I really don't like the genre. Whenever I hear it, I quickly avoid it haha! I tend to keep a certain distance away when I hear some screamo somewhere near me.

It has its ups and downs. To the guy that said something good about Brokencyde, you need a new taste in music >.>
I like some screamo bands, but only deathcore usually, and its not really that great, and I only like it because some of them are extremely talented with their instruments (minus vocals).

Like some sub-genre of metal or something, right? I've heard some before, I think; maybe. I don't like it. I don't care for it. I like my music to sound like music.
Imagining it, ...No. Doesn't sound good.

Some people apparently think screamo is somehow related to metal. Because, metal is about screaming, and so is screamo, right?! Well, damn, they can't be more different.

Now that's beind different. And while there's plenty of screaming metal, there's also plenty of non-screaming metal (power, progressive, heavy, thrash, folk), and...well, screamo is just a subgenre of emo/post-hardcore, which comes from hardcore punk music, nothing related to metal.
Quoting myself. Screamo is unrelated to metal.

I didn't know Screamo was considered music.
I always thought of it as a bunch of shitty noise.
Like Country, Disney, or Church music.

You should then be able to find some others branched from them.

I think Screamo can sound really good if used tastefully. With some bands I find it can get annoying and obnoxious. If the melody or the bgm works with the screaming it can sound amazing but other times it can fall flat.
For example Bite to Break Skin (original) by Sense Fail, the screamo part of this song sounds amazing, the combination of the bg and the vocals really gets me going. I also really like screamo songs that bridge into really well sung choruses like some songs by Devil Wears Prada. Its funny cause I find screamo bands have potential to sing normally and sound amazing.
Examples:
Louder than Thunder by Devil Wears Prada
The Coldest Rain by Diecast
City in Colour (Alexisonfire's lead singer solo)
All amazing, all not screaming.

Generally avoid screamo if possible. Only screamo song that I like would be Losing you by Dead by April. Well, if you can consider that screamo. Lyrics are meaningful to me so, yea.

I love Screamo. Orchid, La Quiete, Nitro Mega Prayer, Gauge Means Nothing, Envy, Gantz, Circle Takes The Square, I Would Set Myself On Fire For You.
Screamo has a terrible reputation but it has so many truly epic bands.

I'm going to guess Brokencyde is an "acquired" taste. I can see why they are more-or-less the laughing stock of the musical neighborhood.
Granted I'm not particularly a fan of Screamo anymore, but I was a fairly big fan of Circle Takes the Square some years ago, but at least Circle Takes the Square was melodic, Brokencyde can hardly claim that. They really do, at least in the minds of many, embody so much of what is wrong in the music industry. Pop-punk trash lyrics with no melodic tone or meaning mixed with vocals that are meant to be aggressive and having deeper meaning, but with them in just comes off as "OMG I'M SCREAMING!!!!1+SHIFT"
