Seriously the only movie to get me a little gittered up was the movie Quarantine. The only reason I liked it was because of the realism.Just so you know, that was based on a Spanish movie called [REC], which is very good. I don't think it matters much though, because it looked like Quarantine practically copied [REC] frame by frame.

A Tale of Two Sisters, the original Korean version, scary and beautiful film.I haven't seen it in a while, but I remember Salo was pretty... disturbing.
I seen it too. It wasn't scary at all though. (you really like korean movies dontcha)
I'd have to say "The Omen"(2005 remake). I was never so fucking tense during a movie. From start to finish, it was tense as hell. (and because I like to watch my movies alone in the dark with headphones, it made it even more intense)
Am I the only one who has watched it?
Btw, so many peoples scared with The Ring. It isn't that scary at all. The Grudge was scarier (and awesome).

I like all kinds of movies.
But yes, I do enjoy Korean films, I'm a big fan of Asian cinema. :)

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Rosemary's Baby yet.Saw it not too long ago, great classic horror film. I couldn't help but laugh every time I heard "Hail Satan!", though.

None really scare me too much. But when I was a tween, I saw The Ring when it came out. I didn't go near water for a week. And I viewed it both lights on and off that day.

For me it must be 'It'. That clown was so disturbing.
< Especially that scene left a scar on me forever.
And Carrie (1976 version), that ending was really fucked up.

But now I know the actors are getting paid enormously for all the scary shit they pull off, it kind of lost it's charm.

Agrees with above, IT is scary as shit. Another that at least I think is scary is Mirrors! Sure, the ending sucks and isn't very scary at all, but then again, mirrors are scary just by themselves, and the bathtub scene is hurting my soul =(

< Especially that scene left a scar on me forever. There was a scene where that clown was a giant, who looks similar to NEMESIS from R.E.3.
The scariest movie I've ever saw when I was little. I can't remember the title, but the villain looked similar to the Scream villain, he dissected a science teacher and made him eat his heart. The background music and sound effects probably contributed to the scare, pretty much I can't forget about it till this day.

chuckie.... i watched the movie when i was 5 and had nightmares of him chasing me for 6 years... they ended ^_^ everytime my bro wanted to watch the 2nd/3rd one of it i'd run into the kitchen, cover my ears, and say "LALALALALALALALALALALALA!!!" out loud so i don't hear him talk... it made me hate having dolls... especially human dolls.. i can handle stuffed animals though... but for the sake of anime, i can forget all that and get some anime figures ^_^
2nd scariest movie i've seen is the grudge... scared the crud out of me... when i watched it in the theater i turned my sweater backwards and put the hood on my face... i was covering my ears and said, "LALALALALALALALALALA!!!" like i did with chuckie, except that i said it quietly because i didn't want to be an idiot and ruin the movie for other viewers... i ended up falling asleep... ^_^

I'd have to say the Grudge. Something about the noise the spirit makes, the long black hair and gaping open mouth just freaks me out!

For me, it's The Exorcist. I first saw parts of it when I was a 10 year old, and the parts that I did see had me sleeping with the tv on for weeks. To this day I have trouble watching that. Scary stuff.

I watched The Fly when I was 7 or 8 and though it wasn't even a horror movie, it has succeeded in the job of making me loose some sleep. But what freaked me out the most was The Blair Witch, the original one that is, at the age of 10. My uncle heard good reviews about the film and rented a VHS of it. Heh, I kept clutching the sofa the entire movie... and a good half-hour afterwards too.
Nowadays, movies don't scare me like they used to, mainly because of this:
