Waifu Game Poll #2 ------- 2 or 3 Waifu at reclaim.
How mahy waifu should users be able to keep for the next reset?
Voting for this poll has ended.

Well most of the post was arguing about how you wanted to keep 5... I mean, I can understand you voted for 3 because it was the best option but it doesn't change the fact that your entire post seems to indicate that you don't want any reset at all. Also do you really believe it doesn't hurt your opinion when someone who supports you or your words also insults the person running the game?
if you were to go to congress and fight against gay marriage with a great speech that was almost perfect in every way; and the next congressman would stand up behind you and say "I support everything he said; fuck the gays, jews and blacks" it would affect the validity of your point?
k back from work, thou its around 5am, I am not that tired so....
Well I still must always mention how I love all my waifus deeply, well it seemed to you that I wanted to prevent this reset, but if I wanted that I would have posted this earlier if I knew it could prevent it. Whats done is done, you eventually somewhat see what I was getting at, perhaps if I had posted this in the first poll thread, thou, same misunderstands would have been made, yet I didn't because the poll results were favoring 3 and I believed that they would continue favoring 3 in this thread, unfortunately, they did not.
It shouldn't have any large effect unless you yourself take it that way am I not right? Are you offended in any way by his words or him supporting my words?

How should it hurt my point if someone who agrees with me, makes an attack on you by expressing any failure you might have? Any difference you two have shouldn't interfere with this.
I am not trying to split hairs here, but your last comment involving Congress etc. is invalid and I will not answer due to the fact that this appears to be something between just you and Yoro, this has nothing to do with groups of people etc.
It hurts my point because someone who insults you (apparently) or you find something objectionable about, supports what I said? Not to sound rude here, but that seems a little childish. (what would the technical term be...isn't this an Ad hominem)
Thou I will admit that I can be very childish at times, but that is what I felt when you said that, I am sorry if that offended you.

Well you know spalose, it's not that the reset could only bring nothing but unhappiness and heartache to those like you, and me who genuinely "love" their waifus.
First, you see, I've already divorced a couple of times so you could say that I didn't love the ones whom I decided to let go, not as much as you love all of yours. To some extent, perhaps you're right, but you can never deny the fact, the reason of which I gave up on them was not because I just one day realized that I didn't actually love them. To simply put it, I love them it's just that I had found some-other else to love more. Some-other else whom I never could have possibly met in an earlier time back when the game was just about learning how to stand on its feet.
Having said that, could you ever fault me if my foresight isn't as great as of those who have stuck with their original picks after all this time, truly contented? It's human nature I guess. There's no such thing as a definite feeling of "satisfaction" any of us could ever attain in our very own limited and insignificant lives/existence. It's an endless struggle and waifus aren't just about to be excluded from that. And through the use of a "numbered-reset" we could eliminate the hardships of having to free up some slots through such a menacing procedure called divorce.
To sum up everything that I’ve said, I’m voting for a much lesser number even though 3 is my goddamn personal favorite. For all the reset is worth, it’s time to re-evaluate your LOVE for these fictional characters people. Simply determine which character(s) matters most to you and live with that choice! You’ll eventually feel better the day after tomorrow or the day after the next maybe and so on... it’s bound to happen.
PS: Take it as you may but I'd be crystal that I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing with what you guys may have already pointed out. I rarely share my opinions nowadays anyway so I figure, why not throw some garbage out there? It sure as hell wouldn't hurt anyone's fair chances. - From the looks of it, I'll get to keep REVY and URD, YAY! :D

I do understand that you want the chance to let go some of your waifus and pick new ones. Nothing against that. But as you said yourself, there are those of us who have stuck with their original picks. Why force us to give up our beloved waifus as well? After all, the number of waifus you can keep does not mean the number of waifus you have to keep. Even if we could keep all five (I know, not going to happen), you could still let go of those you for some reason don't want anymore. No reason to force a lesser number on us as well.

is this a serious point? my analogy was completely valid whether it attacks a group of people or an idea... It's not that you offended me, it's just that your side loses validity when someone who supports you says something insulting. It's always easy to argue a point on your own because you don't have to worry about the actions of others undermining your points. Don't get me wrong, it's not something you can fix, or something you can control, but nevertheless is does make your point seem less valid. My personal history has nothing to do with this.

I've explained the rational behind it several times... I will no longer accept a debate over keeping 5; it will not happen. Please don't make me repeat myself again, i'm getting tired of it.
EDIT: If you don't like the way the game is run please feel free to run your own version yourselves, with whatever rules you want. There is another version of the game being played on the myanimelist fakku user group which is run by prowl; I think he even mentioned never having resets.

