20 years or suicide?
Which option would you choose?

I choose room A, I'll simply have them include a switch that will give the clone the personality of who it is cloned from for a short period of time so that way i can converse with it whenever i feel lonely. Plus all the stuff i could ever want for 20 years is nice

I either pick room A of my own accord, or get pissed and wait it out. I'm a pretty violent guy with a short temper when I get forced to do something, so I don't go along most of the time

I think I would choose Room A, even if there was absolutely no way you could get your clone of a person to talk, if they could at least reply either with body language, writing notes, etc. I think it would at least be bearable. Plus, having access to anything you want would be rather nice :P
Another interesting thing, if possible, I would constantly request the newspaper, so at least I will know what's happening in the world.

Room A.
I'd just get on the PS3/360 and chat with sum noobs then pwn em at COD and talk shit like "MOTHERFUCKAS CAN'T KILL A DEAD MAN" or "Dumbasses can't kill me cause I'm already dead bitches." If they ever manage to kill me I'd lash out in an rage saying things like "I'll haunt the fuck out of you and your children for the next 20 years." I could get used to that for 20 years, provided a new COD is released every year or so. Besides, I get free food and slave things. I think I also get to start a new life with the things I asked for.

Uh... that counts as contact with the outside world. You can just play and talk trash to the CPU. If that's fun.

whoa.. Necro'd
i choose room A, i've been in live a room without much communication, TV or whatsoever except bathroom, outdated newspaper, a bed, and some nurse with space suit for 5 days..
Yeah, i got quarantined when there is swine flu issue.. I am a social person, but i think i can live with that.. Live is more worthy anyway and human have the ability to adapt, so no to suicide..

Room A. I'm dead to the outside world anyway. Why should I waste such an opportunity of indulgence before my time?

Nobody controls me! F the rules. (Probably would end up being tortured in the most brutal/painful ways possible for the rest of eternity because I didn't make a choice, lol.)
However, looking at the choices...most people would most definitely go insane within a couple of months if they chose A. Humans are naturally social creatures. Now, the level of how much social activity someone needs differs from person to person. However, I believe everyone needs something to talk/communicate with while living (doesn't have to be human...could be an animal or something with the capability to react naturally). Sure, playing non-multiplayer video games or doing whatever you can imagine is fun for oh so long, but eventually its going to come to the point where you will start to crave for social activity. So basically, you'll most likely end up losing your mind...there are creative ways to create artificial social interaction. Like the main character in Cast Away created the 'Wilson' imaginary friend as a way to stay sane. However, he wasn't stuck on the island for 20 years...
As for Door B, nobody would choose it if they were to suddenly wake up one day. Their minds are not prepared in any way or fashion to lead to a suicidal decision. However, the rules (according to the original post) never say that the bullet is used to kill the person who made the decision. What if I took the gun and shot the bullet at the wall. From assumptions, I guess since the door behind me is locked...I would basically just be stuck there until I kill myself by banging my head against the walls or by using the butt of the gun. Pray that something magical would happen if I didnt use the gun to shoot the bullet into my skull.

Trapped for 20 years with more luxuries than a man can possibly hope for sounds nice to me.
I would finally be able to taste every single food in the world, by looking them up through the internet and requesting them. C'est magnifique.

Room A for so many reasons. after awhile the days would mix together 20years would pass fast.
Plus I live in basic solitude for most of my life anyways, so whats 20years to me?
If I had seen this topic 2 months ago, it'd be a different response.
But yes, to room A.

Door A, you get 20 years to play every games you wanted to play, eat all the cool food you wanted to eat, have sex with as many different girls as you can remember (if your cold hearted enough to kill it and get a new one each month). I mean yeah it would probably be boring as hell and the lack of human contact might make you go a bit mental but its better then dying I guess.
Or maybe i'd just wait to piss them off. Depends how i'm feeling on the day I guess.

I chose Room A though I'm not sure if it would be as easy as it seems, 20 years is VERY long and eventually we get sick of one person, especially if it's one that cannot reply.
So basically I would just enjoy it till I become insane, afterall with a clone who will do whatever you want you can have a lot of fun, hohoho.

Id pick room a, albeit I see a loophole on how to make the clone feel emotions, but I would also want to be kept up to date on world affairs and current tech and games and whatnot, other then that I couldint care less about being alone.
btw, id so pick mio to "entertain" me
