Heh, I remember that. Awesome.

Here's another hilarious video:

Edge and Christian were awesome.

They WERE really awesome, I mean promo-wise no tag team can even come close. They can shill you out with a microphone.

With Christian back in the WWE, a reunion isn't so far off for the E&C considering Vince is a fan of reunions.

@Azuran - Yep, really true for that inferno match, considering MVP got burned only on his ass and JBL made it sound like his whole body was on fire. Talk about hilarious, but JBL was well-liked for giving any color to any match he calls, even if it was funny.

I hope JBL goes back to being a commentator in the future. If we're talking about heel commentators, JBL is the best example.

Agree.

Yup, I see a reunion coming too. There must be a reason why for that backstage skit between Edge and Christian at Backlash this year. There's no way the E would do that for nothing.

I don't see that happening anytime soon though. Christian is thriving in ECW right now and Edge is involved in too many feuds at the moment (Jeff, Y2J and CM Punk)

Yeah, JBl was a great commentator. Hell, the man even made Michael Cole somewhat fun to listen and everyone knows that hard to accomplish.

The WWE needs to bring back heel commentators. King currently sucks as a face. He doesn't add anything to the match. It also doesn't help that he's stuck with Vintage Cole.

Matt Striker would also be a lot better as a heel. I love his commentary especially when he makes fun of John Matthews. The man was born to be a heel.

MY WWE Extreme Rules predictions because I'm bored:

Submission Match: John Cena vs. Big Show

I can't see John Cena tapping out. Also, he always overcomes the odds. There's no way he's losing here.

Winner: John Cena

Samoan Strap Match: CM Punk vs. Umaga
Seriously, I have no idea who's winning this after watching Smackdown. I though this was going to be CM Punk's big win against Umaga but that though went out of the door yesterday. Umaga wins because just like last time, Punk won't be able to drag him around the ring.

Winner: Umaga

Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE United States Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Matt Hardy vs. William Regal

Kofi wins. I see no reason for the WWE to take the belt off him so early in his reign.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

No Holds Barred match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship: Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Chris Jericho

There's probably gonna be a mask vs. title match in the future between these two so I see Jericho winning the IC Championship for that to t happen. Also, since it's a NHB match, Chris Jericho doesn't have to win cleanly which keeps Rey Rey strong. This should be an awesome match.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Triple Threat Hardcore match for the ECW Championship: Christian (c) vs. Jack Swagger vs. Tommy Dreamer

I love Tommy Dreamer and all but I really don't see the WWE taking the belt off Christian just to give Tommy one last reign. Tommy has no value as a champion and it doesn't help that ECW is a heel-heavy show. Also, Christian is on a roll and he's the perfect face for ECW right now.

Winner: Christian

Steel Cage match for the WWE Championship: Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista

Randy Orton is winning this. The WWE is trying to build him as their top heel so losing the championship won't really accomplish that. Also, I don't like Batista.

Winner: Randy Orton

Ladder match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Edge (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

This should be an awesome match that every wrestling fan should be excited to watch. Both of these men never disappointing when they lock up. This is also the first 1 on 1 ladder match between these two so both men are probably going to be on top form for this. Edge wins because I don't see the reason to take the belt off him so early. Also, the WHC need some stability back after changing hands so many times this year.

Winner: Edge

There you go.

Strong predictions. I'll post mine :D

Submission Match: John Cena vs. Big Show

If setting up this feud involves length until John Cena's in line for the title, I think Big Show should win this to extend this rivalry to The Bash.

Winner: Big Show

Samoan Strap Match: CM Punk vs. Umaga

I'd say Umaga might win. Smackdown is in dire need of true heels.

Winner: Umaga

Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE United States Championship: Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Matt Hardy vs. William Regal

Miz is a lousy heel, William Regal is a puck heel, and MVP is a face. RAW needs a strong midcard heel, and Matt Hardy is. Kofi... well, Kofi may win and script can dictate Matt can again screw Jeff out of frustration of losing this fourway.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

No Holds Barred match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship: Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Chris Jericho

Smackdown needs another top heel, and Shelton ain't one. Chris Jericho can change that. Winning against Rey using a underhand tactic might help.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Triple Threat Hardcore match for the ECW Championship: Christian (c) vs. Jack Swagger vs. Tommy Dreamer

This is Extreme Rules, and ECW owns it by inspiration. Tommy Dreamer WAS ECW champion by less than a day, and WWE might try to hand him the belt and keep another talent away from indy shows. But Christian is a good face. I'm split 51-49 on Tommy and Christian, so I'll have to make a tough call.

