The small ship doesn't bear the crest of Ala Alba. It took me a while to recognize it, but it looks like the symbol of the Megalomesembrian Army. It's a small ship, probably a transport ship for tools and supplies.

It landed near a relatively flat area and I boarded it. There are two people piloting the ship and they seemed like nice enough folks. Apparently they are on their way to Megalosembria where they are supposed to deliver their cargo. Luckily for me, they were running ahead of schedule so when they saw my flare they decided to help. I explained to them my position and they seemed to take it to stride. They asked me if there was any place in specific I wanted to go to. If it was on the way there, they said they could drop me off. I just told them to take me to Megalosembria with them and that I would find my way from there and they said it was ok with them. Thus, I'm on my way to Megalosembria.

「I'll do that first thing in the morn' once I'll wake up.」

「So it's the Megalomesembrian cargo ship eh. Nothing to fret then! Have a safe trip back to Megalomesembria, I heard that there's been a lot of sightings flying creatures that went berserk recently. But I'm sure there are well-trained knights on board the ship and I can say that you can take care of yourself adequately. I don't think they would pose a threat to you or the ship. In any case, if the ship were to be attacked, the government of Megalomesembria will surely send help.」

「On that, I shall head back to the inn and catch some Zs, good luck Zero e_e」

Megalosembria sure is a grand city at night. All the lights are powered by magic and even though there is a lot of light, you can still see the stars as clear as if there was no light. I wonder how they do it? The skyline is fantastic too. No matter how many times I look at the airships, their aquatic designs are incredible. There doesn't seem to be a lot of crime here. There are many guards stationed here and there that keep the peace. As much as I'd like to keep looking around, it's getting quite late so I should probably find an inn or a hotel and sleep. I should go see if there are any weapon shops around. My weapons are powerful but inconvenient. I feel as if I were carrying a missile to a gun fight. I should look for more conventional weapons. That will be tomorrow, though. Tonight, I finally sleep in an actual bed for the first time since I came to this world.

I... stumbled upon the man who rumbled with Thousand Master. He even uses 5 arrows of sand. Oh no oh no.

I'm actually running low on Drachma now. I see that there are some Wanted sings hanging around and the rewards look pretty good even if they just look like a bunch of kids, but I doubt I'll run into any one of those people any time soon. Still, I'll keep it in mind in case I ever see any of them.

No more than two minutes passed since I said that that I saw someone from the many wanted posters hanging around. He wasn't one of the ones with the large rewards on them. He was just a local ruffian that was disturbing the peace by robbing stores. Still, his reward money will do in getting me a good meal and maybe a trip out of the city. I promptly go after him.

「Eeeeh, don't hurt the kids in the wanted list e_e It's fabricated stuff to frame them e_e」

[I know. Whether I actually run into them or not, we'll see later. Besides, right now I'm just chasing some local thief not related to the kids.]

Man, this little guy sure is hard to keep up with. I wonder where he is going in such a hurry? If he keeps this up I wont be able to follow him without him noticing me.

What's this? He went into what looks like an abandoned house, but there were two people inside waiting for him. What's going on here? I'll get as close as I can and see if it's anything interesting.

"Now that Cliff is here, let's go over the plan once again. In exactly 30 minutes, Ralf and I will use a temporary petrification spell to petrify everybody within the Megalosembrian bank and steal as many Drachma as we can fill our bags with. Meanwhile, you Cliff will wait for us outside on our airship and you'd better be ready to use that teleportation spell to get us out of there as fast as we can or else the place will be swarming with Megalosembrian guards before we can make our escape with the loot. Got it, Cliff?"
"Got it, Chief"

Ah, a bank heist. If I act now, I could probably stop them, but should I? Hmm, I got 30 minutes to decide whether I should stop them or somehow use this for my own gain. What to do, what to do...

