yea.. and metal usually have a breakdown part and they music usually using palm mute... and also with a soft chorus or verse and overall i think metal is better than screamo ....

Maybe guys like Dying Fetus and Suffocation did that before, but before the whole Metalcore and Deathcore fad, breakdowns were pretty much non-existent.
And now, every second band seems to need those. I think I even heard a fucking breakdown in a Linkin Park song.

Yeah, it can get pretty annoying. I do enjoy a lot of metalcore bands, for example Killswitch Engage and All That Remains, but when every two riffs there's a breakdown like in every single Waking the Cadaver song you just know there's something wrong going on.
But like I said before, metal is a very varied music genre. Saying that it is about screaming is the same as saying that all hispanics have moustaches and are named Pablo or José. Just because MTV labels Underoath and Slipknot as the ultimate metal bands doesn't mean all metal is like that. Heck, there's over 15 subgenres without couting the "fake" ones.

I'm sorry, but how could Screamo even be called music? I mean even it were everything MINUS the vocals (which is in all likely hood the entire point of the genre) then maybe, just MAYBE could it be music. This crap is just like rap, they take some shitty beat and a "catchy" tune and put vocoded bullshit down to your ear drums and want you to give them $15 for their brand new album because "It's deep and has a lot of meaning" for them.
The only way you could get me to give them $15 for anything would be for them to put down their guitars, stop playing with a god damn double bass pedal, and kindly shut the hell up. And no, I don't feel strongly about it.

Plus, who can deny Brokencydes awesomeness? Actually, probably all of you, but I like screamo, its its own genre, thats all I care about.

I listen to all types of music too but screamo is not its own genre, it just simply blows big donkey dong. Screamo is a combination of emo and metalcore which in itself are already watered down versions of other genres. No offense but you got shit taste in music. Then again its not your fault, its just your generation that listens to shit music. Your probably somewhere between the age of 16 and 20.

I have my reasons for being defensive over this. Ones which I am not going to post here. And I don't listen to screamo because I don't want to, I have better things to listen to.
