Have you seen anime based off of video games?
Do you watch anime adaptations of video games?

Not Hentai Protagonist
I assume Video Games does not include Visual Novels.
Well, i have seen some. And well, it's really a question on whether you enjoyed the game itself too and are willing to put up with (perhaps) slightly less up to pat storytelling in the anime.
But really, some are genuinely well done.

I loved the Gungrave anime even though they changed the ending quite a bit. Still the characters were likable. Especially Bunji!

I have to say I like them all because i have only seen one and that was corpse party and I loved it though the ending they chose made me a little sad

seeing a lot of different responses and I still cant understand why people dont understand the poll question. Anime based off video games. Meaning game came first. GAME not light novel, manga, etc...
I've liked a few but most of them felt rushed and didnt mesh well in anime form.

No one mentioned Valkyrie Chronicles yet? That's the first thing I thought of lol. Though besides anime based on VNs most of them are.... Eh. The only one I can say I liked and remember is Valkyrie Chronicles. I know because I was playing the game watching the anime at the same time just about. P4 I dropped that one... didn't like the anime much.

Tales series, is not really that good overall, the game was good, but the animated project, is somewhat lacking. A lot has been edited, which could add to the OOMPH factor of the anime, but they did not add it.
however, some games like
FATE Zero, FSN,Unlimited Blade works and Eiyuu Densetsu was particularly good.
they had a very good introduction, very good animation scenes, and the best of all, they had captured the most epic moments in the game.
Blazblue will be having an anime sometime this year, they had a good plot and good scenes, and is widely recognized in japan as an Arcade Game.
Now, they just have to be sure that they maintain that status and make sure that they don't blow it.

I love Persona 3 but....Persona Trinity Soul? I don't think so....And I hope Blazblue alter memory will kick ass. Persona 4's atmosphere simply isn't well accomidated through an anime, it works best as a video game.

Galaxy Angel was good plenty of fanservice but, the majority of games made into anime are either too mediocre at best or just plain merchendise driven crap.

Halo was surprisingly good. Also Valkyria Chronicles was well made but it got quite meh at some point.

Dangan Ronpa's anime would be much better if they slowed down the investigations, or the story in general.
amen. Well, they got the 3rd execution right. even tho they dumbed down the most intense case of the game and they have Watches inside the facility...
P4 was pretty good and Fukken Steins Gate.
...lets not talk about the anime named after the VN Tsukihime...
