「As soon as the flash dispersed, I see a K.O.'d guy on the floor and the other bandits still staggered. Somehow, I feel like I need to talk to that guy so I quickly rushed out the bar. I quickly turned my head left and right but I couldn't find him.ã€
"Eh? That guy's fast... That Sun Marble... Where could he have gotten them? All this commotion has really tired me out. I'll head back to the inn. But... I'm really troubled about that job request... Will the little girl be safe?"

「I couldn't sleep at all. But somehow, I'm not tired... I don't know why I couldn't fall asleep, I mean, nothing was going through my mind all night. The only thing that was troubling me was "WHY. CAN'T. I. SLEEP?" No use complaining about it now. I'll just go out and walk around the city and if I stumble upon those thugs from yesterday, I'll stalk keep an eye on them, just in case I can steal some info from them.ã€
「I kept walking and walking, but I found nothing or no one interesting. It must be my unlucky day today. As I sighed, I noticed a small girl with weird ears and long green hair, swaying in the wind. I thought she looked kind of weird and I was really intrigued by her. As I try to approach her, I heard a huge commotion going down somewhere not too far from here. When I turned back to look at the little girl, but... She was gone. Weird... Oh well, I'll just head over to where the commotion is and find out what's going on.ã€

Let's see, she said she was by the stream outback. Stream, stream...ah there it is. And there she is. She's pretty much just like the thugs described her. A small girl in a worn sundress, short brown hair, and her most noticeable feature, heterochromia. While her right eye is brown, her left eye is a deep blue. They told me that if I wanted to find her I should look for that eye since not a lot of people have heterochromia in the area. She's carrying two large buckets filler with water and looks tired. I approach her and she stops.
"Hi, your auntie sent me to help you."
She looks at me a little relieved.
"Is that so? Good thing. I was starting to get tired."
She hands me over the buckets. These things are heavy. How was she carrying these by herself? We soon arrive a the house.
"Hi auntie we're back"
"That's good to hear. Umm...would you like to stay for dinner mister? It's not much, but we can share if you'd like"
"No, I'd better get going" I say.
"Are you sure? I'd be nice to have someone around again. We don't get many visitors."
I guess I don't have anything better to do right now, do I?
"Well alright then. Are you sure it isn't too much to ask?"
"We wouldn't offer if it was"
Makes sense. I stay for a while longer and enjoy a great meal. After sharing a few stories of what I decide that it's time to leave. But first I have to do something that will bug me later if I don't.
"Before I go I want to give you this." I take out a tracking device that, to the untrained eye, looks like a jewelry pin
"If you ever run into trouble, touch the red jewel in the middle until it starts to glow. I'll be sure to come as soon as possible to help. Give it to Stella or keep it for yourself. Just have it with you two at all times."
She thanks me and we say our goodbyes.
Now I feel better inside. I see them wave goodbye as my ship takes off the ground and I wave back, though I'm sure I'm probably too high up for them to see me.
I set course to another city on the map and rest on the pilot chair as the autopilot takes over from here.
"I hope they never have to use it" I say to myself
"Because if they do, depending on how far I am I might not be able to respond in time"
I think about it a bit longer until I eventually fall asleep on the chair.

「Even after I was done eating the meal I ordered at the café, I didn't manage to find out what I should do next... I'm almost broke and there's no way for me to get money aside that tournament, but that's way too much of a hassle. Finding a mercenary job here is out of the question too, especially after what happened. Maybe I should loot bandits? Wait... Loot... Loot? Oh! Right!! There are dungeon explorers here and there, why haven't I thought of that!? ... Meh, too much of a hassle too.ã€

I'm woken up suddenly by the insistent vibrating of my GPS. Apparently it's picking up the same electronic signal that I picked up in Ostia, which is odd seeing as though I'm currently over the ocean. I tell the GPS to try to point to the position where the signal is coming from and it said that it was in the air. So I look out the deck and see where it might be coming from.
Off in the distance there is another ship. Through the ship's visual enhancers, I see that it's shaped like a fish (like almost every other ship here). Another thing I see is the crest of the new group called Ala Alba. I wonder where they are going?
As I'm about to hail them, an alarm rings off inside my ship.
"No, it can't be"
But it is. The tracking device that I gave to Stella's aunt has been activated.

