I'm pretty open about my interest in hentai. A lot of people get surprised when they hear about it, but they get used to it pretty fast.
I even watch/read hentai with some of my friends for the hell of it. My ex once claimed I was the best girlfriend ever because of my love for the fine art of H.
But dissed? Never happened...maybe a couple of times if I try to think back really hard, but it wasn't my friends that thought it was disgusting - it was some "underage" yaoi fangirl if I remember correctly.

Noone in the real world (aside from my closest friends / signifigant others) knows that I am into hentai, so I really don't have to deal with anyone "dissing" me per say. Friends should be able to accept anything about you, as long as you aren't hurting anyone / yourself.

I have had two reactions when people find out i watch hentai. one is they start dissing me. saying how creepy and gross it is. The other is the whole "whatever" attitude. they don't really care at all. I have never had anyone say "you watch hentai! dude that is so awesome! i do to!" so yes the most common response when people find out you like hentai is a negative one

Yeah, I've been there. I get dissed quite a bit because of it, and it's not like I'm trying to force it on people either. If they ask me about it, then I'll answer honestly. What they think is not relevant to me so it doesn't really get to me that much any more. Plus, one of my closest friends who is a girl knows that I'm into this kind of stuff and the other day she told me she wished her boyfriend could learn a thing or two from me and I quote "because he sucks at doing it. He should read hentai".
Knowledge is never wasted that's for sure. If anything, this site alone is substantial proof that hentai is not as shunned as one might think.

Some of my friend like hentai too. Some don't and think it's a bit strange. I've been dissed from strangers 2 or 3 times too, but no big deal, I didn't really care much about their opinion.