Winner: Tommy D.

Steel Cage match for the WWE Championship: Randy Orton (c) vs. Batista

They have to set up Batista as a heel so Trips and Cena are the most viable ones after the title. Plus, WWE is trying to keep the title from switching too many times, so Randy might keep the belt until Summerslam.

Winner: Randy Orton

Ladder match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Edge (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

I think WWE might try to entice Jeff Hardy to sign a contract extension, so he might get the strap at The Bash. But as Extreme Rules go, this might be Edge's.

Winner: Edge

Here are my last minute predictions for Extreme Rules.

Cena vs. Big Show
Cena will win because he's fucking John Cena and in the last PPV he tried to lock it in like four times so that was obviously a set-up

Fatal 4-Way for US Title
I don't really care. I don't think MVP will win it back in less than a week. Matt Hardy's all gay now with that retarded Cowboy Bob Orton cast. Regal's kinda boring and has no momentum so I'll say Kofi wins.

Punk vs. Umaga
What the fuck is the premise for this rivalry?
That's all I have to say. I predict that Punk pulls an upset.

Orton vs. Batista
God, Orton better win. Batista's so boring. Steel Cage matches are boring unless a highflyer's in one. Basically I'm just hoping not to fall asleep during this one.
I say Batista just cause the whole "vengeance for Ric Flair and Triple H" bullshit.

Triple Threat for ECW Title
Christian wins. Dreamer's done and I don't have to watch him lose anymore every week.
The only way I see Swagger winning is so Christian can switch up to a better brand like he deserves.

Hardy vs. Edge
I don't care who wins. These are two of my favorites in my favorite match type so I'm all win-win here.
I think Hardy will win just cause he's been so screwed over recently.
But then again Edge has beat Hardy every time in any ladder related match sooo...

who knows.

Either way it should be a good show.

EDIT:
Forgot Jericho vs. Mysterio
I say Jericho because WWE hates Rey
0
I'll spoiler this 'cause maybe someone didn't watch and doesn't want to know what happened.
Spoiler:
Wow. I fuckin' called every match except for the ECW title match. But really, who the hell ever thought Tommy Dreamer would win?!

And that goddamn CM Punk! I had a feeling he'd cash it in tonight, being Extreme Rules night, especially after he beat Umaga but damn! I really wanted Jeff Hardy to be champion. Oh well. Maybe this can lead to an epic triple threat between Edge, Hardy, and Punk at "The Bash." By the way, why did they change it from "The Great American Bash" to just "The Bash?" Did it offend foreign fans?
Either way I don't really care.

And how 'bout that ladder match? Pretty fuckin' sweet, right? I think that the Jericho/HBK match late last year was better but still this was expertly pulled off and there were some amazing moves in it. I loved it.
And the other matches were good too. Especially the hog pen match. That was hilarious.
The Fatal 4-Way was alright but kind of boring. I don't even remember what happened in it.
The Jericho/Mysterio match was really good. I loved the ending. Nice timing on that un-masking by Jericho.
The ECW title Triple Threat was better than I expected. Best part for me was when Dreamer had Swagger hung up and did his E-C-Dub chest pound and Christian tripped him and did his own E-C-Dub chest pound then his looking for his peeps thing. Classic.
The Punk/Umaga match also exceeded my expectations being a lot more exciting than I figured a "Samoan Strap Match" could be.
The Steel Cage match was boring as fuck and went exactly as I thought it would.
The Cena/Show match: exact same as the steel cage match. Nothing worth paying attention to...
And like I said the Jeff/Edge Ladder match was great and I loved every second of it...
Until the match ended... :x

Smackdown saved this PPV. Raw continues to suck ass (and things are not looking any better)

Spoiler:
Holy crap, what an ending to Extreme Rules. Unlike you Garden, I didn't expect CM Punk to come out at all. I have no idea how I overlooked him. Anyways, when I heard his music played, I was marking out like crazy. Great moment. Is this win part of CM Punk's heel turn? I sure hope so. That was a completelt heelish thing to do on one of the biggest faces of the company.

Anyways, awesome ladder match. Hardy suplexing Edge into the upside down ladder was the best spot. I also marke dout for the aerial spear into twist of fate. I got shades of Wrestlemania 17 for a moment there. Ending was awesome too.

