Ace Combat: Assault Horizon

awesome, jawdropping trailer, im definitely getting it as an AC fan ;P although ive never played AC6 or 4, i loved 1,2,3 and most especially 5.

This really is a difference from the original AC games, especially that now its set in the real world, not a pseudo-real universe.

What do you guys think?

Damn I love the Ace Combat trailers. Still have the AC6 trailer on my 360 so I can watch it now and then.

Loved 4, 5, and 6 so I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this game.

As a fan of Ace Combat series, this is a mandatory purchase.

I just hope that story won't be as much of a horrific mis-mash as 6 was. True, Ace Combat isn't as much about story as about high-speed, adrenaline pumping aerial dogfights, but 5 and Zero were much better than six IMO. And had way more planes. Seriously. And ace fights. Strigon weren't as impressive foes as say, Sorcerer or Schwarze.

The "operations" idea from 6 was pretty fun tough, and allowed you to "personalize" your battlefield by assisting specific units. I looking forward to seeing how they'll develop this concept...if they will.

Graphics are one of the best, hands down. However, I do wonder if buildings will be destructible...that would be awesome. No more skyscrapers standing after being hit with 5 FAEB's.


Hopefully, it will come through pretty solid...if not, my Morgan will be out for some blood.

And 360 controller isn't bad...of course, this may stem from my belief that PS2 controller is one of the worst devices ever made.

Holy shit!!! Did I just see an Apache do a barrel roll. Does this mean you can fly certain holicopters now in this upcoming Ace Combat game. Is there a link to the website for the game. OMG, and did I just see an action sequence where you have to press certian buttons, or else. Either this is going to be an epic and satisfing game in the Ace Combat Series, or a major disappointment. And with no major dissapointments so far from the Ace Combat Series, I hope this won't be a first.

PS3 only unfortunately.

Hope they havent fucked it up with the Apache ETC though cause im strictly in it for the high speed air combat. BC2 can keep the Helos as far as im concerned!

Kind of sad they will be ditching the old world and having everything set in the real world, but still looks like a good game. Now I just need a PS3 or 360, as I've been gaming on my PC for a while now...

Anywho, I can't wait for this Ace Combat. I like the style of it. It seems Realistic, but it also retains the bit of that same ol' arcade action like in previous titles too.
