I'm not American, but I really like the scenery and the countryside there..
But personally, I hate the government and the attitude of some of their people - since my scooter got smashed by a guy who's driving a Mazda, and he just ran off.
PS - it's a Gilera 200 anyway (...bragging...), and it was my first goddamn scooter which I had the exhaust system modified. And I love it so very much!!
(No offence Americans, just trying to be honest).

I have nothing bad to say about this country, I love it and I have nothing bad to say about the way people here generally think and view things. Flaws may exist, but I believe these are present in any society.
Aside from that, I guess others have already said what i will
Oh one thing, just because a person has a degree means the person can perform the job that requires it or can 'keep it' if s/he somehow managed to get hired.

Pro Patria. So much about the U.S. of A. makes me proud to be born here. Most of that is emotional exchanges I've had with the people I know here, and I would like to say it is very possible I might have had those with other people in other countries had I been born in those places, but honestly it's the freedoms found in America that enabled most of those exchanges. The government is the worst that I've heard of, though, with lack of motivation being in second place. 100% of the people I know think the government is wrong and needs to be changed, yet no one is willing to take up the banner of American badass that we've glorified and, pump-action in raised fist, lead us in a revolutionary march on capital hill to change what we find wrong with America. Kinda the point of the Right to Bear(?) Arms: If we, the government, fuck you guys over, feel free to take up the local posse, grab your guns, and fuck shit up. I would do it if, ya know, I was any kind of leader at all.Sounds good, just let me know when you have enough firepower to take on the police and National Guard.
Hey we can buy M16 and M4 carbines and AK47's in America. That's enough to start a riot. If we can't buy it, we steal it. Easy as that Razz (Our military serves the people, as in, a lot of our military will side with their people cause their families might be rioting too.) Hypothetically speaking, If we ever have the need to riot

in my human studies class we learned that the reason most countries hate us is because their traditional values clash with (what they see as) American globalization.
the jihad v mac world theory sums this up very well. you may want to read about it.

Well government that support terrorism while fighting terrorism, then people who say if I can have nice life or cheap fuel then I don't care how many people have to die, then their democracy and capitalism that government is trying to force it on other countries. I'm not saying that communism is better but country is built step by step and so is its economy and everything else, you cant force it on and hope to work!!!

Michigander here.
Haha, same here, love nature, love buildings, I enjoy my freedoms. However, some people just really deserve a bullet in the ass. Also a Michigander.
As for the topic at hand: I Travel, Alot. Ive been to dozens of countries now, and I am only 19. America is my homeland yes, however, I don't treat her as such. Home for me is hwere the heart is, and it definatly does not stand with what this country has become, and what its continuing to devolve into. As a child without a proper mindset, I loved life, school, my friends, my family, and my home. Thing's change, and the ignorant pukes im forced to bear witness to everyday do nothing but needle my respect for mankind just a little bit more. I don't hate the states, but god damn am I disappointed in them.

Do not hate the US, I have only ever meet one person from the US that I did not like.
Everyone else have been friendly and nice to talk to.
The nature and some of the attractions (have only seen a few during a total of 4 weeks spent in the US) are also nice.
The only negative thing is the some of the moronic politicians (like the "monkey" president bush..)

Well, as a citizen of the states, I have to say its not all bad. However, yes, our retarded obsession with celebrities is something that I hated since I was a small child, and as for its overall population, I try to limit my personal contact with most on the sole basis that almost 75% of the people I have known in my life were complete jackasses, and it just kept getting worse.
And on a personal note, over here in Riverside, Ca, I don't understand how alot of the women I have ever come into contact with were just completely unbearable. When a person can spend almost 200 dollars on a cell phone bill, and then gripe about how they can't afford an apartment when they are only freshmen at a community college, it just boggles my mind.
There are things that bug the hell out of me, but all in all, this place is not nearly as bad as some other places.

As an american i can't really say that i hate its people, but i do hate the government to high hell. The system is good, but countless years of ignoring the faults of politions has left it full of holes that can never be fill. basicaly what i'm saying is i'm glad i plan on moving, since america is a sinking ship.

you're talking to a lot of ignorant people. "suck" is not a reason; at least, not after you hit double-digits in age.
America was born from ambition and because it is so young and got to be where it is now in such a short time everything it has done and ever will do (if it survives) will be met with great scorn far worse than any old historian.
I'm an American, and I'd have to say that I don't "hate" my country, but i definitely see myself as a foreigner. America is the only place where you can rightfully be called not a countryman despite your long inhabitants or citizenship just because you think differently. We have no history, thus, like I said, its "ok" to do.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't think most of the people that live in New England or the Bay Area fit your caricature.
I also think that the Grand Canyon is the most beautiful place on Earth, so I can't really hate the U.S.

America is actually a really great place to be. have you ever heard the old saying "ignorance is bliss?" well, the fact that the goverment hides so much things from us is actually decent. In other countries everyone knows the truth so theyre all unhappy but in america we all blindly live our lives without a care about whats happening in the rest of the world. In my case i know the truth but since it really doesn't concern me i turn a blind eye. once it concerns me personally then ill care.

No I don't hate US, at very least our military have it way far better than middle east's military does.
When I did a little checking up for once, no wonder why they always gets their butts thrashed so badly ><
They're so freakin fragmented and politicized and treats foot soldiers like they're trash. Oh and they hoard knowledge for power. Backstabbing as well.
In one paragraph I read, a sentence said a Sergeant first class in US military have as much as authority as a colonel in Arabian army does. That kinda says it all XD
That and I don't except to be drafted unless US military inexplicably takes some kind of unbelievable massive loss coz I'm definitely very low low down on the list of choice due to being physically disabled.

As a citizen who has grown up in this country. yes. i love the freedoms we have but on the same note, most people take advantage of them. anymore i see people who i work with who want a paycheck but dont want to do shit to earn it.
Our goverment is not much better, a bunch of suits who only act in their intrests to line their own pockets. our military ugh. WE ARE NOT THE WORLD POLICE, unless it affects us let other countrys sort their own problems out, Unless they ask for help.
this country wants to be a superpower but imports quite a bit more than it exports. its just a matter of time before the burning bridge colapses
