I can't find any links (apart from the Westboro above) but some people did make some comments about "not allowing God in the schools meant the children weren't protected" or some bullshit like that.

These shootings have been happening for years now - something has simply got to change within the law/constitution.

I actually drove by the exit for Newtown on the same day. They had the exit closed and everything. Saw a lot of state troopers flying down the highway too. People are really fucked up.

its the second worst elementary school killing ever :( i hate people like that, i saw on the news today that his mother had brought him to lessons about how to handle guns and use them and was "proud of her sons ability to use guns effectively"

I'm glad the news so far has been being adamant in enforcing that aspergers is not associated with violence. people like this make it hard for people with less severe variants of it. I had a bunch of friends who had it in high school and none of them were violent or as much antisocial as they've made him out to be.

EDIT- the worst was the bath township massacre in 1927 where a rich farmer guy was having a bad time with the school district making taxes he blamed for foreclosure and burned his farm down, then while the firefighters were attending to his farm he detonated about 200 pounds of military grade explosives from world war 1 that he had placed around the school, this killed 38 grade school children and 2 teachers, after which he drove around to the school entrance and found the superintendent, called him over to his car, and shot a rifle into the back seat, exploding dynamite inside it and killing himself, the superintendent, another adult, and another child who was walking away from the building.

Fucked up. I read about the news a day after it happened and was feeling disgusted by that man. Seriously, I don't know why America is not banning firearms. I mean it's one of the causes in the first place that they could carry firearms. While people can still kill using other tools but firearms make is WAAAAYYY easier.

Even though Newtown was a terrible tragedy, it will not be the last. And just because one fucktard went insane means I cannot own a weapon? Fuck that. Stop trying to ban weapons and actually know who the person is and what mental state they are in before they are even allowed a license.

Even if guns are banned, there will always be the Black Market. If guns were banned I would predict even more violence although not in massacres, but in the form of crimes and gangs.

The same reason why Sweden has yet to ban fire arms. America was founded on the protection of civil liberties and a lot of people believe that it is their right to own guns. The constitution will only change if there is a flaw that goes against the ideology of civil liberties. In America a lot of citizens live off the land by hunting and if you take away guns you are taking away their means for a living or their way of life. Also in some areas for example rural Oregon there is not a large police force and in rare cases(currently happening in a part of Oregon) there is no police force to protect the citizens and enforce the laws so citizens have to protect themselves. Even if you do ban guns it's not hard to obtain a weapon for example the war on drugs and the prohibition of alcohol.

20 Kids got shot & killed by guns just makes me wanna throw up my lunch. It's just plain sick right? I mean remember what happen in April 19 1999 of the Columbine High School Shooting in Denver,Co.? 2 17-year-olds with armed guns & rifles killing every teen in sight then suddenly the 2 of then commit suicide because they're not very good at 1st person shooter games and now many people including 20 children are killed on Friday Dec.14 which is too sad to hear all this. Obama should do something about gun laws in america like banning the use to buy guns or something.

Nope, that's mostly a philosophy of the South. There might be some statewide supporters here and there, but the whole gun love thing is mostly restricted to the South.

Michigan has a fairly strong gun culture. In New Hampshire congressmen carry on the house floor. Pennsylvania has pretty liberal gun laws too. Most states in this country are 'shall issue' for concealed carry permits.

Guns are not just for the south and the wild west. <_

Last year in China, some crazy guy rushed into a crowded bus, doused everyone with gasoline and set himself on fire killing everyone in the bus (34 people). We don't see gasoline being banned.

The thing a lot of people react irrationally to crisis such as this.

Some people are simply fucked up in the head and does not use their brain properly.
