Obama Vs. Mccain

I wonder what that would look like if it was McCain instead of Obama. Also, I'll be voting for Obama. Lesser of two evils kinda situation.

Could be worse. He could be Al Sharpton.
omg. i heard Obama won in the projected votes.
hmm. i now frown upon the states that are America. :[
Yes, well, maybe he will win, in a delusional land in which the popular vote matters.

Just because it looks like Obama will be elected? Why is that a bad thing? It shouldn't come as any surprise, even if a person doesn't want Obama to win.
It seems that political power in America is like a pendulum, swinging back in forth. For some time, the Democrats will have power, then the pendulum will swing back the other way, and the Republicans will have power. Now, the pendulum is just swinging back, giving the Democrats power again. In four or eight years, we'll probably get another Republican in office.
Besides, the way the Republicans have been screwing things up the past couple of years, it's clear that people will vote for the Democrats given the chance.

I Being Sailor Vista, the Senshi of the Desert, Live in the Great State Of Arizona Predict that the little Saying here in this State Will Stand....
We never tell are kid they can be President because no one from this state has not won an presidential election. Berry Goldwater did not win and I bet Mccain will not either.
I voted for Obama already because I do not liken Mccain because some of his stance on issues, I am pro-choice for one, but I still would vote for him for senate and have before in the past two elections.

I'm curious. All the people who say they're not going to vote because they think McCain and Obama are both idiots, why not vote for a third party? A third party won't win, so it's not like if you vote for some random person, we'll have a Communist as president or something, and voting would show that people do care.Hell, I think even if you don't want to vote for either candidate or a third party, you should still vote for something. Just because the person who will become president is a douche in your eyes, that doesn't mean that person won't become president.
In life, you sometimes have to pick between two bad choices. If you're at work, and your boss says you can either spend hours filing boring reports about the budget, or you can spend hours filing boring reports about staff, you won't be able to say, "I don't like either option, so I'm not going to do anything."
Who cares if Obama sucks balls? If McCain's going to do more harm that Obama, why not vote for Obama? And vice versa. If McCain's a dick, but he's going to do better than Obama, then vote for McCain. Even if they're both going to do terrible jobs, and we'd be better off with a monkey, TOO BAD! A monkey isn't going to become president as a result of this election. It's either McCain or Obama.
I do applaud people saying they'll vote for a third party. If a third party candidate, or all the third party candidates together, get a large enough number of votes, it could change the way politicians view things. It may not, but at least it could have some effect. It's better to try.
This election is just like the episode of south park with Giant Douche vs. Turd Sandwich!
I've heard people reference that episode concerning this election. One person on IRC, in particular, said he was not voting because he refused to pick between "a giant douche and a turd sandwich."
At the end of the episode, didn't Stan realize that sometimes you have to choose between two shitty choices? Didn't Stan vote in the end? Do people not watch the whole episode, or do they just like to half-ass think about things?
Yes, he did end up voting, and you guys who are saying your not going to vote, you really should. This election is IMPORTANT. plain and simple. One of these men will rule the free world. Voting for president is, and always will, be important.

Man, it pains me to see some people not voting on the most important election in the world because they don't like either candidate.
Man, how I wish I could vote in today's election. One vote may be useless but at least you did something for your country. If you don't vote, you have no rights to complain about the results if you don't like them.
Go Obama.

I'm going to vote, yea it might not mean anything but at least then people can't say I have no room to bitch when Obama wins. Why would you vote for a greeny socialist anyway?

Why would you vote for Grandpa Munster and The Witless Wonder?
Not a socialist by the way. Democrat. As it turns out, there IS a difference.
But that's only what the dictionary says, so fuck that.
Oh, I kid. I don't care who you vote for, or even if you vote, I'm not really patriotic. I'm certainly not voting.

My honest to God hope is that Obama wins and the democrats win and take over the senate and congress. By doing so, I hope the republican party falls apart and they drop the stupid neo-conservatism.
Then I'm hoping they rebuild on a new platform of TRUE and REAL conservatism, as in, dramatically down-size our military, get our military out of most if not all the 200+ countries we have bases in and save us trillions in the process.
THEN we can finally focus on fixing our economy and coming up with good and healthy relationships with the middle-eastern countries who have all hat oil we want.
Seriously, no one is going to screw with Isreal, they have a TON of nukes... We really don't have to baby-sit them and the rest of the Arab nations. Would be better for us and THEM as well, if we quit meddling in shit.
Here's hoping for Ron Paul as the republican nominee in 2012.
P.S. I voted for Obama

Obama wins the popular vote hands down. Not that it means anything.
Let's see what the electoral college does this time.
Obama wins with 300+ Electoral votes(my exact guess is 353).
Have you placed any bets on this? I do see Obama winning the election though, but I see him doing it by a slightly smaller margin.

This is something I don't understand and may never understand - why is being a socialist tantamount to being an evil jackass who deserves to die? Socialism is all over the world, and it's not really a bad thing. Many European countries have incorporated Socialism into their societies, and they're not collapsing. On the other hand, some seem to be doing better than America, since currently our dollar is shit, our economy is shit, our nation is shit, etc.
Is the hate for Socialism like the hate for Communism - People hate it simply because it's Socialism, not because of what it's about?

That has to do with the Brentwood deal (good I hope I said that was right). Socalism never works. Captailism always does this though. Every Century you have a golden age (or a bustling economoy) then for an equal amoutn of time (this time maybe 8 years unless Obama stops it somewhat) someone fucks it up.
Better than all current systems, to say the least, but like all economic systems its a large pain in the ass.

Personally I'm a liberatian at heart but unfortunately most of the country is too full god damn retards for that to ever be a viable party to lead the nation. So I vote since I rather have a Harvard graduate have a tight grip to guide the fuck up nation back on the right track. But I know that the Obama we see is probably an illusion but at its the illusion of change.
