Torrenting is bad, boys n' girls!

Have you ever got a letter in the mail from your ISP saying you downloaded something illegally? I did today. I'm not saying any specifics because I don't want ANOTHER letter, but needless to say I have to delete a lot of stuff now.
Have you ever had this happen, Fakku?

80% or more of the internet is illegal, although majority are trojans and fake
-hey, doesn't this belong in the computers section?

This goes to show that not only is the FBI watching you fap, but your ISP too.

Who ever said you had to delete that stuff. It isn't like they will come to your house and even so hide that shit like a boss. Most letters are just empty threats. Best thing to do I'm told is to replay back saying you are sorry and that you won't do it again. That works in America anyway. If you are in Europe just change isps cause they got plenty there that just don't give a fuck.
Never got a letter and even if I do I got ways to work around it so I can't be caught. VPN and ddl from a seedboxes is pretty awesome. Pretty much bullet proof protection right there.
Edit: If you get one for something anime related its probably from bayTSP which you can just throw out since legally they can't do shit to you other than pass out letters. Anime companies can't afford law suits anyway. They can't stop uploaders and there are just too many downloaders.

It was just something for downloading an episode of South Park. That's it.
Didn't say I needed to anywhere.
Yup.

Hahahahahahaha. Wait..give me a sec...Bwahahahahahahaha! *cough cough* Ahem! Hmm yes, where was I? Oh yes. Yeah those letters are usually pretty meaningless. I got one for every episode of a certain series I was watching and just ignored them. In the end my ISP did nothing and neither did anyone else.

If it's bayTSP don't worry about it. They can't legally do shit anyway other than send out letters to scare you. Now if you don't want another letter what I would do is use south park official streaming service. Creators make money and you get your stuff. Pretty win. http://www.southparkstudios.com/
Most episodes are there except for ones like episode 200 and 201 with that whole Muhammad deal because comedy central is a bunch of cowards on the inside.
Some bots on rizon also have the episode shortly after air if you want a secure download.

Oh, I watch the episodes as they premiere on TV. I just really liked this one and wanted it. Just my stupid mistake.

^This, though I would like to add one more thing.
Proxies will not save you. In fact, a lot of them are really just a "feel-secure" illusion. If anyone really wanted to, they could easily trace your connection back to it's original location. Especially the FBI/CIA. Thinking that an intelligence agency doesn't know where you live simply because your ISP didn't give out your IP to them is just asking for it.

You might want to go through the TOS with your ISP. They may not even have the right to interfere with you torrenting. A lot of ISPs are getting cocky and sending out letters when they have no right to stop you from torrenting. Take Comcast. Comcast has been ordered up and down; left and right to not interfere and they still do. Like Tegumi pointed out, it was more like you were forwarded a C&D that your ISP got, and so they just passed it onto you.
Reminds me of my best friend. He was torrenting while at his campus one day and got a nasty letter from the college about him downloading stuff illegally. He was actually forced to read this stupid article about how illegal downloads are wrong and had to take a test about it, or otherwise he would be sued.
