Aliens...do you believe in them?
Do you believe in aliens?

I do believe in aliens, because the chance that we are the only intellectual beings in the entire universe and that we JUST have the right planet to live on... I don't think that's possible. I think that somewhere in the universe another intelligent lifeform is around, maybe they already know of our existance, maybe not.
Do you believe in them? And what do you think?

I don`t think Earth is the only Planet with Life in the whole universe. However i don`t believe that any Alien Lifeforms ever visited Earth.
This whole UFO Thing is total nonsense.

If you think about the amount of life this planet has and the infinite amount of planets you must come to the conclusion that SOMEWHERE something else has to be living. Whether our planet has been visited by other life forms remains to be seen but it would be quiet naive and pompous to think that we are the only living beings in existence.

Considering the infinity of space, and that we can be pretty sure that life can exist in the universe.
0.00000001 times infinity is still infinity, which means that no matter how slight the chance is, there may be an infinity of lifeforms.
I dunno how well this logix fare on an academical level, but thats why I have been telling everyone that there has to be a planet somewhere with all my favorite characters gathered.
It all depends on how to apply limited infinities in math, which I am yet to learn.

I can type a bunch of random stuff too and say that proves my point; your not special!
lol j/k <3
your logic is flawed beyond reason but i still agree that there is life out there.

yea i don't really get what he's saying either :P well I understand the logic part and such since I'm studying astrology but the chance on life on another planet isn't very small, if you think about it sciently only yes than it's unlikely but you can't only think sciently you must also think on another level. If you think about it that way the chances of being life on another planet isn't small at all. Well, I am hoping someday we humans will develop more in science that we can travel much faster and go much further in the universe to discover more :).

Yeah, considering the size of the universe it's almost impossible there isn't other life out there. The problem is it's also almost impossible we'll ever come in contact with any of it.

Brain goo, that is what happens when humans try out to much infinity. ^^
But now you'll have to repay me by keeping the conversation going. Since you two might just have ruined my way to prove that I am always right, I might aswell want to learn something.
Infinity can be found between 0 and 1, yet there is a 10 times larger infinity between 0 and 10. Can infinity be measured?

The earth is unbelievably small compared to the vastness of the universe. I strongly believe that we aren't the only beings in it.

I'm not a real math person but, I believe the answer is something like, it can be measured but, pretty much only in terms of larger and small and etc. than other infinities.

This is exactly how I think about the situation with aliens as well.

no i don't think infinity can be measured, at least not as far as I know.

Hmmm....it is pretty much impossible that we are the only inteligent beings in the entire universe as was said before.
But since we cannot prove that then i guess we can cause chaos here on FAKKU xD

I quite hope we won't find inteligent life in awhile, since we are so stupid ourself.
I swear, once we get alian contact, all our differiences as humans will be forgotten. Racism will end and the idiots will turn their hate towards those even stranger. I wouldn't want to give a whole diffrent form of life that welcome, so I suppose it should be done secretly or not at all.

Since we really have no idea if life does exist then there is no way to determine what the odds of us meeting other life is... it could happen tomorrow for all we know. If star trek is really correct and it will require us reaching a level of advanced technology before we do come in contact then it wont happen in our life time, either way; we (humanity) will one day know for sure.

well discussing this could go on endlessly, but I don't mind that I like reading what other people think and hell for what we know aliens may have been living under us already.. I don't believe that though, but we have no proof that its not true nor do we have proof that it is true.

Life on other planets exists. Maybe they are just small simple organism that have not evolved much. Maybe they are super beings capable of intergalactic travel, maybe the Human race is the most advanced lifeform in the entire universe, who knows?
If there are other intelligent lifeforms out there I can see why they have not bother to contact us, or visit us (if they are able to)
We wage war over religion, ideas, Politic, Money.
Petty little things.
We're all greedy, power hungry and selfish.
We are unable to trust anything (if they came down, we would most likely capture them, study them, and imprison them)

I'm in love with that gif. I like to think that showing it to all know-it-all people who spread their propaganda will make them insane, not that I can carry around a laptop everywhere so I never get to try it out.
And thinking like that really puts me in place when I think I know something myself. The infinity is not for us to know in our current form.

To be honest, I don't really give a shit if there's life on other planets. I mean, there definitely is, its beyond reason to think otherwise. However, there's enough shit going on here, on Earth, that its not all that important to be thinking about what's going on in places inconceivable distances from here. If they come here, then I'll have an increased level of interest, but until then, whatever.
Its already been implied, but what's to say that if we find life on another planet, its going to be intelligent. What kind of standards would we use to judge the intelligence of lifeforms that exist on other planets? We could use human intelligence as a standard, but that would be kind of arrogant.

i think that there has to be life somewhere else other than earth. besides the fact that by all rights our definition of life may be seriously flawed in the first place. life on other planets doesnt conflict with any religious teachings either(that i know of). just cause god greated us doesnt mean that we are all he created. i mean hell hes god. he mustve gotten bored at some point or another. look at the platapus for christ sake. that is the perfect example of trillions of years of boredom. as far as ufo thing goes idk. maybe we have been "visited". however i do not believe there was anything beyond fly bys and such. think of it this way. to get from one planet to another takes hundreds of years. thats in our own system. unless we missed something in our own system they have to have come from others. now for it to be realisticly possible to cross that distance they have to either be able to manipulate worm holes or have some other tech we dont know about. or they live for millions of years. in either case what do you think a life form of this type would have thought of WWII? or hell the war we are in now. they would have said "fuck this" and left(in another language but whatever). so i think a normal scouting mission(fly by) is reasonable but a landing is not because i dont think they would have deemed us worthy.
