Miscalculations only concern specific dates. Regardless of whether the end of the b'ak'tun is 2012 or 2220, there are still inscriptions referencing dates thousands of years later.

The Mesoamerican Long Count Calendar (or Mayan Calendar) is such designed that there will be "eras". Now we are still in the 13th b'ak'tun and when december 21, 2012 comes we will be in the next (14th) b'ak'tun. But it will be never the end of the world, unless there will be a nuclear war or an asteroid hitting earth or any other 'realistic' event.

This was some kind of documentary on it, its one of six. If you really want to understand a little more about the "background" of the whole discussion. personally i think its just another conspiracy that governments are trying use to control the world's population. Lol about the same as the so called many "flues"(swine, bird..etc)just in a bigger picture.

however there will more than likely something will happen... due to the mass hysteria that is slowly being created
if you ask me this is just Y2k all over again... what happened for y2k... nothing well besides Microsoft and Apple making an assload of money
so i have come to 3 possable conclusions
#1 the goverment is just taking advantage of a bunch of conidences for what ever reason
#2 some big corperate machine is building hysteria, and will build a safe house and charge people for entry... i guess you could say a get rich somewhat quick scheme
#3 its just some big practical joke among the scientific community
i mean lets face facts...
I will start with the bible code.... How many languages is the bible printed in today? you take a copy in every language and show me the exact same code (in each repsective language of course) and ill believe it, but that wont happen, Why? because its a conidence
the world will end eventualy, its just a inevatable fact, if you ask me its armagadeon will be caused by the hands of the human race, weather due to a full scale nuclear war, or whatever
take it as you will, but if you buy into the hysteria someone decended from you more than likely will have a hand in end of days
-its just humans doing what we have done for thousands of years, take advantage of each other, its kinda like survival of the fittest within the human race... a social civil war if you will.
the smart get smarter...and well for the stupid ones, who needs to endanger animals to test products on.
whats funny is i have money riding on nothing happening other than your a-typical hysteria things... Rioting, excessive violence, looting ect and should i loose the bet... thats fine too lol money is no good for the dead now is it?

...All I can say is...the film may be a good one.But the Judgement Day or the World's End seem unrealistic. I think it is some person wanna use the prediction to become famous and exposed under the media.
