"Normal" people's reaction to Hatsune Miku video

to me... the projection is not creepy.. but the ppl below the stage reacting to the projection just make it creepy

I saw the kids reaction video too, and can picture that it wouldn't be too uncommon reaction. I found it a bit weird actually. The reason people view it as "not normal" is because she isn't real, correct? How big is the realness factor of popstars anyway, lets say Lady Gaga or Kesha? They are characters as well, just created with clothing, make-up and acting.
Sure, there is a real human under that, but the people who designed and created the projection of Miku and wrote the songs are real as well. They are the artists of that concert. The presence of a physical body hardly matters, they won't get a chance to grope the artist anyway.

What are normal people? You guys must live in those places where you have to hide your weebness to stay normal?Normal at my school is bascially when you play sports, listen to "hip" music, try to get everyone to like you, and go on facebook 24/7. Pretty much I'm the only weeb at my school (that I know of) and no I don't hide my weebness at all.
Wow, how unlucky. Most of the people in my class are nerds and some of them weebs. In fact, I pretty sure most, if not all, visit Fakku too. It's actually the norm to be a nerd in my class. :D

it kind of annoys me. Maybe just the fact the people (some, not all) can be so fucking narrow-minded.I know how you feel, my family members are all like "Eww, disgusting" towards even the faces of the Japanese people, anime and their songs, heck, one time I was watching anime songs on TV, mom went like "Chong, chang choo~", as if mimicking some Chinese, and said other shit, she did it not only then, but many other times of course, soon my older brother even started calling it shit and all that. Its annoying to hear all that from people.
I just wished people would learn when to shut up sometimes.
As stated before, Anime/Weeb culture is a love/hate relationship. Either you love it or hate it. Kind of like most music these days. People are so fucking narrow minded that if it's "odd" or something that isn't "popular" you get those negative reactions. Really, those are the people who are afraid to try new things (at least in my experience). Best solution is to ignore shallow, narrow minded people.

"They laugh at me because I'm different; I laugh at them because they're all the same"...you know I just want to say that I saw that on 3 different T shirts in one day. Ironic eh?

Vocaloid sucks, they were completely right on that part. Maybe they did overreact a little though.

dude when i first saw a vocaloid I asked what anime are they from. The guy said they aren't from an anime. I replied "ok what are they from" then he said that they are mascots for some music editing program or something. after that I pretty much decided that they were stupid. besides they look kind of loli

I understand why you feel annoyed. First it's part of the Japanese culture (okay, maybe more otaku culture) and I feel insulted when they scoff at the "ridiculousness" (omg this is an actual word o.0). Secondly I love Vocaloid to death so I end up feeling doubly insulted.
These people are extremely narrow-minded and didn't have the intellect to express their thoughts in an objective manner or at least courteously. I have no qualms with them thinking this is surprising, but they do not have the rights to laugh or scoff at another country's culture and in such an inconsiderate manner. The same way they wouldn't want others to laugh at... I don't know, Michael Jackson or Justin Bieber (I wonder why) or something.
Until they learn to respect others' culture and interest, they should rot and die. *is incredibly pissed*