On the other hand, the WWE Champioship match blew complete ass. No psychology, Orton barely got some offense and the match was short as hell. Also, the ending was completely anticlimactic. I actually yelled that's it? aloud when the match ended. Also, they made Orton look like a complete bitch during his entire reign. Seriously, Orton got completely squashed in that match. Horrible. Why does the WWE contuine to hate Randy Orton? Oh yeah, I also hate Batista. Time for another horrible reign from him. I'll take Cena over Boretista any day. :( I don't even feel like watching Raw tonight.

IC match was awesome too. I actually expected Jericho to lose when he brought the chair into the match. The ending spot was sweet as hell. I didn't even see the unmaking at first until Jericho won the match. Clever

ECW match was good too. I actually didn't expect Tommy Dreamer to win at all considering he never wins anything. Good match. E-C-DUB!

Oh yeah, Cena/Show sucked ass. Just the same old crap from those two. I was actually falling sleep during some parts of the match. Horrible stuff. Those two should never have a submission match again.

Oh yeah:

I love CM Punk even more now. Turn him heel WWE!

Match of the night: Edge vs Jeff
Crap of the night: Orton vs Batista

Do any of you wrestling fans know of the move where:

The victim is on the ground face up. The other guy takes the victim's legs and falls backwards. This then makes the victim fly up and hit his head on the turnbuckle.

This move is absolutely rediculous and is probably what ruined wrestling for me. I was just wondering if this manuever had a name...

It's a monkey flip. A very regular wrestling move.

http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/topics/Professional_wrestling_throws

This move, often referred to as a Monkey climb in British wrestling, involves an attacking wrestler, who is standing face-to-face with an opponent, hooking both hands around the opponent's head before then bringing up both legs so that they place their feet on the hips/waist of the opponent; making the head hold and the wrestlers' sense of balance are the only things allowing both wrestler to be in an upright position.

At this point, the attacking wrestler would shift their weight so that they fall backwards to the mat while forcing the opponent to fall forwards with them only to have the attacking wrestler push up with their legs forcing the opponent to flip forwards, over the wrestler's head, onto their back. This move is most commonly performed out of a ring corner. This is due to it being easier to climb onto an opponent while in the corner as balance is easily retained, and it allows the maximum length of ring to propel the opponent across.

@k3npach1 -
Seeing a monkey flip can't ruin a good day of watching wrestling. It's a cheap pop move but not that effective anyway. It's usually a hint the wrstler will perform a turnbuckle maneuver.

If you think the monkey flip is that ridiculous, I know a lot more moves too ridiculous to be true.

Try Rikishi's most famous finisher, "Stink Face". It involves a wrestler's ass shoved into his opponent's face, and while the opponent is trying to comprehend the fact he kissed a butt, the wrestler pins him. And mind you, Rikishi has a huge, huge ass. He has another ass finisher, the "Banzai Drop", involves him sitting forcefully on the enemy's abdomen.

Try Ric Flair's seldom-used wrestling move, the "Testicle Claw". No need to explain what it is.

There's another, Scotty2Hotty's "Worm", it's entertaining but it's stupid as well, 15-second theatrics with an arm chop.

And who can remember Hulk Hogan's "Fingerpoke of Doom"? A single finger used on a 7-footer giant as a finishing move. Crap WCW.

There are a lot more, but I don't think that the monkey flip is in the same league as "ridiculous moves".

Yeah, the monkey flip isn't that bad compare to the moves jmason mentioned. Still, some of those moves are pretty popular with the fans. Hell, just look at The People's Elbow for the biggest example. It was a dumb move but damn, that thing brought everyone to their feet. There's no one in the world that didn't pop for that thing.

IMO, the most ridiculous move in wrestling is the Canadian Destroyer. I'm sorry, but that move is just so unrealistic is hard to take it seriously. It also sucks that the one receiving it does half of the work.

Oh, that one by Petey Williams? Oh jesus. That totally sucks just seeing that move. It's a modified front-flip piledriver but it needs the victim to actually lift Petey up in a backflip-style for him to be able to execute it... dang.

Another un-serious move is Chavo's modified Gory Bomb - i mean, when he executes it, look at the victim's feet. It's clinging to Chavo's thighs like velcro for extra angling for the bomb drop.

I remember staying up late to watch matches between Bret Hart and Diesel as well as the one against his late brother in a steel cage.

Man, you're lucky. I never got to watch Bret Hart wrestle live. The only way I got to see him was through videotapes of old WWE shows that my cousin gave me when I was a kid. He's one of the reasons I fell in love with wrestling when I was a kid.

As for Owen, he died right when I started watching wrestling. RIP Owen.

Well, at least I got to see Austin and Rock so I'm happy.

