Can You Be Happy Without Money?
0
I say if money never existed than yes. But as of now, if i found a blank check for a million dollars, it would be a turning point in my life. I would cry so hard that i would go blind, and tackle my closest relative, and babble about how i just found our ticket to a better life.
But i mean if you just want to be around people you love, then there is no money that can buy you any type of happy in that situation. Buying people was made illegal quite a while ago...When slavery ended.

After your stomach is full you start discoursing
The more you'r discoursing the less you seem happy
The more you have the harder it seems to be satisfied
SHIT! I say "learn to restrain" and the little things will start bringin joy. =(0:}b

happiness has mostly NOTHING to do with money.. it all depends on the person doesn't it?You beat me to it :( However, in this day and age, money is a huge factor in a person's happiness and standard of life. You can only get what you want through buying it from someone else, and you need money to do so. Unless you want absolutely nothing in life and want to die, money matters. Actually, even if you hated everything in life and wanted to die right away, you still need money to buy the knife to kill yourself with >.>

Personally, if I had great friends then money would hold little to no effect over me. I see countless examples of people, both real and fictional, who've formed everlasting bonds and I just wish that I had the same kind of friends to talk to, to laugh with, and to traverse life's rocky roads and pleasant pastures with.

Or you could be like Aishiteru and be happy with love... or something like that. And love, my friends, is free... I mean true love...

Love isn't always free nor does it always make somebody happy. True love might not be satisfying to some people, and love costs someone something one way or another. For Kippei to take care of Yuzuyu, money definitely has to come out of his pocket or else Yuzuyu would be taken away from him. (and that would be fu*king sad, I'm really glad that didn't happen in the anime, lol)

The saying money can't buy happiness is probably most related to the happiness that comes with love or different human bonds.
I couldn't be happy without money, my fav thing me and my boyfriend does every month when the paycheck comes is to go downtown and do a major shopping. We usually buy manga and some games. Depending if we need a new computer or camera or tv we end up buying that. Living the simple fangirl life is my dream and if i couldn't afford these things I think I'd be pretty bored, and bored means an unhappy cayena.

But being on Fakku needs money.Does Fakku costs? No.
But having Internet does.
I think the OP was talking about poor people that dont have a lot of money instead of being completely bankrupt. Case in point right here :/
I you have absolutely no money I believe you can still be happy. I dont know what youll have to do but Im sure there's a pure Buddhist out there that is at their height of happiness atm.
Besides leeching off your neighbor doesnt cost money :P

I could not, my mom works hard to support me and her and she spent/spends every extra dollar towards X-mas and everything important, without money i wouldn't be going into college for the thing im majoring in, i'd be a completely different person ...... the internet is my social life .....

It's been a while since I created this thread, so I am not certain what my exact thoughts were when I made it, but I do know this: I can imagine a life where only a little bit of money is necessary. I can envision myself one day living without the internet or TV, relying only on my mind and my friends to keep me entertained. Such a life would be filled with happiness that was not paid for with money. However, being able to see the life does not mean that it may ever happen. But I think it could. I wonder how many people feel the same.

Of Course, you can be happy without money but unfortunately life trying to put a price on happiness and everything you care about. Yeah, life suck that way.

This is a good question.
I think it's entirely possible to be happy without money. There have always been people in need of food and shelter, but were able to still be happy with the fact that they have love from their family and friends. There will always be people like that, however, in many cases those people have lived in poverty for much of their lifetimes. Going with the main topic of 'can an average person be happy' that's more often a no.
An average person can examine their life, see that they have friends and family who love them, and be happy for that, but many average people accustomed to living indoors, having food, and being able to afford entertainment will not be happy with being poor. So it's possible for an average person to maintain happiness even while poor, but it's highly unlikely.

i believe it entirely depends on the persons desires. someone who desires true love wont need money to be happy. On the other hand, there are materialistic desires which can not be obtained without money (legally).
example: happy to just talk with friends vs traveling.

How can you be happy? When you don't have money to pay a roof over your head and food to feed your self. I personally don't think i can be happy without no money. But in the other hand Money is the root of evil.

I'm broke and happy, but then again I would also be classified a pirate. Seriously though, whether you can be happy without money depends on your situation, location, skills and knowledge. If you live in a modern day society, then your chances of happiness without money is slim. If you live in the wildlife and enjoy the simple things in life as opposed to the materialistic things, then your chances of happiness without money is great. Those are just main examples.

It's depends on the person itself
For me it's no.. cause if you don't have money how are you get to feed yourself?,
and pay for roof over your head, internet expenses, electricity, to acces FAKKU
Cause to live isn't free... you need money to survive in this cruel world
But having too much money can lead you to the wrong path itself
It depends on the person....
