WWE WRESTLING

OMG there were some fucking great matches then.

The WWE Night Of Champions has just concluded, and your NEW World Heavyweight Champion is - JEFF HARDY!

Wow. I think WWE's gearing up for Summerslam, I guess. They can have Matt vs Jeff again for the title. Or they can have CM Punk win the World Heavyweight title without the aid of the briefcase.

Do not fear, Azuran is finally back from his family vacation!

Anyways, I seem to have missed a lot while I was gone. Jeff Hardy won the WHC (lame), CM Punk finally turned full heel (Awesome!), Shawn Michaels is back (YES!) and Christian is ECW champion again.

I got back just in time for Summerslam and the card is looking great so far. Still needs an ECW match though.

Well... we can assume Christian vs Regal. I think that would be good, since WWE wants a face Christian, and he's getting crowd heat from getting the title from Dreamer, and a match against a heel can change that.

Kane/Khali has been added to the card. Ugh, the match nobody wanted to see again is back. At least its gonna be a perfect bathroom break.

Also, Raw sucks ass right now. I really don't know why I'm still watching that crap. Thank God for Smackdown.

Yes, I'm too lazy to write something so you guys can have those cool pictures and videos.

Yep, I have to agree on most of your predictions. But I'll have to digress on two matches.

I pick Regal to win over Christian. ECW is in need of a good feud, and a win by Regal can set that up. I mean, Regal's building this stable with two henchmen in Jackson and Kozlov, so Christian can feud with these for the championship, with two in tow. Possibly Dreamer and a newcomer. ECW's getting cornballish these days so a good long-running feud can get some viewers.

And I pick Jeff to win... can't have Summerslam end up with a heel. But with 'net rumors swirling that this is Jeff's last week before his hiatus, the next SD taping can have Jeff Hardy to get the Batista treatment - getting injured, title stripped, Punk gets the belt. WWE can then push some younger or some mainstay stars to the limelight - like Matt Hardy and John Morrison.

I picked Christian to win because he hasn't done anything since taking the belt from Dreamer (besides having that awesome extreme rules match). I feel like Christian is gonna pull another "Eddie Guerrero" and will in order to retain the title. Also, the next PPV is in Canada so I bet the WWE wants Christian to go into Breaking Point as the champion so when Regal beats him there (which I expect), the heat is gonna be a lot, lot bigger.

Yeah, but I also noticed that Punk has never gotten a win over Hardy in this entire feud. If you don't count his cash-in, he ran like a pussy at The Bash and then Jeff beat him fair and square at NoC. I feel that taking the title from Jeff here will finally cement his place as a real main-eventer that has to be feared and not a lucky champion.

Yep, strong points. Just watched SS... and you win. All of it ^_^

Pretty amusing parts. Ted DiBiase's brother was a "fan" that helped Orton win, Punk finally won a belt without a briefcase to use, DX used a tank, Christian won in eight seconds (beating Chris Benoit's time record at SS) and Undertaker returned.

Pretty decent PPV.

You are one good match predicter, man! LOL ^_^ Christian did indeed pulled an Eddie-like shenanigan (doing the finisher while Regal was unrobing). Quite amusing way to end the match. My friends were quite disturbed when I was laughing while watching the replays (I was laughing because I remembered your reply). And also, I did notice Breaking Point. Submission matches... Christian - no submission maneuvers. Regal - the Stretch. Yep, gotta agree with you on that one. Regal can win that one.

Good PPV. One of the best SummerSlam in recent years if you ask me.

The Cena/Orton match was a classic example of so bad, it's good. All those restarts and shenanigans made the match a lot of fun to watch. The TLC match was great too. I didn't expect the Undertaker to come back though. I marked out for that part.

FYI, surprise guest appearance on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien by Big Show, Kali, and The Legacy.

If you want to watch check out the Aug 26th show.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson ftw...

I guess there will be no Batista since he's gonna shoot a movie with Manny Pacquiao.

Good. Batista is boring as hell.

I'm gonna miss Jeff. Well, at least he manage to put CM Punk over in a big way before leaving. Gotta give him props for that.

Also, now is the perfect time for the WWE to push John Morrison.

Jeff's leaving WWE again? Oh boy...

Yes, the right time to push him is now, but first CM Punk's have to deal with The Deadman... and also, Rey Mysterio's busted for a Wellness violation, suspended... so probably the time to push Ziggler is also now as well ^_^

Nice prediction man. I was watching ECW today and my mind instantly thought of your prediction when Dreamer came from the back.

Now there seriously needs to be a third member. Bryan Danielson please. Book it WWE!

Now on Jeff Hardy... he was arrested very recently for drug trafficking charges, for having a lot of illegal drugs inside his house. I'd like to hear Jeff's side first before making anymore assumptions.