So this Batista injury is pretty much the end for him I think. He got to go back and got the glory of winning the WWE title one more time and now he can go away.
That's how I interpret what happened on Sunday/Monday.

And speaking of Monday; I loved RAW when Triple H came out. Even before they showed him when everyone was chanting Batista as the ambulance rolled up, I was chanting Triple H. haha. I just had a feeling he'd be there. It was awesome seeing him beat the shit outta Orton too.
But Triple H can't hold RAW all by himself. Orton needs to stop being such a pussy and drop his little bitch boys. Also, is it just me or do Orton and H have really terrible ring chemistry? They've have quite a few of matches over the past year or so and every one has been lame as shit. Of course, the one Orton broke his shoulder (for REAL) so they didn't have much choice other than to wrap it up there. Maybe I'm just remembering how crappy that and their Steel Cage match was.
On on a sidenote, I'd just like to say that I hate steel cage matches. It's just the epitome of fakeness in wrestling imo.

Oh and I agree w/ Azuran, I hope Punk turns heel now. That would be awesome to me for some reason. I imagine a rivalry between he and Jeff starting with Jeff saying that Punk's no better than Edge by cashing in the MiTB when he did and an offended Punk slaps him in the face. Boom. Title match at the next PPV. Or rather next monday on RAW. Then Edge interferes and that leads to a Triple Threat at The Bash!

....

Sorry, I always try to think of ways for the story lines I want to see happen become a possibility. haha

That's why I play the games. That way I get to run this shit. Of course the game people totally fucked up and excluded GM Mode in '09. Seriously, I was more disappointed with that than I was the first time I heard Mike Adamle on commentary.
And that's pretty fuckin' disappointed.

Yup, Batista needs to retire already. When was the last time that man was healthy for more than 6 months?

The thing I hate most bout Batista is that they always give him some pointless reigns. Last time, he defeated Jericho for the WHC only to lose it back to him 8 days later. Now the same thing is gonna happen again. Talk about idiotic.

Damn, and people love to complain about Edge and his short title reigns.

I'm still asking myself why was Trips in that ambulance in the first place. Was that his new ride or something? It was so random.

Also, shouldn't Orton be the WWE champion since Batista never showed up? Man, logic and wrestling don't mix together very well sometimes.

But Triple H can't hold RAW all by himself. Orton needs to stop being such a pussy and drop his little bitch boys. Also, is it just me or do Orton and H have really terrible ring chemistry? Yeah, it hard to name a good Orton/Triple H match. IMO, the best one was their Last Man Standing match from No Mercy 2007. I believe one of the reasons why Orton/Trip matches suck is because both of them have a similar style of wrestling.

Also, they seriously need to elevate MVP to main-event status already. He's way to good to be stuck in the midcard for life. It would also bring some fresh blood to the stale RAW scene.

Oh and I agree w/ Azuran, I hope Punk turns heel now. That would be awesome to me for some reason. Yeah, Punk/Hardy would be an awesome feud. Also the entire thing write itself. Punk, the straight-edge guy vs Jeff Hardy, the person with a history of drug use. I doubt the WWE would go that way though. Still it would be pretty awesome.

That's why I play the games. That way I get to run this shit. Of course the game people totally fucked up and excluded GM Mode in '09. Seriously, I was more disappointed with that than I was the first time I heard Mike Adamle on commentary.

Sure those moves are rediculous to watch but they actually make SENSE. And the move I am talking about is definitely not a monkeyflip... Read what I said carefully. It is completely different than a monkeyflip. I'll try to describe it again:

The victim is on the ground faceup. (EVERYTIME)
The attacker is standing by the wrestlers feet.
The attacker grabs the victims legs/feet.
The attacker falls backwards while still holding the victims legs/feet. It is supposed to look like the momentum from the attacker falling backward carries over to the victim who then:
The victim flies up and over the attacker, but flies FACE FIRST into either the rope or the turnbuckle.

Is eyepoking stupid? Hell yes, but would actually be very painful in real life and is easy to execute.
The worm chop is stupid too, but at least there is some contact and an opportunity to do damage.

The move I am talking about makes no sense at all and looks retarded. So if it isn't a monkeyflip does anyone know what I'm talking about? D:\

@Acuran: That Canadien Destroyer reminds me a lot of the move I'm trying to figure out the name of because the victim does 75% of the effort. LOL. It looked kind of cool, but after watching that move on Youtube more than once I was like....ok thats really dumb. LOL

That's a Slingshot Catapult.
