I voted no because I live near St. Louis and to my knowledge, there aren't any spectacular 'OMGIGOTTAGOTOTHISCON!!!' type conventions nearby. I would much rather go to a larger con like in L.A. or New York.

No, but I have thought about going to one. The problem is me, and my social awkwardness. And I tend to try and steer clear of large crowds. I feel as though I wouldn't fit in, considering I don't know much about the subject.

lots of delicious doujins and rare items in japan that makes my wallet bleed.

I went in 08' and 09' but not this year due to shortage of money I have now at the moment. 08' was fun, but last year my mother tried to get me to group with a few of her friends that were like 8 years older than me, and to which I had no clue to who they were. So that year was just awkward. And both times neither my closest friends nor my anime friends wanted to go with me due to "certain reasons". And I quote "certain reasons". I went to the fanimecon in San Jose both the times.

Yep. I have been to some anime conventions here in Brazil. Not to the most famous one, know as Anime Friends, in São Paulo, but they're still good to go at all. Sincerely I go to that conventions because I like to know more people with the same interests, and to be with some old friends. A unique opportunity to chat things with no sense all day long and, of course, see things related to animes.
Sorry for the mistakes, if I have committed any, I'm still studying English =P

Well the only convention worth going to is about 3 hours south of where I live, it's Ohayocon in Columbus.
I just turned 18 about 2 months ago...and i don't have a car.
However! By the time Ohayocon starts this year (April) I will have my car!
And my lolita nurse costume lol :3

I had a ticket to AX 07' but I never got to go, got in some trouble at home and was revoked the privilege to attend, maybe next year, but Blizzcon 2010 will be my first convention I ever attend.

Can't say that I have. I wouldn't mind going to one, but only if I had a lot of money on me that I could splurge with so I could buy anything my heart randomly desired. I would hate to go only to look around.
Live in Indiana so noting too spectacular here, but I suppose Anime Central wouldn't be too much of a hassle to get to in terms of distance. Money is more of the factor. -_-

I went to animagic in lancaster, and a had a great experience there. Not a lot of money on me, but I got to see Death and Re-birth of Evangelion. Until the staff there found out someone was taping it. Good times.

Always thought it would be interesting to go to one, but like a few others I don't have any friends who are interested in anime....thus the reason my anime and hentai interests are a deep dark secret.

I always go to AnimeNorth and FanExpo (I'm sad that they neglect the Anime part of it), here in Toronto :)