I think his hiatus from wrestling and contractual obligations on WWE before this shit happened was a blessing in disguise. This one won't count on his WWE "strike count" since he's not a contracted wrestler anymore.

Oh screw him. He's fucked up so many times, it's amazing that he lasted as long as he did.
And you wanna hear Jeff's side? What's he gonna say, "Uhh... I was just holding it for a friend."
He's a loser and will always be a loser.
Though he still gets some credit for being in some of my all-time favorite extreme matches ever.
It's just as a person he fails.

And speaking of things that fail, how 'bout Breaking Point?

Breaking Point Review, y'all!

And Beware!
This is really, really long. (reason for the spoiler)
Okay, ready? Here we go!

Spoiler:
So things started out okay with MVP and Mark Henry vs Jeri-Show. Decent match. Just kinda whatever.

Then Miz vs Kofi stepped things up. I thought their match was really good. I was genuinely surprised by the quality of Miz's performance. That match would've stolen the show for me if not for...

...Legacy vs DX! They had an awesomely brutal match and I loved it. These guys are really good at beating each other up. And it was made even better by Legacy winning. I figured WWE would never go outside of their WWE Box of Standard Outcomes so that was a welcomed surprise.
Here's hoping for a tag team Hell in a Cell match next PPV. *crosses fingers*

But alas. These feelings of elation were not meant to last.

Queue everything going to shit...
NOW!

Next match; Kane vs Khali.
Snore!
Kane is good! Put him in there with someone who, oh, I don't know, has a better moveset than fucking Frankenstein's monster! GAHL!

Then after that was Regal vs Christian. It was alright actually. I liked it, but still a kinda forgettable match.

But now we come to the main events!
This is what's billed as the biggest and best matches of the PPV!
They should be super hardcore buttsex awesome, right?!
WRONG!
Terrible main events! Just awful!

First of all, what's the point in putting Golden Boy John Cena in an I Quit match. WWE would never, NEVER let him show weakness of ANY kind! And that match was boring as shit! If I wanted to see a guy chain up another guy and torture him, I'd... well I'd probably be gay. haha. But seriously, did anyone else laugh at how homoerotic that was? Maybe I just find anything Randy Orton does as gay though.
Anyway, back to the match!
So this torture went on stagnantly for what felt like forever until the prophet John Cena cast off the shackles of oppression and defeated the evil, demented Viper-like beast to reclaim his lost treasure! <--- John Cena's interpretation of the match the next night on Raw.
And another thing that really bugged about the match was that Orton quit like 7 seconds after the STF was applied. How lame is that?!
That match just sucked all around.

Sidenote:
Could they have used the term "breaking point" anymore in this fucking PPV?!
Fuck you, commentating team! Fuck you!

:Back to my shitty review:

Okay, so here we go! Finally, it's the Undertaker vs CM Punk match! Something to salvage the previous match! Hooray!
... Oh, but, what's this? This match is just as bad as the last one?!
NO!!!!
*sigh*

Sooo, yeah, here's how it went down:
They basically, just go back and forth, nothing really going on, and BOOM!, Taker wins just like that. Crappy ending right?
Oh, but wait! It gets worse! Vickie Guerrero banned that move! (I know what you're thinking, who the hell is she? She was that screeching pig-monster that they made Edge kiss all the time. Yeah, her.) Anyway, so that calls for them to restart the match!
So Punk locks in the Anaconda Vise and the ref calls for the bell without a tap out....
Are you serious?
Was that supposed to be funny? Was WWE trying to be cute? Did they think people would get a kick out of it?! Seriously, that was.. just... something else.
And let me make myself clear, I'm not mad that Taker got screwed, it's happens, it's wrestling, I get it; I'm mad that they decided to it in such a.. a...
I really can't think of the right word to describe what that was.
Predictable?
Unimaginative?
Boring?
Desperate?
Or just plain stupid?!
I don't know. Take your pick.

*deep breath*
And rant ends....
NOW!

So overall, I guess it was a decent show with mostly good matches. I'm just really upset by the main events.
Oh, and one more thing, they skipped JoMo vs Ziggler!
What, they couldn't have fit that in with all their groundbreaking new material like John Cena overcoming the odds and a Montreal screwing for the Undertaker? 'Cause, ya know, they really needed Kane vs Khali in the show! Goddammit! I mean, seriously-NO! Done ranting...
For now...

Ah well, maybe a Punk vs Taker Hell in a Cell match can make me forget about all this debauchery.

MMMM... Just knowing the next PPV is Hell in a Cell is already getting my hopes up that it'll be bett...Oh man, I just realized that the Cena/Orton rivalry probably isn't over yet!
NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

*passes out from lameness overdose and too much pizza*

And that's my review.
See ya next PPV :D ... :) ... :? ... :( ...
