I've been labelled 'the Hentai Baron' - as nicknames come, that's pretty sweet if you ask me. Most people just don't want to know and don't ask, but anyone that does I just overexagurate everything to make it a joke, saying I have 10 terabytes and an encrypted external hd with me all the time. :D Like I say though, my close friends give me a whole lot of stick for it and anime.

@ImperialX: ouch, you got stung bad. I guess half of revealing your hobbies/interest is revealing it to the right people, and I don't mean similar hobbies, but people with the maturity to handle it. If not, you'll get your ass steamrollered by people who are disgusted, who think they're better than you, and the like.
But to be honest, just blow it off. I'm sure everyone has something that people don't want others to know, and liking hentai? Psh, there are things out there that are worse, e.g. masturbating in school or you like lolis or something along those lines. They can't accept you, tell them to get the fuck out because they ain't your real friends.

Yeah, I guess that was pretty unwise of me. I didn't see the need to hide it back then. I don't regret it though. I can take their insults. I don't even care.
And of course, g-money, all my true friends accept me for who I am. :D

My close friends all either look at it themselves or are tolerant of the fact that I do. I've had a few that were like "How can you like and get off to that cartoon bullshit! Get a real woman!" Of course I'd then be an ass an argue that hentai and other depiction arts is better because you can match your preferences better to something that you have some control over (whether you draw hentai yourself or because there are more abundant genre types than typical porn you come across.)

It's something that happens quite often for me, just about anyone who isn't my friend disses me for liking it. However, just now on FB I got dissed specifically due to me coming of Fakku. Here's the conversation:
She knows me from my old high school, and this doesn't really mean much. Most of my friends know my love for hentai and are fine with it. I don't keep a facade. However, it's true I get dissed a lot for liking it. It's strange isn't it? It's even more "moral" than porn.

hmm i see...well people diss me cus i dont like hentai..well sorta. i dont like all lolicon its just when the characters look really really young (4-9) it turns me off and the people here dis me cus they like it. so yeah but i love hentai much more than real porn

I'm with Waar and TMS on this one. I hide my preferences. Only 2 of my friends know that I like hentai. A few of my friends in my closer circles only know I like anime/manga, and the outer circle don't even know I play games.
Though a few weeks ago one of my hentai watching friend said that a few of my friends who were over at my place at the time went digging through my computer... and found shit... D: They haven't said anything yet, though.

Uh oh... better bust out your big stick and let it speak for your interests. It's also one of the reasons why I don't really allow people to use my laptop because of certain content that would be better left unseen.

I recently told my friends that I watched hentai, and they were shocked. I invited one of them to fakku, (tooya777). I showed another close friend of mine who is a girl and she was weirded out by it. She teases me about it once in awhile but nothing too big.

Well i don't advertise my love of hentai, but i don't hide it either. The only people that know i like hentai like it themselves(or at the very least don't diss people for it), so it doesn't cause much problems with my freinds

Heh, kind of reminds me of one of my friends. I don't really hide the fact that I like hentai, but if it doesn't somehow end up in comversation that no one knows. My friend Matt does though because he's often over at my house, and I'm so used to my privacy that I keep my hentai and porn folders, web pages, etc... on my screen. So often when he comes over I forget about that and keep it on my screen, so when he does a search on the internet or wants to show me something on my computer he just minimizes the stuff and moves on. He's used to my odd habits. XD
