. You wanna talk innappropriate use of examples? Then what is this line of crap you're feeding me?
The fact that I can type this all out in the quick reply function tells me that your arguments are on the elementary scale. For person who says he can argue, I see you giving up instead of putting up a more valiant effort in making his arguments make sense instead of trying to criticize a user who's original intent with this thread was nothing more than advice.
And as I mentioned before, I'm making a general plea to community to get their heads strapped on right and set their hearts in the right place. I can only do so much to fix a system that deserves some saving since it still means something.

Then do you not agree with me that the problem lies with the attitude of the users NOT with the rep system itself?

@Rbz: your posts bring me the lulz.
@hinagiku: no no, I agree that the rep system is broken BECAUSE of user attitudes, but I think the rep system was initially set up that it could be abused. It really is user attitude that determines the value of rep, and because of unwise and flippant usage of rep by the users, rep has lost it's value which is sad.

I see, so you look at it that way. In my point of view however, rep still serves its true purpose. The uploaders are still motivated to share and I see more contributors work for their rep. Those who abuse it gain nothing from it. Do they get satisfaction from seeing reps that they got for no reason? When uploaders get a rep they feel "someone likes what I shared fuck yes!" But when cheaters look at their reps how exactly do they feel? It would only serve to make them feel pathetic about themselves for tapping their own backs.
For the -reppers it's a completely different thing. I have no problems about +reps but getting constantly -repped is truely what I would call broken not the overall rep system itself. Why do I say the process of -rep is broken while +rep isn't? To -rep someone is already a form of attack. Attacks are not meant to be handed down to irresponsible people and haters who would like to see other people break down. +rep however is a form of praise. Anyone has the right to commend people for their good work or funny joke or whatever it is that they did pleasing.
