Emotionally then? Perhaps even spiritually depending on the food you dropped. Dropping a communion cracker can't be good. I don't know. You're the one who is saying that picking it back up out of spite is worse.
I was just assuming... I mean, doing anything out of spite is bad right? It certainly isn't going to help the situaion.

If it's on the floor, it's not going in my mouth. Unless it's chocolate, and then I swoop down and eat it so the dog doesn't die of chocolate poisoning.

Isn't it? Take Nekohime - she honestly doesn't want her dog to die of chocolate posioning, so she willingly will eat chocolate off the floor.
I'd say that is pretty good...

it depends.
You're probably getting more germs from shaking hands with someone than you will with food on an average floor.
I will if it hasn't landed in something really dirty, especially if it is rinse-able.
You don't have to eat chocolate you dropped to prevent your dog from it.
You can just throw it away.

My dog ate 2 of those giant Hershey Almond XL Bars I had on a counter (don't ask how you'll find it fake) and you know what he did after that? He ate my bowl of cereal and fruit I had on the table when left it there momentarily.
Came back home after work and he had opened one of the bottom cabinets and ate all the halloween candy we had for trick or treaters. It was roughly 5 pounds of chocolate and he managed to spit out the wrapper and eat the candy. All he did was take a nasty dump and ate a full cup of dog food. I'm questioning that chocolate poisoning cause if that's true this dog shoulda long been dead.

Whether or not you do something out of goodwill, anger, honesty, or spite; doesn't mean the outcome that follows will be such. The outcome could be good, bad, or benign.

Then the bitch will try to get it from the trash can and whine. It's just easier to eat it. >_<"

Depends on the breed and size of the dog, and it not the chocolate that the problem it the caffeine. At least what the dog whisperer said.

Are you saying that the motivations and attitude behind eating of the floor have no outcome on the act of eating off the floor?
How closed minded of you to ignore the issues of morality behind the five second rule.

My burrito fell on the kitchen floor about two weeks ago. I quickly picked it up and gobbled it down. It was good. Afterwards, I drank water.

He'd be so dead.

To label it as "worse" without regard to circumstance is folly. We're done here.

In public areas, I just throw it away.
At home and homes of relatives/friends, I pick it up, blow on it, and eat it.

Anyways. It also depends on the type of chocolate. Dark chocolate is what is most likely going to poison animals rather than say milk chocolate because it contains way more chocolate than milk chocolate.

Now we are done.

When it comes to motivations and attitudes about dropped food, they are really only excuses for it.
