Thing is gonna be an MTV Patrol Car similar to US Military J8s but I'm fitting it with Warsaw Pact equipment and painting it a similar green to Soviet T-34s. Haven't decided on a name yet tho.

I was wondering if there're handguns/bullets that can penetrate armored vehicle' steel plates? No, of course not rocket launcher or such...

Firstly why are you hiding? It's not like the pup is going to harm you.
Secondly: Well there are rifles that are designed with superior armour penetrating abilities in mind. With proper ammunition you could make a hole into a side of some APCs but as things are now it is better to use something like an RPG or LAW.

You know, Azelle likes the shadows.
I wouldn't imagine there'd be any handgun calibers that could do a number on even light armored vehicles, there are specially designed AP rounds for some small calibers that are capable of penetrating kevlar plates but not full steel meant for vehicles.
Most likely would be something like the Thompson Contender G2 which is a very borderline handgun that uses rifle caliber cartridges.
HTI rifles are your best bet if you don't want something like a rocket launcher. My favourite would be the Desert Tactical HTI rifle which is the bigger brother of their Desert Tactical SRS, a bullpup, multicalibre, bolt action rifle. Lightweight and quick to set up, its a rifle that's on my armory bucket list.

@Lancey: Dogs are not that much of problem... Though I still prefer to avoid them.
@Val: I see. I'd prefer handgun if possible, though. Nice gun there.
Hmm... then, is there any handgun that can be modified to shoot a mini-rocket or mini-grenade?

Hmm. . . There is the 13mm Gyrojet Pistol of an American series of micro rocket launching firearms developed in the 1960s. They have very light recoil and don't require much engineering in terms of reinforcement so they're also lightweight compared to conventional pistols.
Normally, they don't pack that much of a punch, at least not enough to take out armored vehicles. I can see if we'll be able to make any improvements on that but right now I'm working on the Jeep.

Sounds like a plan. For the name, how about "Pfeil"?
Also mfw you mention Gyrojets. Those things are as rare as they get within the civvie market.
Speaking of them, how would y'all pronounce it? Because it gets 'gyro' in its name from "gyroscopic", you'd imagine it'd be pronounce Jai-row-jet. Personally I don't like that, I pronounce it Gai-row-jet.

*scurries to the main room*

Pfeil? Why German name. Though Arrow is apt for this, wouldn't Strelka be more appropriate?
And yeah, I also pronounce it Gai-row-jet.

Damn night ops cat.
Well there's already a Strelka AAA vehicle so I figured we wanted to avoid confusion.
Well with Gyrojets, they did minimize the explosive yield of their rockets so that it could go into civilian market but that still didn't stop the Gov from putting a stop to them later on. So yeah, I imagine with today's technology, you could make it more lethal than it already was.
