Tch, that's one of the two that I missed. Heard Samurai raped. It did, by over 200 kills. It's also up on SpikeTV.com as a rerun, so you can watch it now. That's what I did, since I came into the Yakuza vs. Mafia and missed 3-5 episodes.
Not true the score was 522 to 478 Samurai so it was a close match. I watched the first episode by accident it was on the TV when I walked in the room and I was hooked in the first 10 min.

As for the next matchup, William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu - who do you think will win? I mean, pure technological standpoint, WW has the edge with his steel/iron weapons, but I think Shaka Zulu has a lot more advantage in speed. I'm leaning towards WW only because he has a tech advantage, but I can still see how Shaka Zulu can win using speed and unconventional battle tactics. I guess I won't make my mind up until I actually watch the episode.

I'll wait till the last moment to decide. I don't know shit about them. The Irish dude has liquor on his side.

Im amazed they havent done the epic episode that everyone is truely waited for:
"Ninjas vs. Pirates"
One thing I have noticed with this show is that there are some constraints to measureing the warriors. For one, like the show says in so many words, "Who will win in a standup one on one fight?"
This statement alone throws out a lot of the variablilty of the warriors. Spartans were at their apex in a battle formation, just as ninjas were pretty much screwed if they fought when detected. Case and point being that Ninja egg is most effective when you run the hell away, wait for nightfall, then kill the guy in his sleep.
My point is, the show cannot account for every possible variation or extension to a contest.
Im having misgivings about the new trend of this show stacking individuals against each other. William Wallace and Shaka Zulu were commanders of armies. Yes, they were warriors, but much of their respective "legends" or history was about their commands.
Maybe the show realizes there are only so many civilizations that have been around and so they are trying to lengthen it.

I can't believe so many people don't know these people tons of my friends say they don't know who they are either. Ugh I feel like that guy at a party that knows way too much about history.
Oh and I'm going to go with William because he’s got better equipment. Shaka's got some good tools and amazing battle tactics but he just can't beat Williams better equipment.

Chances are, 90% of the people who do know William Wallace only know about him because of Braveheart.
Anyways, what sorts of match-ups could they have to create 65 episodes? I'm not doubting you; I just don't know much about warrior clans or whatever.

The Roman legionaries, I'd love to see some more Chinese warriors maybe form the Han Dynasty or the Three Kingdoms period would be great. I know that it’s against the shows they never met in history but I’d love to see the U.S vs. the Nazis WW2 era. I’d also like to see someone from the age of imperialism fight (not pirates). I think Aztec warriors would be a great addition. Maybe like Russians vs. U.S again but set in WW1 (oh or WW2). Oh I’d love to see a crusades battle that would be a great show. I’ll stop there most of mine are people who have met but I still think that they would be great episodes.

Well Shaka had me questioning William from his first weapon. In the end I wasn’t surprised that William won in the end.
Good episode!
Good episode!

Not surprised after seeing that Claymore. That was fucking AWESOME.
That was one of the best fight scenes I've seen on the show so far too.
Next episode is Taliban vs. IRA. I don't know the specifics of either so I'll wait to call it until after I see what they can do.

Pulling out a weapon that wasn't used in the show doesn't help your little conversation. Let's remember the ass rape though:Twin Hooks: 566 kills
this is what i meant gin. ive seen weapons bring in hundreds of kills for a warrior before but the twin hooks quite literally won the fight. technically, the mauri could bring all the weapons at their disposal and the monk would have won with only the twin hooks. ive never seen an outcome like that before unless someone can prove me wrong of course.
i missed wallace vrs shaka due to work but just imagining the claymores destructive power was enough. i know a bit of both backgrounds so it will certainly be interesting :3

6-0 Not that big of a surprise though. Claymore is teh rape.It is indeed rape. I'm 3-0 for now, having missed the first 3 weeks of DW. I thought that the fight would've been a lot closer in terms of battles won, like 57% to 43% or 54% to 46%, not 621 to 379.
I can't even begin to fathom the next fight. I'm betting the side that's not Taliban.

Taliban vs IRA
Isn't this two terrorist organizations fighting against each other? What's the point?
(Sorry if I offend anybody by calling the IRC terrorist. I don't know much about them, but from what I've heard, they sound like a bunch of terrorists. They've certainly scared a lot of fucking people.)

Honestly, I don't really know squat about the two forces. Taliban only through the news and Bush's interference in the Middle East. But I think it's down to who's better armed and who has better coordination/tactics.
