It really creeps me out that I finished watching Tokyo Magnitude 9.0 a day before this happened.
I really hope the last Reactor doesn't suffer a meltdown.

Well, you'll be glad to know that those two have been rescued and are undergoing vet treatment. That's at least one story with a happy ending.

So, anyone heard anything new about the situation on Japan yet?Japan raises accident severity level to 5 in nuclear crisis - nothing new except the title.
("20-kilometer evacuation radius." with "The latest radiation levels are below 500 microsievert per hour, the threshold beyond which the operator is required to report an emergency to the government.")
Moment of silence held for victims a week after quake, death toll nears 7,000 - sums it up atm.

Yeah, it seems that a lot of the coverage is now being split between this and Libya now. I did hear on CNN that Japan has received less donations than both Katrina and Haiti.

Well, as horribly spun as that might have been by the media that could just very well be the economy. Might be selfish, but a lot of people aren't willing to throw around the cash for causes when they can barely make due with their own lives, nevertheless concern themselves with the lives of others.
