to clarify, reclaim week start on the 31st, most likely round will 1 begin around the 8th or 9th.What will I do? Haven't really considered. Should I "punish" those that don't bother to read or would that be insensitive?(not the best judge of sensitivity).
Read the reasons why they did it so early. If you don't find their excuse acceptable, just ignore, and either they'll be smart and post in the reclaim thread when its up, or they miss their chance because they didn't read.

I have only been gone for around 2 weeks and so much has happened, even in the waifu game.
After reading through most of the replies, I will attempt to give my impartial 2 cents worth of opinions. There are definitely some members who are hardcore otakus (perhaps I could be considered one of them?) and their love for their waifus is beyond what others can understand. On the other hand, Waar has to perform a reset in order to revitalize the game. Both parties have equally valid points to support their argument. In that case, what shall we do?
If I may, could I use the following analogy to describe the reset? Let us say there is a country with declining birth rates or marriages. The government decides to take drastic measures by having all couples to be separated, in hope to solve the problem. Some people are determined to stay with their significant other, while others are looking forward to the change.
Maybe the above scenario isn't very apt, but may I suggest that the users who are determined to keep their waifus be allowed to do so? Neither am I implying that those who agree to the reset do not love their waifus as much; perhaps you wish to see the game revitalized too or want a fresh start. Idealistic? I would think so too, but that is just me, the Gambler all of you know.

no, and I told others who kept pushing keeping all 5 to stop bringing it up. I'm not going to change my mind on this; a reset will happen.

At least I tried. At the end of the day, you are the creator of the game and should be allowed to call the shots. However, I am also obliged to try and keep the majority of the community happy.
Perhaps I am overly worried, but I definitely do not want the waifu game to cause a rift among regular members, much less resulting in their inactivity. In my opinion, the interests of the Fakku community will always be top priority.

I'd prefer being able to reclaim 3 waifu.
Even though 2 would give others the possibility to get a certain girl they're after I still think that people who really love their waifu should at least be able to keep more than half of their current waifu.

If you really love your waifu, You'll be online at midnight on the first round claiming who you didn't get to keep. I know I will

and a recent poll shows a vast majority of users would prefer some sort of forced reset over keeping 5. I believe the best interest of this community is served by considering what the majority want. In this case gambler; you are in the minority.

I guess you took it the wrong way. I brought up my point not for myself, but for other members who may be unhappy with the reset (as seen in a couple of posts). To tell the truth, I am fine with things going either way. In addition, I doubt I have the time to participate in said game intensively due to my real-life work commitments, even more so with Christmas looming.
All members should also realize that this is simply a game. If one is going to call certain characters their waifus or husbandus regardless of the result, I don't think anyone else has the right to stop him or her either. :)

Don't pretend you wouldn't call bs on someone saying one of your claimed girls is his waifu... be fair and accept that someone else may have your loved one and play this game like a grown up.

It is unfortunate that you see me in the above way. Perhaps you are right; I could be jealous if someone claimed mai waifus before I did, but that isn't going to stop me from loving them as much as I do now.
I guess I have to see how things turn out during the reclaim period. If all else fails, I am quite sure you will perform another reset in due time.

I think we've had enough resets for awhile. Don't wanna see another reset in at least another half year.

don't you have like 11 girls on your list? Can't you simply pick up one of your lesser loves if someone takes one of your main squeezes?

It's about the emotions invested in them during the "game" until now.
