Chrome Versus Firefox?
Which is better chrome or firefox?

Firefox all the way. I tried Chrome on my new comp, and i was really about to use it. But it's definitely not fit when you're opening lot of tabs. You're unable to see clearly, and it's quite ridiculous to add a new process in memory for each new tab created.

I'm not particularly partial to any browser. They all have their strong points, and their not-so-strong points. I think the only browser everyone can agree on is Internet Explorer and that it is universally horrible.
I use Firefox ninety percent of the time. Chrome is good and all, but the security issues are always in the back of my mind, and especially now with Google acting the way they are. SRWare Iron is built of the Chromium engine and doesn't have any of the alleged security issues so really there is no reason to use Chrome over SRWare.

Because speed is the only thing that has any value when it comes to browsers.
On second thought, I'm with Tegs, NoScript is a pretty good reason to stay with Firefox.

It allows JavaScript, Java and other executable content to run only from trusted domains of your choice, e.g. your home-banking web site, guarding your "trust boundaries" against cross-site scripting attacks (XSS) and Clickjacking attempts, thanks to its unique ClearClick technology.

Basically, it blocks nearly everything unless you whitelist it.

Chrome for me. Like what was said, Firefox crashes a lot. And it's trouble some when you try to open firefox and it says you can't because firefox is already running even though I can't see it in my windows. That's because the Firefox process is running, you could go shut it down and then open Firefox.
Firefox has not crashed on me. Indeed i have few times, very rarely thou had to go shut that process off when it cannot open, but usually it gets shutdown itself and when clicked the shortcut button 2nd time it'll open.
Chrome lacks features, no speed boost for me = useless for me.
Thank you.

As for speed ..
i think Chrome > Firefox ..

chrome is faster but totally barebones. its also strangely missing a few capability i notice in certain websites, like insert link pop-ups that don't show up.
firefox on the other hand is noticably slower but not enough to really be a problem. on the plus side, it has more features like the google/wikipedia search bar. is easier to navigate and use said features. and i find no problems in any situation like the aforementioned chome problem, everything is supported just fine.
so firefox wins for me.

Yeah that whole opening process but not a window shit gets real old with Firefox, and it happens constantly if you're using Live Messenger. The start time is also ridiculous. On a cold start on my laptop it can take like 20 seconds.. Fortunately I think both of these are being fixed with the release of Firefox 4..

firefox user here, have yet to give chrome a try, but since people claim its faster than firefox maybe i will try it out someday, although i dont think im gonna switch over any time soon since the lack of add ons for it.

Also for Firefox, there are a few Firefox derivatives, i.e. most notably the Pale Moon Project. Unlike the original Firefox, the Pale Moon project seeks to compete with Chrome in speed, and have the same plugin compatibility with the original Firefox. I don't know how it compares, but it should be better than the original Firefox.
Trying it out right now.
I'm pleasantly surprised, it's faster than Firefox and supports all add-ons I like, like NoScript or Adblock. Time will tell if the switch is advantageous, but right now I can't really see anything wrong with this.
PaleMoon is still a resource hog though, but I can deal with that.

That Pale Moon does look pretty cool. My problem is that I'm running Windows 7 on only 2 gigs of RAM so if it is a resource hog then thats going to be a problem. Then again Firefox is using 70mb just to type this post so it probably won't matter much.
edit: Editing my post right now is using just under 55mb to do so with Pale Moon. All my addons and extensions appear to be fine. Now to run some tests =)

Firefox.
I tried Chrome for a while (like a month ago), while IT IS faster, it still lacks a few add-ons that I use on firefox.

Been using Pale Moon for some days now and I'm fully convinced. This is a really good browser and better than Firefox in my opinion. As far as I know, Personas don't work with Pale Moon, but I never use them anyway, so...

Hmm yeah, it does work. Strange, last time I tried, nothing happened when I switched Personas.

Firefox > Opera > Chrome
Why Firefox?
A. Customization
B. Better XP theme support
C. The difference between Chrome's speed to Firefox's speed is > 4ms right now, the only reason it looks faster is because of the way Google Chrome renders pages. I can wait an extra 4ms for everything that I get with Firefox.
D. Ad-Block Plus, NoScript.
E. Better interoperability with windows applications.
For those of you who think Firefox is complicated, learn how to use a computer properly.
As for you Google haters, I don't know if you've heard their slogan "Don't be evil.", but they're not a syndicate, it's simply a company that was put together to collect all of the information in the world. Treating them like Microshaft is not cool.
They gave us Android. 'Nuff said.
I will +rep you for the Pale Moon browser link when I can, this is pretty awesome.
@Nashrakh - Best XP OS mod ever, so goddamn fast and minimalistic.
