The way I see it, Mandrake is a smaller version of a bigger online retailer like a Wal-Mart or a Best Buy, but only in the sense that you can see what items particular stores may/may not have in stock. I guess the main thing to keep in mind when shopping online with Mandrake is that you are ordering directly from their stores - like an ePortal to each of their stores. Essentially, they only have an in-store stock list displayed and no online stock...if that makes any sense. Everything they have online can pretty much be snatched up by a customer who walks into their store.
Hell, if anything, this is a huge luxury for customers who don't live near any of their stores or cannot make it to the store to pick up an item. :)
And, yeah I wish they had a better method of listing items, but it's just like calling into a store, asking for a product, and hoping that it's still there by the time you get to the store. ;)

I don't really think anything on the shipping thing with Mandarake. While paying more for something always sucks, it's not really fair to say that we're doing so, in this case. The way I look at it is Mandarake is a collection of independent shops spread across Japan; the website is more or less just gathering all the information in one place as a service to their users. I've run into the problem of items selling out before they can add it to the English page myself... so many problems would be solved if they just sold everything on the English site. D:
Actually, it would be fine if they would allow you to carry out transactions in their Japanese website as well.

That would work too, though they obviously went through the trouble to set up sites for other languages, so I'd guess the listing on all sites would be the easier option at this point. I'm not sure on the technical details, but I'd imagine that since they just use the same product images and such, that they'd just have to hit a flag or something that lists it on other sites. That could be a completely ignorant and blatantly wrong statement for all I know, but it seems like the most logical way to go about setting it up. Versus them having to change their site layout around to accommodate foreigners using forms that are obviously only meant for use within Japan.
Either way, I'd just love it if we had an equal chance to get all the goodies our Japanese brethren do, without the extra hassle/chance of missing out on an item because a proxy/Mandarake doesn't reply fast enough.

No matter how they have it set up, it should be possible to add that kind of functionality without too much difficulty (if it's not already there - which it appears not going by their behaviour so far).
Also currently, you can add items from the japanese website and they'll appear in your english site cart. Though trying to actually order them gives errors as the product ids from the japanese site don't match any english products or something.
Web order release for Clochette's latest cover to open on May 18th btw.

Yeah, and you actually can check out with items from the Japanese site in your cart, if they're also listed on the English site. So that's why I imagine it's just a flag or something that they have to hit that allows them to be listed on the English site, too.
Actually somewhat interested in the Clochette cover myself this time around. Don't really care for how short her hair is, or her face (I think it's something with the eyes), but I'm still strangely drawn to it. And I really like both of the finished Evening Call covers.
vietxmikey: No worries, man. I hope you enjoy! ^^

I actually just got a reply from Clesta (in english!) when I asked if there's be a web order for his comic one cover, reply was: "I am very sorry. It can purchase only in Japan event comic1. thx" So I guess no point holding out hope for a web order (if anyone still was :p).
Evening Call's Karuta's hair is a lot lighter than I expected, slightly too light (though it may end up darker on the actual cover), but I still like and shall get most likely. Sankarea looks fairly good too, though on the zombie side (red eyes) she's lacking the stitched up cut in her belly.

Oh nice, did you email them or what? At least we all got ours before they sold out. ^^
The hair is usually lighter than I'd like it (not that I know the character), but the twintails and her cute expression does it for me. Again, I know nothing about Sankarea, so from my perspective I think I'd much rather have the cut on her belly missing. ^^

Yeah I probably would prefer no cut since I'm not really into "that", yet without it there my brain screams that something is wrong lol :P
Yeah I sent him a mail (in english) shortly after Comic1, so he was a bit slow to reply but that he did at all and in english is just awesome really.

Haha, that's understandable I guess. It's kinda similar to the Evening Call BRS cover; I remember when Tier did a review ages ago, someone posted saying they had a bootleg version and that it was pretty similar but was missing the scar.
It's definitely awesome, even if this reply wasn't what you were hoping for. I'd say that Twitter has been the greatest tool, at least for me personally, since I've been using it. I still want to contact a few artists, but it's definitely awesome to see the level of response I've gotten from those that I have mentioned.

If anything, if her entrails were hanging out as usual, it would freak everybody out.
Though that would be true to it's original in a way.

A small portion of my items just came in today.
Was hard trying fit everything on the shot at once.

The Clesta goodies, the bag's other side is simply the word Clesta on it.

The bathroom poster that came with it

Mugenkidou Set, sadly my 2nd set arrived the day at their warehouse when this parcel shipped.>_>

Clochette Set
Ero makura pen, the pen has a pair of slip covers for the body of the pen which yu might have guess is both sides of the dakimakura.

Other side of the bag.

Koi Kishi covers, This is pretty cool, a cover's bonus is another cover which is made of smooth knit. The one from mandarake unfortunately turned out to be smooth knit and had no bonus.>_<

Remaining stuff from Mandarake.

Crappy cover shots will appear after I finish unpacking all this stuff.

Cool batch of stuff. Sucks that Mandarake didn't include the bonus cover, but that's definitely a really cool bonus otherwise. The bath poster is a bit bigger than I thought it was going to be, which is definitely pleasing. ^^ Will be nice to see some actual shots of the Clesta cover before I receive it myself either later this month/early next month.

Wow Zengar, that batch is too awesome! The bath poster is so freaking hot! I can't really see it, but in the Clesta set, is that cl-orz 07? Or is it something else? Can't really see the text on top of because of the orange font. I'm so jealous! >.

My lousy shots of the covers.
WOOT!

Reality is harsh.>_>

Boobies!!

Wish she was bigger, but she's cute.

The freebie, wasn't exactly what I thought it was, lol.

Mugen Kidou

And finally...
Her boobs are so humongous that my standard shot can't even capture her breasts completely.>_>
It's fantastic though.

Hm, that's weird. Apparently, cl-orz 7 is the Dream C Club hentai doujin. Oh well, don't wanna get into too much details since it is a hentai doujin. Though, I'm going to hunt for that Papakiki one.
That Clochette cover is mouth-watering... And I'm so looking forward to that Raika cover!

My bad, it's CL-EV 07.
Oh it would be nice if someone could keep a lookout for this blond knight for me. To be released this month.

Darn Zengar beat me to it, awesome loot man :), but here's my pics of Tomose Shunsaku's cover too ^^. I ordered that blonde Purely Kiss girl so I'll have some pics of her in June I guess, I'll keep a look out for it too. Yeah the freebies are smooth knit pillow cases with those covers, a whole extra cover would probably hurt their profits too much.

Damn, that's a really fine looking cover. Though it is an absolute shame she's mostly smooth censored. They tried to hide it a bit with fluids on the backside, but it's not enough. D: Even so, I'd probably like the art enough otherwise to counteract my extreme dislike for censoring.
