I'm lazy. I voiced my opinion on this on an IRC channel and so I'll just repaste the highlights.

Another point is, think about the creators would feel? Someone somehow legally marries his/her creation without consent and without even asking.

How pathetic..... i really feel sorry for the guy or any other guy like that for the matter. These otakus couldn't handle/face the real world and thus they are running away from reality. Saying they want to marry a 2D character is probably because they were rejected by real girls and thus they look for a place to run too
