Oh yeah they were crushing the Germans until the winter kicked in and the Americas joined the fight and made them fight on two fronts..... Oh wait that was the Germans. The German commander on the eastern front blamed Hitler for diverting resources away from his war effort. If you have ever seen the tactics on the eastern front you'll see that if the war on the western front had not picked up Russia would have been completely crushed. Not to say that numbers don't matter there’s a reason they say when taking a fortified city the attacking force should have a 10-1 advantage. I'm just pointing out that numbers don't mean you will win.
To make this post fit in the thread I'll add the SWORD and no not a sword I'm taking about the robot warrior. I really don't know if it's the top model, but it shows the way warfare is going be waged in the near future.

It is true that hitler was the biggest facepalm in history, in fact he couldve won the war in the east almost outright. during Operation Barbossa, the Germans were supposed to head to Moscow, which was essentially russia's heart. the Germans were achieveing unbelievable success, where entire Soviet armies were encircled and destroyed by lightening quick blitzkrieg tactics. However, the fuherer in all his wisdom, decided to divert the wide majority of his panzer armies away from moscow and insead attacked the Ukraine.
This would have terrible consequnce later as this allowed soviet reinforcements from Siberia to arrive to fight against the Germans. when the Germans then move in to attack Moscow, the defenders were prepared. when the soviets won the battle of moscow, they would be one of the main forces to break the siege of Leningrad and stalingrad, therefore breaking any hopes for a quick German victory.

The chinese military is huge as well as the chinese terriotry. for such a large military, there would be supply problems such as food and fuel. no army in the history of mankind last long without those necesities. the people may be well motivated but they cant operate without a fluid and capable command staff. Many of its top leaders are conservatives in the communist party who believes of the power of the people. However, it is shown in recent generation of officers accept changes,but they are in a minority.
Its naval power is also outdated even with new technology which in comparison with western standards, state-of-the-art, the majority of its ships are at least 30 years old.
even with such a large army, it needs to be mobile and react quickly to conditions, it would be hell logistic wise to supply such a large body of troops and also with an even larger population who also needs to eat.

But I don't think the military have suits that say "MAXIMUM ARMOUR, MAXIMUM STRENGTH, MAXIMUM SPEEEEEED" all the time.
On a slightly more related note, I belive that America will either turn into an army of evil, take over the world (Before Pinky and the Brain) or be overpowered by the other countries working together. Otherwise, it may go the way some people are predicting. Down. Euro is looking to be the new 'cool' currency to have.
Did you know that The US has used military force a number of times, but has only actually declared war 5 times (the War of 1812, the Mexican War, the Spanish-American War, World War I and World War II). <- Which is probably wrong. Someone prove me wrong. The 'war on terrorism' one doesn't count.