「While nothing much is happening over here in Ostia, walking around and the city is bustling like always. I have yet to find some of my friends here. I guess I'll just go relax at the inn and hopefully, have a fateful encounter? I wonder if I'll be able to find Gil in this vast city...」

I was going to wait until they completed the heist and then I was going to steal the money from them, but I'm too much of a good person for that.

After I heard what their plan was, I crawled over to their ship and planted a small explosive. Just as they were about to head towards the bank in the ship, I detonated the explosive and damaged the engines. The airship crashed down down nearby. I promptly made my way towards it and dragged out the injured bodies of the three thieves. Two were unconscious, but the one they called "Chief" was still moving around a bit. I knocked him out with a quick blow to the back of the head. Now I'll drag them over to the nearest guard post and collect my reward for all three of them.

Their airship wasn't too badly damaged, so I might just take it for myself since the three thieves probably wont be using it any time soon.

「Seems like you know how to control yourself when it comes to explosions :3」

「This is bad, I'm running low on Drachma, maybe I should bet on random arena fights? It's kinda risky and I'm too lazy to participate in any minor cups... Oh well, I guess I can just walk around town and ask around on how the bouts will play out and bet on the right fighter.」

「Putting on my robe, I head out to the bustling city of Ostia.」

[Explosives aren't hard to use as long as you are careful with them. I usually use small explosives in battle too.]

Those thugs brought in a pretty penny. I had a strange looking, but delicious meal with the reward Drachma. I also passed by a weapons shop and bought myself some new weapons that I can use anytime. The swords are pretty standard, but the guns are something else. Guns that don't need ammo, just magic power. Interesting. I also had that ship taken in to a repair shop to get it fixed and give it a new coat of paint. I like the shark-like appearance that it has, but I think a manta-shape would have been better. Can't complain since I got it for free, so to speak.

Now that I have a new ship, I think I will set out to a new city to explore. Not sure where, though. I guess I'll just go wherever the wind takes me from here, not that I need the wind to move.

「As I walked around town and found no valuable information that will guarantee me a hefty amount of Drachma through betting, I guess I shall call it a day and head back to the inn for today. On my way there, I saw a suspicious small entity, I couldn't tell from where I stand, but, tired from all the walking, I decided to ignore it.」

「It sure is hot outside, thank god the water here is free, else I won't be able to survive any more than 3 days with what I currently have... Meh, too much thinking, I'll just kick back and read the book that guy lent me.」

I've been moving west since I lifted off. Before coming here, I read a lot of books on mythical creatures so that I would have some way of describing what I see and keep calm knowing that I have some knowledge on my enemy. These however, don't look like anything in the books. They look like gigantic vultures that can use electrical attacks from what I've seen. They have a 50 foot wingspan and at the moment there are three of them flying over my ship. I'll call them Thunderbirds for now since the name seems to fit. They've been following me for the last 70 miles or so and I'm starting to worry because the more I look at them, the more I'm starting to suspect that they wont wait until I'm dead like Earth vultures do.

I have to arm the ship and fast. What was that spell that the guy who added armament to my ship said to say? The first word sounded like a tongue-twister. Damn, I wish I had written it down. Ah, that's right. "Quinquaginta Lanceas!" As, soon as I said it, a magic circle formed around my ship and what looks like a whaling harpoon gun appeared on the deck. It has a spear loaded and ready to fire with 49 others lined up and ready to automatically load themselves once the first one is fired. I hope I don't have to use it, but I wont hesitate if I have to. Until they decide to leave me alone or attack, this is going to be a long flight.

「A safe trip to you Zero~」

「As I read the book, the story gets intriguing and makes me want to try some stuff in it myself, but I'm quite tired and it's quite really late right now, attempting to try new stuff would just disturb everyone. I should take notes for later then.」

「As I walked towards the table at the other end of the room to put away my book, I thought about the tournament that will be held soon... Should I participate myself or not? I'd be able to test out some new skills... But then again, the level of the fighters there are too low for me to actually attempt anything. Well, not like I actually researched on who'll be in the cup. I guess I'll get around town and ask about the cup again and see if I should take part myself.」
