With new year picture posted, I have some suggestions you guys want to consider:
BiBi, do you want some bamboos to burn? There is also Teruyo for your entertainment.
Fuwaruu, Sky's the Limit.
Zafira, there is a band of rabbits waiting for your participation.
Haruruu, do you want to join the band? Alternatively, you could try buying a shady medicine from our local doctor.

After seeing the size of these pictures, how big are our drawings supposed to be? I can fill a piece of paper but it looks like everything is going to be scaled down and photoshopped into the main drawing.

Make it as big as you can to adjust your drawing with the background. Unlike the case in which you need to use photoshop to enlarge your drawing in order to make it fit with the background, there is no quality to be sacrificed if your picture is scaled down.

Sure there is. Imagine taking a life size picture of the Mona Lisa, and then scale it down to about 300px width (with the height being whatever it ends up being). There's a lot of great detail that gets sacrificed, if you ask me.

Both backgrounds are the size of an A4, so you can estimate how big your submission should be. Drawing it a little bigger is nice, it would give Haru room for adjustments.

I have confidence no one will manage to beat my artistic license and prowess in the matters of art.

I would wager money that at least 30% of Touhou waifu claims are by people who have never played the games.
