The victim is on the ground faceup. (EVERYTIME)
The attacker is standing by the wrestlers feet.
The attacker grabs the victims legs/feet.
The attacker falls backwards while still holding the victims legs/feet. It is supposed to look like the momentum from the attacker falling backward carries over to the victim who then:
The victim flies up and over the attacker, but flies FACE FIRST into either the rope or the turnbuckle.

That's a Slingshot Catapult.

Hai-ho. I stand corrected. Thanks and +rep. :D

7. Bret Hart

Someone finally mentioned Bret Hart. I liked him a lot when I was much younger.

I remember staying up late to watch matches between Bret Hart and Diesel as well as the one against his late brother in a steel cage.

He was good in the 90's in WWF but the Montreal Screwjob effectively retired him - WCW utilized him poorly and gave him a career-ending injury.

The first Bret Hart match I ever watched was Bret vs Austin at WM13 in a Submission match... it was the first time I saw in-ring and out-ring savvy from both wrestlers. It was a good one at that time. I mean, it was even the first hardcore match I ever saw because they were hitting each other with almost every object they can get outside the ring.

I'm still asking myself why was Trips in that ambulance in the first place. Was that his new ride or something? It was so random.

It was purely for the shock value to the fans. Although it'd be funny if he just rode around in an ambulance all the time.

Also, shouldn't Orton be the WWE champion since Batista never showed up? Man, logic and wrestling don't mix together very well sometimes.

Yeah. But it's not surprising. They change the rules all the time. Sometimes guys get involved physically and a match keeps going. Sometimes a guy just shows up and the match gets called no-contest. There are just a lot of inconsistencies in wrestling.

Azuran wrote...
Yeah, it hard to name a good Orton/Triple H match. IMO, the best one was their Last Man Standing match from No Mercy 2007. I believe one of the reasons why Orton/Trip matches suck is because both of them have a similar style of wrestling. Also, they seriously need to elevate MVP to main-event status already. He's way to good to be stuck in the midcard for life. It would also bring some fresh blood to the stale RAW scene.

Agreed. No Mercy '07 was pretty much the only good one. And yeah, I think maybe the similar styles makes it boring.
And agreed, again. MVP deserves it and it would really make RAW less dull.
Also, over on Smackdown, I think we'd both agree that John Morrison deserves a major push as well.

Yeah, Punk/Hardy would be an awesome feud. Also the entire thing write itself. Punk, the straight-edge guy vs Jeff Hardy, the person with a history of drug use. I doubt the WWE would go that way though. Still it would be pretty awesome.

 That cracked me up.
Hey, did you notice at that PPV where Jeff was "struck in the head in a hotel stairwell" that someone had a sign that said "Please Stay Clean Jeff." I about shit my pants laughing at that.
Best. Sign. EVAR!

That's it! Thanks, Azuran.

The only video of a Slingshot Catapult I can find on Youtube doesn't really look that bad. It is when the victim FLIES from the "momentum" is when it looks dumb. 8)

I hope CM Punk becomes a full-blown heel. He was an awesome heel at the indies and ROH. I mean, he can use his straightedge persona both as a face and as a heel.

He actually was a heel for 2 straight episodes of ECW as a member of the "New Breed", but reportedly Vince wanted him as a face, so he was instantly written off the group.

Here's an excerpt of the promo he had against Raven (taken from Wikipedia):
Spoiler:
"So here we are in merry old England. CM Punk, Straightedge Wrestling Superstar. And what's the national passtime here in England? Certainly isn't *wrestling*... You think every single person here in this crowd is here to see *wrestling*, but they're not. You see cause there's a bar, right over to my right right here. (To a fan wearing glasses) What are you hear for? Four eyes what are you here for? (Another fan shouts "to drink beer!") To drink beer, EXACTLY. You're here to drink beer. You're a LOSER, and your dad probably beat you when you were a kid... which was probably two weeks ago. (Now facing the camera) He's so drunk he can't even keep the poison in his mouth. You see I believe in three things: No drugs, no alcohol, and no promiscuous sex. See I'm a fine, upstanding individual... and if these fans came to see me, they came to see somebody who's better than them. Now England is known for soccer -- at least that's what we call it in America. You guys call it "football," but I'm here to *wrestle*. Tonight, I'm here to destroy Raven, and I'm here to destroy every single one of Raven's fans. Who's a Raven fan here? No damn sense! None of you have any damn sense! (Crowd starts to chant "al-co-hol! al-co-hol!") DRINK! Keep drinkin'! Keep drinkin I WANT you to die! You smoke too?! Keep smokin'! Drink up, England... I WANT your liver to fail. Smoke up England, I WANT you to die. And here, speaking of death, right here tonight in that very ring - GET A SHOT OF THE RING - tonight, just like I did in America I'm gonna' DOMINATE you, Raven. And your time in FWA will be "nevermore." And you can quote THAT, bitch."

