ugh...to me, it's still fine to love(not your normal one, the serious one, i mean) a character, even to dream a life with him/her(maybe i say it's fine cuz i'm doing it?)....but to go as far as to take some legal action because of it....ugh.

I, personally, do not see the issue with them marrying a 2D character.
I mean, there are all these rumors about brain-integrated computers and making brain-operated computer systems out there, so what's the harm in getting something like this out of the way now, rather then later?
'sides, like Ziggy mentioned, if they really are dumb enough to legally bind themselves to a computer graphic, then maybe the entire lot is up for a darwin award.

As long as the marriage doesn't come with actual rights to the 2D character, I don't really care. It's just annoying to see how abrupt the (Already bad.) otaku reputation can drop.
