I've seen Shaolin monks do one-fingered handstands and repel two bulls pulling in the opposite direction. I dunno about you, but Shaolin monks have a lot of power in their own right.Oh yes while I’ve heard those stories too and believe they have some truth. But this shows about science so they’re going to be normal humans probably have some crazy skills but there still humans so no unbelievable super abilities.

Dam that was a great episode I loved it. Both of these guys are totally hardcore. I really didn't want this too end. I say there both great and there’s no debate that this episode was a great one.
But in the end I guess the Shaolin Monk wins
Oh and did anyone else notice that these guys were much more civil then everyone else?
LOVED this episode there both sweet.
The computers Chinese!

that was the first fight where a single weapon not only decided an outcome, it wont the simulation outright. those hooked weapons were deadly man, 556 wins with them alone. this episode proved that just because the technique and weapons were made for nonlethal blows and incapacitation, it doesnt mean they can exert the force necessary to kill. very awesome fight, the mauri brought weapons to the table i could have never expected. that jade hammer was something else!

I thought the sharktooth blade weapon the Maori's used as a special weapon was kind of dumb for the fact that it's extremely short range and the teeth chip reaaal easy. The jade club I agree was something else indeed.

What you saw your self 566 out of 692 how’s that not one weapon totally dominating. The next closes one had 57?

Lol. I enjoy this show a lot. Didn't know we had a topic. I think next week will be interesting. William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu.
I expect Wallace to win because of the use of Steel. They've already shown... Greater Technology will almost always win.

I win again. Kinda obvious that monks would win, but just for T.V. they acted like the Maori would actually win.

They gave the edge to the Maori's way too much. The only weapon that bested the others was the dragon hooks. I dunno, I thought the staff was a much more versatile weapon than the Maori staff.

Goddammit! I totally forgot to watch the new episode. Oh well, I'll catch the re-run. And it looks like I was right so that puts my record at 5-2. Ho yeah!

What you have to consider is the lethality of the weapon and the staff isn't meant to be a killing weapon so it was at a disadvantage at the start.

I've done some keiko with a staff and spear back at home with my own crafted weapons, and a staff, no matter how dangerous a spear/halberd is, has more versatility and range of motions compared to a spear/halberd.

My question is why they bothered to do tests with the chakrams if they weren't going to use them.
Also, next week might be the start of a new trend. Good or bad news?

The reason is because staffs are not designed to kill sure he could have hit him with the staff but I think your underestimating the difficultly of disarming someone whose trained in combat. The staff has to disarm him but all the a spear point has to do is stab him and guy dead. Not to mention that the other end had a focused point so if it hit it dealt more damage to the point then if the staff hit him. It’s the Spartan Ninja problem. The Staff can hurt the enemy but the Taiaha can kill its enemy.

Granted, it's the same spartan ninja problem, but I'd rather take you on with a taiaha than a staff. Now if it was the naginata, then that's a different story because a naginata is so much more dangerous than a taiaha due to its steel blade and long reach as long as a Shaolin staff.

Pulling out a weapon that wasn't used in the show doesn't help your little conversation. Let's remember the ass rape though:
Twin Hooks: 566 kills

Actually, the naginata was used in the Samurai vs. Viking episode. Another classic example of brains over brawn. Admittedly, those twin hooks were fucking awesome weapons. To quote one of the guys, "Honestly, they scare the *bleep* out of me."

Tch, that's one of the two that I missed. Heard Samurai raped. It did, by over 200 kills. It's also up on SpikeTV.com as a rerun, so you can watch it now. That's what I did, since I came into the Yakuza vs. Mafia and missed 3-5 episodes.

There's a marathon of DW on spike right now and it's the Monk ep again and the fucker for the maori side said, "when they stick out their tongues, it signifies that they're going to eat you." That sounded pretty dumb to me, so I made up a better one. When in battle, I take out my dick; It signifies that you will blow me.(or rape you, whichever one's better)