And another good speech of his after he defeated Aries in ROH:
Spoiler:
"Isn't this the prettiest little thing you've ever seen? It was over a year ago I held this belt high in the air after I fought for it for the first time in Dayton, Ohio against Samoa Joe and I proclaimed this belt the most important thing to me. Right now, in my hands, as of this day 6/18/05, THIS becomes the most important belt in the world! This belt in the hands of any other man is just a belt, but in my hands it becomes power. Just like this microphone in the hands of any of the boys in the back is just a microphone, but in the hands of a dangerous man like myself it becomes a pipe-bomb. These words that I speak spoken but anybody else are just words strung loosely together to form sentences. What I say I mean, and what I mean I say, and they become anthems! You see, if I could be afforded the time here a little bit of a story. There was once an old man, walking home from work. He was walking in the snow, and he stumbled upon a snake frozen in the ice. He took that snake, and he brought it home, and he took care of it, and he thawed it out, and he nursed it back to health. And as soon as that snake was well enough, it bit the old man. And as the old man lay there dying he asked the snake, 'Why? I took care of you. I loved you. I saved your life.' And that snake looked that man right in the eye and said, 'You stupid old man. I'm a snake.' The greatest thing the devil ever did was make you people believe he didn't exist...and you're looking at him right now! I AM THE DEVIL HIMSELF! And all of you stupid, mindless people fell for it! You all believed in the same make-believe superhero that the legendary Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat saw some year ago today. No, you see, you don't know anything. You followed me hook-line and sinker, all of you did, and I'm not mad at you...I just feel sorry for you. This belongs to me! Everything you see here belongs to me, and I did what I had to do to get my hands on this. Now I am the GREATEST PRO WRESTLER walkin' the Earth today! This is my stage, this is my theater, you are my puppets! When I pulled those marionette strings, and I moved your emotions, and I played with them, and honestly it's 'cause I get off on it. I hate each and every single one of you with a thousand burns and I will not stop...I will not stop until I prove that I am better than you, that I am better than Low Ki, that I am better than AJ Styles! I'm better than Samoa Joe. Ladies and gentlemen, the champ is here! You don't have to love it, but you better learn to accept it. 'Cause I'm taking this with me, and there's not a single person in that locker room that can stop me!"

He actually has promo skills WWE doesn't have the time to use. Now, hopefully we get to hear some rippin' from him.

I think WWE will go that way, actually. I mean, it's perfect - the former drug user versus the clean guy. Pretty much the same with the build-up of Kurt Angle vs Eddie Guerrero before WM20, with Kurt playing the heel clean guy versus Eddie the former addict. I think this will be a good storyline for Smackdown.

CM Punk is so awesome as a heel. Man, only good things can come out of that turn. Hopefully, his turn is slow so we can witness first hand all of his character changes. He should also start insulting people in a subtle way on his promos.

Also, Edge should move away from the title for some time. If I was the booker, I would have him feud with John Morrison. The main objective of that that would be to try to get over John Morrisono with the fans. Edge is a good heel so I shouldn't be too hard if things go right.

SD would also gain another valuable main eventer or upper midcarder.

I hope WWE makes CM Punk wear the black wide shorts again, it makes him look more of a heel than the 4-star briefs he's been using.

I really love what the WWE is doing with CM Punk right now. He's obviously a tweener and you can tell he's not getting the same love from the fans anymore. They cheer him when he was facing Jericho (mostly because they have no choice) but they boo him like hell every time he faces or touches Jeff Hardy.

Also, tomorrow's Raw should be good. Seriously, three title matches in one night can't be bad. I'll be surprised if the WWE screws that up.

I stopped watching almost around the time they went from WWF to WWE. Didn't stop watching 'cause of the name change (that was merely coincience) it's just at the time all my favorite wrestlers were disappearing.

Also, The Rock and Steve Austin fight were always the best. Still are IMO.

So good.

Randy Orton is the WWE champion. All is right in this world once again.

