Torrents or Direct downloads?
Which is better?

Which one is easier to get HD anime from? Im trying to put anime on my PS3. But I need a place where I can download HD anime. Idk if this info helps but I'm using Any Video Converter to convert the videos which the PS3 can play. I tried PS3 9 but it kept converting my videos to mp4 format. Ok so what I'm basically asking is
1. Which is better Torrents or Direct Downloads.
2. What sites can I use to do what I need to do?

completed series are usually torrents, and for question two use I use nyaatorrents most of the time, but googling can find you most torrents. For ddls you can find them the same way as I dun have any specific site for em

I prefer torrents. With Direct Downloads, if you want to get an entire series it's a hassle because some DL sites don't allow parallel downloads. With torrents you just click a few times and wait.
Torrents are less work.

And the website you use for anime?

Oh sorry. Uh...
nyaatorrents.org
tokyotosho.info
Other than that I just go straight to the Fan-Subbers website.

Thanks i found it. Downloading 1-27 episodes of TTGL. So far 5 days and 17 hours to go -_-. Maybe I should get off my ps3
That or just download the episodes one at a time

Avi and mp4 are the 2 good ones to use with mp4 being the higher quality ones to use. If you dont believe me that hd things arent in mp4 buy some anime off the store and itll download shit as mp4 like its supposed to be. Otherwise keep using anyvideoconverter and convert it into avi it might make the quality a bit bad and torrents are something i ususally use since my comp keeps my room warm at night.

I prefer DD's but sometimes, for a complete anime series where I can't find anywhere else, I use torrents.
Also, this is a pretty good convertor. And it's fast too. You can convert to PS3 format too!

For me I've always used direct downloads, mainly because there's only a few anime I watch and plus my university has a zero-tolerance policy on torrents. The site I mainly use that has a large catalog of anime is animetake. It's updated on a pretty much daily basis from what I can tell.

Yeah I'm too impatient for torrents but they get the job done. I like to use da-forums and realitylapse for my anime and I recently started using animetake for my DDLs.

mIRC user here. I guess that would fall under direct downloads. I can get 1mb per second sometimes with mIRC.
Not everyone likes to learn how to use it even tho it's so simple...

Personally, I've always preferred DDL. Unless the torrent has a huge amount of seeders, it is almost always easier and faster to DDL a file.

Well all I know is when it was in MP4 format it couldnt pick it up. But as soon as i put it in mpeg-1 format it worked like a charm
Also that website is a good website. But it doesn't have the anime I'm looking for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

The Lord of Butts!
Im downloading nearly everything with torrents. less work and no premium accounts for faster d/l rate required, atleast for µtorrent.
