Always thought this game would be a close run thing, a 1-1 maybe looking at this first half. Uruguay - France I can't see being particularly lively (or good) and with France's horrible attacking form I'd go 1-0 France, if not another 1-1.

Also just a thought here, but it'd be cool to replace that ancient front page poll with something World Cup related, if only a 'will you be watching'. Would be interesting to see what the world interest in the 'world's sport' is this year.

Game is boring the crap out of me. South Africa can't play and Mexico can't finish. Smells like 0-0 to me.

I guessed right :P Diego Forlan hadn't crossed my mind though, so I retract the likelihood of a 1-0 for the France - Uruguay match. Another 1-1 is still a strong possibility with an otherwise meh Uruguay team and France in awful form though.

What an awesome first game. That offsides call on that goal was so retarded at first, but after watching it more, that was an amazingly hard call to make and he made the right one since the ball was hit after the goalie was way out, thus the player was offsides cuz last player was on the line.

Edit: I underestimated the power of home field advantage. Props to SA.

I actually found the game kinda underwhelming. It's not like I expected much in the first place. The game picked up a bit in the second half though. Mexico's defense was completely exposed in this game. They're way to slow and let people get through them way to easily. France and Uruguay could greatly take advantage of that, They should be somewhat glad they played SA in their first game.

Hipefully France/Uruguay is more existing. France is really playing below level and Uruguay tends to fluctuate quality wise so we could have an interesting game on our hands. Hopefully it's better than their 2002 borefest.

If Mexico keeps this type of performance, we are already of the World Cup! ;_;

1-1 for SA and Mexico (SA suddenly played really good after break time, I felt pity for them >_____>)!! 50 mins to go the match France-Uruguay !! Ruu...

FR-UR game was full of dissapoint.

Typical lack of anything from France, Azuran's worst suspicions realised and my 1-1 draw wasn't far off (if a little optimistic). :P Ah well, tomorrow's line-up should be a bit more interesting.