Also, Vince selling Raw to Trump sounds like a dumb idea. I really don't like where this is going. Well, at leas we're getting a PPV quality match next week (Just as long as they don't swerve us)

P.S: The Miz is awesome.

God bless that man. He's a true wrestling fan (even if people think he's lame).

You gotta admit though, the slow motion made the "It's still real to me dammit!!"
epic and lol worthy.

Endangered species :D But seriously, he's a great fan to have. Not too many people can claim to what he claimed.

What. the. FUCK?!
Donald Trump? Donald Trump?! That's it. I'm done as far as Raw's concerned. I REFUSE to watch as long as Donald Trump and HHH/Orton rivalries are running a muck all over the place. Fucking Donald Trump. That's the worst story line they've concocted in a LONG time. Although, I see where he'd fit in with wrestling. In wrestling everything's fake (i.e. a lie) and exaggerated to make it seem better and more extravagant than it is. Donald Trump uses these same tactics in reference to himself.
I just hope this shit doesn't go on for too long.

Sigh. At least I still have SmackDown. Hell, even ECW's better than Raw at the moment.

Yeah!! ECW Rocks!!

I was expecting Eric Bischoff :(

Anyways, right now is the time of the year where the annual Vince McMahon summer storyline takes place:

2006: DX vs Vince and the Spirit Squad (that one blew ass)
2007: Vince Limousine blows up
2008: Million dollar mania thingy
2009: Donald Trump

Yeah, at least we know Vince is gonna die... again. I guess we'll just have to bear it out.

WWE The Bash predictions:

No Disqualification match: Dolph Ziggler vs The Great Khali

Ziggler is getting a push right now and beating the Great Khali will be an easy way for him to accomplish some credibility in the eye of the fans.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler (multiple chair shots)

John Cena vs. The Miz

I really want Miz to win here but that's probably not gonna happen. In reality, John Cena is the poster boy of the WWE while the Miz is nothing more than a midcarder (an awesome one though). John Cena is probably gonna win, but I'm sure he's gonna make The Miz look good in his loss. As long as the match it's not a squash, I'll probably be happy.

Winner: John Cena

Singles match for the WWE Women's Championship: Melina (c) vs. Michelle McCool

What's this? A diva match in a PPV? When was the last time that happened? ANyways, Michelle McCool is probably gonna win and become the first diva to hold both the Women and Divas Championship

Winner: Michelle McCool

Tag team match for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship: The Colóns (Carlito and Primo) (c) vs. The Legacy (Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase)

Legacy wins. The WWE is trying to make Legacy a dominant heel stable, so it will be a lot easy to portrayed that if all members of the group are holding gold. This will be kind of like Armageddon 2003 where one stable ends the night with all of the championships.

Winner: Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase

Mask vs. Title match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship: Chris Jericho (c) vs. Rey Mysterio

Well, my last prediction was right after all. There's no way in hell Rey Mysterio is losing his mask but I also don't see Jericho losing the belt yet. Rey Mysterio wins by DQ, and both Y2J and Rey Rey keep their belongings. After this, I'm expecting Y2J to feud with John Morrison.

Winner: Rey Mysterio by DQ

Championship Scramble for the ECW Championship: Tommy Dreamer (c) vs. Jack Swagger vs. Christian vs. Mark Henry vs. Finlay

Tommy Dreamer being champion was nice and all but I really can't picture his reign lasting any longer. Scramble matches are always fun and exciting so I'm happy the WWE is having one again. Since there aren't enough credible baby faces in ECW, I'm expecting a heel to win here. I'll go with Jack Swagger because he's young and the WWE is really pushing him. After this, I see Christin and Swagger renewing their feud once again.

Winner: Jack Swagger

Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

I love Jeff Hardy but there's no way his winning here. Punk is currently in the middle of an awesome heel turn and has a lot of momentum going into the match. CM Punk wins by cheating as he inches a bit closer to the dark side. We could also see THE turn here if we're lucky enough.

Winner: CM Punk

Three Stages of Hell Match for the WWE Championship: Randy Orton (c) vs. Triple H

Seriously, how many times are we gonna get this same match? I'm really getting tired of this feud. Triple H wins the first fall with a pedigree. Orton then wins the second fall with a Super RKO somewhere outside the ring. In the Stretcher match, Orton wins and retains his championship with a little help from Rhodes and DiBiase. The show will probably end with all members of Legacy holding their belts up high.

Winner: Randy Orton

Yup.