Waar made the game, he holds the rights, he makes the rules, and so on. He calls the shots, not me, not you, not anyone else for that matter and so to honestly answer your question, I do not know. I'm sure he must have repeatedly mentioned what's up with the reset countless of times already for me to add something that's relatively new to it. But if you really wanna know my personal opinion as to why everyone, including the faithful lot of you, needs or is forced (as you'd prefer to call it) to lose a number of your dearly revered waifus, my answer would be simply for having due fairness and equality. The reset is also for giving the so-called late-bloomers a shot/chance on claiming some of the rather coveted/popular characters, if I do recall correctly... amirite?

My point wasn't to debate keeping 5 or any of your decisions. It was the fact that hermitVI stated preferring 3 himself but voting for a lesser number. As he pointed out, he recognized the existence of those who "love" their waifus, but also wanted the chance to let go of some of his without having to divorce. He could perfectly well keep only two waifus even when the maximum number of reclaims is three, so there was no actual reason in his post for voting 2 and forcing us to give up on more of ours as well. No offense to you meant at all.

then you people need to rethink the way you word your posts, the last few have been nothing but "i wanna keep my 5, why do I have to be forced" whine and similar nonsense... I'm fairly tired right now so pardon me for being short with you but your arguments aren't properly worded if you are in support of 3.
hermit, that is part of it yes, also to reinvigorate the game for its active competitors... Let's be honest, if we never had to repick new girls this would be fairly boring for everyone. I'm willing to give up my allstar team of girls I LOVE and I'm not even going to go for an allstar team of girls this time... I had planned to go for lesser known girls which I recently fell in love with. Everyone should have a bit more challenge in a game... There are no cheat codes in the waifu game.

Three or two no longer matters. This is no longer a question of what's good for the game but as I see it, it's already a question of interest. Those who love their waifus would go for the larger number otherwise of course they go for the lower number. Of course this is understandable as I too have voted for my own interests.

@luinthoron: Was there anything from my previous post which indicates something about it not being "my personal" choice? - I think this actually would be a much better answer than the one I just made up in me saying that "hell, as if I give a crap about how serious this waifu business really is for you guys." Yeah, I'd like to believe that this is my most honest opinion on everything that's ever related to this game.
@Waar: I have been meaning to suggest that those users who wanna keep all 5 of their waifus, as is, be spared in turn that they'd never be allowed to divorce, not once, not ever, meaning to say that they wouldn't get much of a chance on claiming new ones; until the next time the game resets (that is if there will ever be a next time). But guess what? That's all in the past. I have my own priorities in playing this game and I really couldn't care less about anyone else's. I sure am looking forward to an enjoyable reset in two weeks time; hopefully, I can be there. :)
I know this is much too early but to all those planning to participate, goodluck! May the earliest worm catches the bird. :D

Well between those two options I'd rather it be three just so I don't have to mess with getting my waifus over again.

I wasn't sure where to ask this so I'll ask it here. Is there going to be some sort of time limit before people who are keeping waifus get to join in the game? I would find it somewhat unfair if there isn't because for most of these people the first thing they're going to do is attempt to re-claim their 3rd or 4th favorite and knowing some of these people they'd do it within the first minute of the game if possible. I'd suggest that those who get to keep waifus should not be allowed to play in round one or for at least a couple days or something like that so that people have a real chance to claim waifus that people decided to risk losing.Doubt it. Keeping 2 (most likely) is already a big 'sacrifice' for prior participants and we aren't doing it solely for the sake of new players but also for our own excitement. Many of the notable claims will be made within the first few hours of round one and by excluding us from it you'd be depriving us of most of the fun. Besides we're on equal ground when round one starts and all you need to do is post faster.
@Arbitor: The game will most likely have rounds again and until the final (5 most likely) round starts no one will be able to claim more than one per round (the ones you reclaimed from the previous game do not count) up to a maximum of 5. The rounds usually last around 1-2 weeks each. I also doubt many people will reclaim less than 2(3) of their current waifus so all this would be implementing is a giant gift for new participants.
All in all this is not for me to decide though.
Das pretty much summed it up ramsus.

Good, looks like 2 waifus will be kept only. This will help make the game much more fun and provide a lot more waifus for newer players to be able to claim.
I do feel bad for those who love their waifus and will have to give some up, but it gives a chance for them to find new loves and for others to prove their love for those waifus.
Now to wait eagerly for the reset...
