True, but not on my account. The derailment of this thread began when Jacob cited an article. The problem was that Jacob took liberties with the article and in my mind completely rewrote it. He had wasted about two pages or so(8-10) defending his nonsensical revision to the death.

I never revised history, or the present. A tldr version of this debate is that I believed we couldn't tolerate the threat anymore and had to do something significant about it.

As information had come out, IMO my position is only strengthened with weakening of diplomatic and economic ties between Russia and China with North Korea. As I said, a coalition with the three world powers is possible, provided we aim for a neutral and prosperous Korea and not one as a proxy state of either of the nations.

Whereas before we couldn't do anything, the world is being compelled to act the more NK refuses to be to quote Hillary Clinton: "A rational actor" in the world theater.

For Asia, for the world and for our american citizens who were threatened by this regime a few meager sanctions or just 'leaving it alone' would be extremely dangerous. Just as leaving Soviet alone allowed it to build massive arms with which the world did not foresee.

Stalin's 4 year plans butchered and murdered millions. This same position of "neutrality" had cost far too many lives and saved very few.

Whatever happens in this situation won't have a happy ending for a long time.

I know the exact reason this thread was moved to IB. Jacob started trolling your 'intelligence' [EL OH EL] and then Tegumi, or someone who isn't as delusional as you, moved the thread to a more suitable place. From this part of the post alone, you are already challenging your own stupidity. There are several ways to show proof of the conversation. Like posting screencaps of the messages. Anyone with google could easily look up the information on how to do that. Yet, while you insist that you have the intelligence to do so it is in fact the one thing you never thought of doing.

Secondly, this might surprise you but I'll inform you: Tegumi isn't important, at that none of the other moderators are(with the exception of Jacob) and even his 'importance' is relative: It's just a site, but one and I'm sure if Fakku were to go down in some freak accident we'd find some other site or something else to occupy the time.

Don't get me wrong, I respect Tegumi and the others as moderators and the job that they do. But I hold proper value, they're not public officials nor the people who run my life. Their job is to moderate the forum, no more or no less.

If you didn't click the link, the TLDR version refers to the rape case involving a teenage girl(who was stupid enough to drink late and leave herself vulnerable and a couple of dumb teenage males who were stupid enough to post the evidence on the interwebz)

The judge decided on the better part of leniency and went for a lesser sentence then if an adult had done the crime(Which was logical, given a court is a place of reason not lynching). The poster then proclaims that there's some "Rape Culture" that exists(or has existed for quite some time) on the account of the lesser sentence.

Considering that a sex offender is basically barred from contact with children, and restricted to areas that are mostly remote from society(such as Hospices and so forth), the sentence for a predator is in short living death.

Statistics surrounding violations have been inconsistent for the most part, and we could do better with incarcerations but there's a logical reason: With theft, murder or assault there's physical evidence connecting to the crime. With sexual assault, not so much. The stature of limitations, etc al.

It's a very difficult, thorny legal side on both the account of the accuser and the accused. Hey, here's to hoping the justice system gets better and we can better bring justice to criminals while making it so that it doesn't cause too much damage to those who end up being falsely accused.

I noted the North Korean threat, I suggested that it was and is a severe danger to the world community. If not now, but allowing that nation to be idle for another decade or even two decades will eliminate the capacity for bringing about change in the region.

I had used links to do so, our discussion varied and points were shared. I believe the conversation was a high level one for the most part.

Actually we do have evidence. If you have forgotten [which I pray on your 'high intelligence' that you didn't] your thread is now in IB. Which means someone higher than you thought it did not meet the requirements to stay in SD and the thread has yet to move back there. If that explanation went over your head it means that someone was questioning your 'intelligence', moved the thread to another board to let other people see what that mod saw in your posts which resulted in quite a few negative responses towards you and your thread.

It's not 'screen shooting', it's 'screen-capping'. A few may argue that 'screen-shooting' [note the '-'] may work, but it is generally one of the 'grey' words. It just sounds bad when you say it out loud.

Also it's not the only thing I was right on but eh, the general population of both SD and IB already know this so at this point it will be redundant to repeat it.

In your second point here, let's refer back to your 'eye of the beholder' comment earlier. I think you are onto something here. I totally get what you are saying right here. I would like to add that it's usually the dumb people that keep insisting that they are 'smarter and above' everyone else yet they are ready to sink down to the level of a group of posters in a heartbeat. They are completely oblivious to the fact that as the conversation goes on, more and more of their supposed 'high intellect' is just a ruse for hiding the already obvious. They claim that it isn't worth their time and that they are above it all, but once they start throwing insults to make themselves feel better they succumb into being the very thing they lied to everyone about not being.
