I know it might be a bit early to be asking but with all the presidential debates going on I just have to ask. Who do you want to win the 2012 U.S. Presidential election? Why? If not to win, who do you most agree with? I will list only the most popular candidates. Anyone else can be categorized into Other. All candidates listed here will be based off of the declared candidate list on http://2012.presidential-candidates.org/My vote is for Ron Paul. His views on smaller government, foreign policy, economics, and social issues just make sense. He seems to present himself as a man that is motivated by the constitution and sound principles rather than money and fame. People say he is unelectable but that is clearly not the case when he has been re-elected into congress 11 times. He also doesn't change his principles and beliefs based on his audience. He seems much less concerned with winning than he is with the actual issues. The media has also proven to be afraid of him. Fox news has altered and manipulated polls and video clips to try and discredit this man. He wins second in the Iowa straw poll and he is rarely even mentioned in the media. The polls released by Fox never show Ron Paul winning, despite the numerous polls where he wins in a landslide. The try to turn the online polls around by saying that the majority of Ron Paul supporters are internet users but they are a small group. Everything about Ron Paul just sounds like a good idea and the fact that the media is so afraid of him makes it all the more sweeter.
I definitely go for Ron Paul (not ashamed) because he has been telling the country for over 30 years that if the people keep voting the candidate based on popularity and not based on fact the country will someday be in a sort of a crisis.
He has warned millions ( if not even tens of millions) that America will soon face a financial crisis and not long the country will have to deal with people "behind the curtains" who wants to destroy the freedom in his country.
He has been dissing Bush & Bush and Clinton AND even Obama for NOT doing a good job. He was also saying that they have took action for their OWN benefit.
Hell he has not done ANYTHING bad at all. You can see for yourself just how much the other candidates and media are trying to push him down because he is SLOWLY but SURELY winning the PUBLIC'S FAVOR.
Just my own opinion about Ron Paul.. been researching him for QUITE a while now and I gotta say.... thumbs up for me.
Smile Ron Paul lovers XD

Let's admit it, the president that will be elected next will give false promises and by the time we realize it their term is over and things are just more messed up. There is just so much the president can do. Like my history teacher told me, if the government is doing good, don't think it is the president because congress is the one who does all the work. That's why congress can turn down Obama's plans and there is nothing Obama can do about it. So to make things a little more bearable, why not re-elect the president that makes even bad things sound a lot more more more bearable. Obama for second term!!!

I am gonna do a Richard Pryor and do a campaign for vote no none. On a serious note why should anyone bother to vote? Our vote is the popular vote which actually means nothing. The electoral college vote is the one that actually gets counted. @the unknown of course all the promises they made are gonna go unfulfilled the president only has control over the various armed forces of American and is the governments poster boy (or girl when it eventually happens)that gets all the heat when things go arwy within the government from the public. When the public should be focused on the senate when things go wrong however the problem is these dotards don't have public attention because they work behind the scenes. Hey, like it is said "Out of sight out of mind."

I guess one problem with the libertarian ideology is that their "right to do anything" mentality extends into the right for corporations to give money freely to any candidate they see fit, as a sort of freedom of speech issue. what ends up happening, however, is that those with enough money to buy the state, decide what rights everyone else is allowed, thus circumventing the whole idea of libertarianism. You may need to clarify if you are speaking about Libertarians or libertarians. Yes, there is a difference depending on which case of the L/l you use. Libertarians don't care about corporate person hood since the corporation is largely owned by the shareholders who could in turn all collectively donate money to a particular campaign so eliminating corporate person hood you effectively do nothing which brings me to libertarians. They are not unified on corporate person hood but, those who subscribe to the more "left" varieties like left-libertarianism, libertarian socialism, various forms of Anarchism are all opposed to corporate person hood for the various reasons.
It's not exactly fair to lump all libertarians into the same group. It's a broad spectrum of ideas with a common focal point of personal liberty.

All I know is the one person I DON'T want to win, and that's Rick Perry. Fuck. Him. I didn't know a lot about him until a month ago, when my brother brought him up. A man who ignores his advisor's advice on almost aall economic problems, then blames them anyway for te huge debt Texas gets, a man who encourages the young earth creationism and science bastardization of the texas school board, AND he holds a day of prayer back in August so people can try to fix things by wishing really hard?
Fuck. Him.
Fuck. Him.

Although I have been a fan of Barack Obama, I think that the best candidate for presidency for next 4 years if Ron Paul. I consider myself a liberal, but Ron Paul just captured my mind. Besides, he has the least connection to the large corporations that control the U.S. government.

Is Rick Perry the Texas governor who executed about 300 people or so and people were clapping when they heard about that? I haven't been paying attention to the candidates. If it is then I will agree with you. His character seems like the one who really does everything to get popular and wouldn't help a homeless man unless he is on camera. He seriously sounds like the type who will go to war just because he can.
On a side note: does the only thing the women have is "the children game." They keep on bringing up the amount of adopted children they have. It somehow pisses me off a little. Sure if I was that rich and could afford a full time babysitter, I will adopt thirty children.
