As much as I agree that this is a double standard, this will not go away for a long, long time. The fact is that this is a matter that has been genetically ingrained in us. This statement stems from the fear that men have towards reproduction. While the woman knows 100% that the child she's rearing is hers, the man will never feel that guarantee until he does a DNA test and even then, he has to wait til it is born. So yeah, it's rather easy to understand why women sleeping around is seen a lot more negatively than for men.

But it makes no sense why women who are serially monogamous are frowned upon as well.
That, for sure, isn't genetic.

1. A woman may be paid less than a man for doing the same job.
I always thought that was because women could get paid maternity leave (men can get it to but only with in a week or so of the due date.. I think) Though I think it's equal pay now but I think if they get paid maternity leave they should get less during that period at least.
2.A man may be required to sign up fight for his country/be drafted while a woman is not.
I don't get that one It's been equal for decades.
3. A man who has sex with many women may be admired by other men, while a woman who has several sexual partners is labelled a 'slut' or a 'whore.'
Women would call her a slut just as much as the men.
4. No matter what their relative incomes, some women expect a man to pay for everything on a date, rather than paying for themselves, splitting the bill at dinner.
I suppose it would be helpful to see if she is considerate or selfish by what she orders.
5.Men calling women "Bitches".
Only when they're bitching.
6.Men alway's think with their dick's.
I get really confused when I meet guy that do (ffs don't you have self control)
7.A man hits a woman he is a monster
8.A woman hits a man she is "Strong"
9.If a woman does a mans job she is considered a "Lesbian"(Mechanic for example)
I have all ways thought the reaction is "love what are you doing get in the kitchen a man can do it better"
10.If a man does a woman's job he is considered a pussy (e.g. stay at home dad, ballet dancer)
I'de say depends on the profession like ballet dancer/hair dresser assumed he's gay, stay at home dad he's a pussy, nurse people are used to it.

1. There is no equal pay law. The ERA never passed. Imagine: as a woman, you will probably earn 80 cents to every dollar a man makes; at the end of your life, when you want to retire, that's a pretty huge hell of a retirement fund gap.
2. Yes, women still aren't drafted. Which I find odd... then again, to my knowledge, the draft law has been revoked (I could be wrong on this...).
3. Women call 'sluts' the way they do because, as children (in the typical gender socialization process), they are taught to subtly enforce patriarchal standards: this is called "horizontal hostility", or the keeping of oppressed groups under oppression by teaching them to oppress one another.
4. I know of many women who flat out refuse to let a man pay their way, hell let ANYONE pay their way. And when they allow for it, it's only with a promise of reciprocal repayment. Hell, I hardly let my ex pay for me. In this economic era, who can afford to pay for two in a casual situation?
5. and 10. "Bitch" and "pussy" are terms used to apply feminine (and therefore 'weak') qualities upon and demean an individual. Sure, they're culturally excepted now, but it doesn't make them right. Gender slurs are just as bad as racial ones...
6. Yeah, that's a stereotype of men: not all do.
7. and 8.: No. Anyone hitting anyone is poor conduct. It's just that females are taught that it's less acceptable, and for the most part tend not to do so (it seems). Doesn't make it any more right.
9. Yeah... your answer right there, that's sexist.

The world isn't fair is my answer. Society decides how we view thing and it is hard to change ideas once implemented.

Actually, what I said still applies. If that woman gets pregnant, the man would worry that the child was from the previous guy. That's the thing about fear, it can be irrational, but it's there.

If a woman has been apart from her last partner for more than 9 months (the general term of pregnancy) and is monogamous with a new one, how is it questionable?
0
Monogamous only means she's in one relationship. It doesn't mean she hasn't been or won't ever be cheating. The fear that the girl might have slept with another man is always a threat. For all the man knows, the child may be due to one forgotten drunk night with a neighbor. The woman will know for sure that the child is hers (since it's in her and all) but the man can never be completely certain.
Also, the problem isn't whether it is questionable. I've already said it's irrational.

One thing that would really help end sexism is if we were to legalize prostitution. Amongst men sexual frustration can manifest as a resentment of women. So if we were to legalize prostitution it would be easier to get laid and a source of sexism towards women would dissapear.

I agree with pretty much everything said by Hentai Pantsu. And I think people are too quick to call sexism in much the same way that they are too quick to racism. There is s difference between discriminating against someone for something, and accepting the fact that people are different.
Men and women have different strengths in different areas, and it's not really helpful to the species for us to be more androgynous. I don't think women should be treated as less important than men, but I don't see the problem with women doing things women are good at and men doing things men are good at. There is clearly some room for crossover and exception, but in I mean in general.

I hate sexism in every form and shape, but what ive been pondering that i notice alot of women say is that they want a man who can take care of them pay their bills and to help with doing stuff, but then later they say they want men to respect them as a independent women who can take care of herself and not be treated like they always need help, know im not saying most women are like this but i just was thinking their are alot of women like that. and i find it very contradicting.
5.Men calling women "Bitches".~if there bein a bitch well then srry lol but thats what im going to call them just as if a guys bein a douch bag thats what a girl is going to call him.
6.Men alway's think with their dick's.~I had a teacher back in high school who showed us this video and part of it was basicly their was this sexist lesbian woman who hated men because of basicly #6 but in her relationship she wanted to be the male so she started taking hormone pills and she said she relized almost immediately its really not males fault because before she would see a hot girl and be like "nice body" but after the hormone pills she was like "dammmnnn shes fine" and before she relized it she was thinking a whole lot different

I contemplated this for a while and something I find interesting to point out: Both promiscious men aswell as women are considered desireable by the other sex (and even the same sex for homosexuals), at least for simple, uncomplicated intercoure. However, while labeling promiscious women "sluts" is something both genders engage in (which might be the "horizontal hostility" gizgal pointed out), so is calling promiscious males "studs". Now, one would expect that women should have as negative an opinion of "studs" as men have of "sluts", but that is not the case. Furthermore, more women actually engage in long-term relationships with "studs" than men with "sluts". One could argue that females encourage sexually promiscious behaviour in men, as the men can "prove" to be "good genes", while the opposite is not necessarily true of "sluts" (in fact, the whole "baby from another man" comes into play then.
My point being, the different treatment of promiscious people of the genders is enforced by both men and women.
5.Men calling women "Bitches".
I do not see anything inherently sexist in this. While it can be used sexist, most of the time it is not used any differently than as a female version of "asshole" or "bastard".

I've noticed in a lot of animes female character can hit men for anything, and it is always portrayed as funny, or somehow not a problem. Seems unfair to me
Although on one of the judge shows on tv i have seen women called out as abusers(and bu female judges), so that gives me hope that there are some people who don't judge the morals of a violent act based on the genders of the people involved

I guess what I had said wasn't "serious" enough, but I still believe that sexism is irrelevant. The only time something is considered sexist is when someone cares enough to bitch about it even when it doesn't really matter.
