Yeah, usually to every waiter/restaurant/etc. at least a minimum amount, unless the service is horrid.
Usually I'll hit up what is basically a Denny's (called Eat n'Park.) spend 7-9 bucks and leave $3. Which is good enough.
Is that in Pittsburgh? My grandma used to always take me there when I was little.
I always thought it should be called Park n'Eat though! :D

I tip barbers as much as 50%. 20% if I'm not very happy with the work, plus I never return.
Waiters/waitresses/cooks, depends. The higher class the restaurant, the bigger the tip I leave. I don't tip at the local greasy spoon. Any place where the cook personally asks how I'd like my food I will tip around 20%.
I've never been in a restaurant that forces tips (or will give you bad service if you don't). If there was ever such a place, I won't eat there. I give money to show how satisfied I am, not because people expect it.
Food delivery -- no. Food delivery here usually has an additional 15% to 20% charge. If I'm somewhere that _requires_ people to tip delivery service (most of US and canada) I just don't order delivery at all.
Everyone else -- generally no. Sometimes I tip cab drivers, if he isn't an ass. In airports and hotels (especially in HongKong, where they will treat you badly/fucking spit if you don't tip or if you don't tip well), I carry my own damn luggage.

                        I definitely do.
Waiters/waitresses: 15%-20%
Food delivery: Somehow it usually ends up being $3
Manicurist/Pedicurist: $5-$10. This is more of a guilt tip, as I can't stand anyone's feet and I feel bad that someone has to touch feet for a living.
After reading Waiter Rant, I would urge everyone to tip their waiter/waitress, unless you want a floor burger :X

Yes it is. Not sure how far around Pittsburgh they extend to. But I'm only about 25 miles or so NW of Pittsburgh. So I go to Eat n'Park all the time.
And I actually asked that same question years ago, and evidently Park n' Eat was already taken as the name to a restaurant. Not sure if they did any better cause I've never seen one.

I used to tip when the delivery is fast and the pizzaboy/or any other deliveryboy is not a complete asshole. I usually give 500Ft as tip (HUF, don't know how much is this in USD haha)

Unless the service is such crap that I don't believe they deserve a tip, I will tip.
Crappy service includes things like.
Not bothering to refill glasses.
Only showing up at the table to take my order and provide my food.
Being rude.
Spending a lot of time talking to someone instead of providing me the service I requested, such as instead of refilling my drink they are talking with their friend.
Things like that.
Because I've spent a lot of my time in food service (around 12 years) I know how important a tip is to a waiter or waitress.
As for how much? I usually tip pretty generous, around 20% at times if I enjoy the service and food.

Yea if I have had 3 or so beers I'll leave a tip for about $2
But only 1 beer no tip which is never likely when I go out
Pizza been awhile sense I orders out but it depends on how much the pizza is like if it's $18 then $3 tip seems fair

                        I always tip!
Being a previous waiter and having to basically live off the tips I made, every tip I received counted.

A lot of restaurants where I am make the tip as part of the bill, also. A lot meaning like maybe 20% of them.

a tip is earned from the customer, it isn't required form the customer.

I tip all the time at sit down restaurants 10 to 20 % depending on service
By the way the automatic tax in France is called "Service Compris" and is usually only added for large parties or high end restaurants

Tipping in this country is not really done and its never expected but if I go out for a meal (not very often lol) I will leave a tip if the service was good. if not no I don't cos they are probably on more money per hour than I am anyway :(.
Taxi drivers I tell to keep the change most of the time if its less than a pound, but if they go out of their way to help me (ie help bring my shopping to the door.) Then I'll give them a good tip.
I don't tip in coffee shops as I used to work in one and the manager wouldn't allow tips and kept any that were left on tables to balance the till if needed. So I dont want my money to go to something like that >>
If I was better off I would probably tip all the time as I've worked in the food industry and it is really hard work.

Thanks, I was just too lazy to look for it. Well it's been a while since I ate in a restaurant in France, being a student I can't really afford it lol (and I don't live there anymore either).
