I used to go to a lot of them, whenever I had the chance. Now I selectively pick the best ones since I don't have the time or the patience I had before to go to all of them anymore.

I have gone to AX every year from 2007 to 2009. First two year we did the long from Alberta, Canada to LA (a round trip of 5000 km), for the third year we flew. Every year that I went to AX it got better and better, moving from the Long Beach Beach Convention Centre to the LA Convention Centre was great idea that improved the whole experience, especially for those from a small town in Canada.
I was very disappointed that I had to miss out on AX 2010 due to work. Its hard to make it to LA when your over 1000 km north of the Arctic Circle.
In 2007 and 2008 I went to Nishikaze (years 2 and 3 of the convention), and got to see the fledgling con grow from 400 people to over 4000! which is not bad for the small prairie city of Lethbridge, Alberta

I went to my Very First one in July 3 at the Anime Expo! It was soooo awesome
I went cosplaying as Ryohei Sasagawa from "Reborn!", it was a last minute dress up, but I pulled it off rather well, and I was totally excited that people actually wanted to take a picture of me as Ryohei (though I lacked his extreme attitude, hahahah...)
I went with my cousin and some friends
And its surprising, I'm the shy type, so its pretty hard to make friends unless they share the same interest, but in there, I met with people and became friends in matter of minutes.
But the merchandise was rather expensive, I only carried Seventy-Five dollars, and I managed to buy a 1/138 Gundam Model, and a Toradora! DVD pack, gotta save up for next year
Overall, it was a pleasant first time experience, and I hope to go again next year.

Yes it was FUCKING AWESOME. I'm sorry but when you walk up to someone in a restaurant ask them what they bought and it starts up a conversation that's fun. But whats even cooler is after he describes what he bought in one bag he asks how old you are and when you confirm that your over 18 he just starts talking about the hentai bishoujos he just bought without even hesitating and thinking about whether you like hentai or not. That right there that's heaven.

No, I've never been to an anime convention, but I'd really like to go! Lack of money, though... Also, in my country there are now good conventions, only shitty ones...

No and to be perfectly honest I probably wouldn't go to one even if given the chance. I watch some animes and obviously I fap to hentai but I'm not really that dedicated to it. I enjoy talking to you goofs on here and throwing my two cents in on animes I'm familiar with but that's about the extent of it.

NEXUS
Since 2010
I wanna go but lack of money prevents me from going plus the closest con is 6 hours away
from me and to stay there is expensive as fuck so I am better off financially not going.