「Strolling around this bustling city is really enjoyable. I really never get tired of this cheery atmosphere. One of the main reasons why I like to spend my day outside, walking around Ostia. As I peacefully walked through the city, there was suddenly a huge gust of air. When I can finally lift my head up and look at the sky, I saw the ship that was being in reparation, heading North, and quite fast at that!ã€
「Somehow, I have a bad feeling about this... I quickly flew in the direction where the ship was headed.ã€
「A few miles later, I ended up in a forest and I lost track of the ship. I've really done it now, I'm completely lost... "I DON'T WANT TO DIE HE--" As I was screaming my despair in my head, I suddenly heard voices. I try to find the source of the voices and there, two bandits, quickly running somewhere... They look familiar...ã€
"The boss heading to girl, preparations on our side done, hurry!"
「Hearing that, I grinned sadistically.ã€
"Hehehe...Hehehe...Hahaha...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
「I suddenly started laughing, well, this is my lucky day! They are the thugs from yesterday, they're heading off to kill the kid, they know the way there and they probably have some Drachma on them, wooooooooo!ã€
"Who there?!"
「Letting them no time to react, I quickly shoot them small rocks at bullet speed, aiming for their legs and arms, disabling them. I approached them with a sadistic grin.ã€
"Now now fellas, first, I'll need to loot ok? Please don't move~ [size=3]Else I'll break a leg or two~[/h]"
「The thugs panicked, I searched for any kind of items that I could sell. But... NOTHING!? They only had weapons on them. Damn it! Oh well...ã€

I arrive to the house as fast as I can and jump off the ship. I don't land the ship because I know that it might make noise so I just leave it hovering, as a result I land pretty hard. I slightly fractured my right leg, but because of the adrenaline I wont realize it until later. I run towards the house and I can see that the front door is smashed in and I hear screams. I quickly grab my Solar Rifle and a couple of Sun Marbles before entering and go in.
Inside I see that guy that wanted to hire me beating Stella's aunt.
"HEY! PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE" I yell, holding up my rifle.
He quickly turns around, holding Stella's aunt hostage style with a knife to her neck. He quickly recognizes me.
"Well, if it isn't our little moral friend. Look at what you've made me do. Since you did not wish to take job, I have to do it myself" He holds the knife closer to her neck. Coward. hiding behind the innocent. She struggles, obviously and understandably scared.
"Let her go or I swear I'll blow your skull off"
"I can not do that. You see, I can not find child so I kill her instead. Perhaps if you pay up Drachma for her, I let go."
"I don't have that kind of money, but I do have a ship outside that you can take if you want, just let her go."
"Ship not enough. She dies n-"
Before he can finish the sentence, I pull the trigger. He was obviously going to kill her unless he got his hands on the Drachma he wants and I had no intention on negotiating with him. I was just buying time until I reduced the power output of the rifle so that the heat from the beam wouldn't hurt Stella's aunt.
The guy's body drops to the ground, with a clean hole the size of a coin going through through his head. I try to comfort Stella's aunt. She's obviously been through a lot.
"Are you alright?" I ask. "Where is Stella?"
After cleaning some tears away she answers.
"I hid her in a small compartment under the house. Thank you so much. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't showed up"
"Don't think about it." I tell her and she goes off to find Stella, but before she can get where ever it is she is going, I tell her to stop and get down.

I look outside through a window and see three people coming in this direction. I recognize one of the guys because his nose is bandaged up. He's the guy who tried to stop me back at the bar. I recognize his friend too, but who's the third guy? He has a sinister looking smile on his face.
I raise up my rifle and aim through it's scope. I aim at the guy with the bandaged nose and fire. Without restricting the firepower, his head instantly disappears completely in a beam of light. His headless body walks a couple of more steps and falls to he ground. The two other guys quickly stop. I come out of the house, rifle raised.
"Freeze!" I yell "Stop where you are or you end up like him"

「As we walked, the bandit to my left's head suddenly blew up. Surprised, I put myself on guard, mentally that is, can't show the enemy that I am waiting for him to come. I looked in front of me, a few meters away, a familiar guy was pointing his rifle at us. Looking closer, it's the guy from the bar yesterday!ã€
"Whew! Nice aim there kind guy. Although, I'm not sure if I can say that you're kind since you just blew up this idiot's head. At least, you haven't dirtied my clothes! I presume you have secured the area and saved the little girl eh?"
「I put my hands up in the air, just in case he still thinks I'm an enemy from that comment. I subtly hint to the other bandit to do the same if he doesn't want to die.ã€
"You can lower your gun! I'm a good guy, but this guy here isn't though, shoot him if you want to!"

I don't know if I can trust that third guy, but he seems to be telling the truth from the terrified look that that second guy made. I lower my rifle, but I keep a Sun Marble in hand just in case.

I start to walk closer, but a sudden surge of pain runs through my right leg. What the hell? When did I get hurt? I drop to my knee and take hold of a side arm in case they want to take this as an opportunity to attack. If I go down I wont go down without a fight.
"Who are you and why do you want to get involved?. Did someone send you?"
"Don't kill him yet. Try to see if you can get any info out of him. Then you can do whatever you want with him."
