i love that picture, circe *^*
hihi sepi ~~
class is now in session.
galactic astronomy
is the study of our galaxy, the milky way, and everything in it. although much of it is obscured by regions of cosmic dust, it is still probably the best studied galaxy. there are a basic fifteen subcategories in galactic astronomy. i have listed them below, without descriptions or my thoughts.
what i would like is for anyone who knows, who is interested, or maybe just curious, to give me, in their own words, a basic description of at least one of these subcategories. i don't expect you to know off the top of your head, so unless you want to give me your best guess / initial thoughts, studying / google is allowed. XP but remember, it must be in your own words.
- abundances
- bulge
- center
- disk
- evolution
- formation
- fundamental parameters
- globular clusters
- halo
- kinematics and dynamics
- nucleus
- open clusters / associations
- solar neighbourhood
- stellar content
- structure

science was never forte... then again nothing is
description huh...
well in my own experience, in science class, whenever i got a bulge i'd fidget a bit to move in a way where no one could see the bulge. so my thoughts of it... try not to think of anything erotic in class >:l

I'm late, but here's my take.
Kinematics and Dynamics: Portmanteau of "kinetics" and "mathematics", I literally take as the maths and science involved in motion itself. Dynamics would be somewhere close to that, like the physics behind it.
The four equations of motion:
where,
s = displacement
u = initial velocity
v = final velocity
a = acceleration
a becomes negative if decelerating, and gets substituted with g = 9.8 m/s2 if gravity takes action.

give me your best guessI should probably explain that I was referring to what I know of kinematics, and however little I did, and in hindsight, I should have mentioned that I was mainly talking about simple ground kinematics.

Well, no worries art, it wasn't a big deal. at least you tried.
i actually wanted to post a digimon vid for the evolution part

Why the FUCK did you not post?! That would have been awesome! DX
Speaking of evolution...
