Dealing with Depression

So, I get serious bouts of depression randomly that last anywhere from a few hours to a few days, that I usually have trouble dealing with. Including yesterday, where I rage quit from the #fakku channel on IRC because I went emo and shit. So my question to you guys: How do you deal with depression? What's a good way to stave it off? try to keep it somewhat intelligent

well it took me about 8 years but after therapy and stuff i finally realized my own self worth. it is the evolution of your state of mind. it just takes a lot of work
